Go see Ena!!! She does a thorough, clean job on my gel nails- no product left on my skin and no painful zips on my cuticles!

For the low, low price of only $300, two of us got gel mani/pedis that looked like this. Absolutely awful. The man that worked on me was unpleasant, and either made excuses why things couldn't be fixed, or "corrected" them in a way that did nothing. No cuticle care or top coat. The wet, heated towel draped on my legs was hot enough I had to throw it off. Unfortunately, my husband paid before I had a chance to say something. So disappointing read more

WORSE overpriced pedicure ever!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Be aware that they don't do services that are listed on their menu. Make sure you clarify what's included. However, they will cater to you if you purchase the most expensive pedicure. Other than you are just the chopped liver there. read more

Terrible service. Rude staff. Turn on your Google translate and see how badly they talk about customers

My Sister went in (had appt scheduled 2 weeks prior). She came home with skin ripped off her cuticles and fingers. The woman (apparently the owner) that did her Brazilian...messed up and ended up having to scrub her private area excessively to clean her up and fix what she did. On top of that horrible experience, the shape of her nails is incorrect and sloppy. My sister was offered a redo on her nails but the state of her fingers was not ok. She was actively bleeding upon leaving and no further action was taken and she was charged full prices for all services. Even after feeling violated, and having the skin ripped off her fingers. We will be calling in the morning to make formal complaints. read more

I come here often when I am in Juneau for extended periods. My friends and I make it an afternoon on a weekend with Moroccan oil pedis with hot stone massage and a delicious meal at the husband's Pho restaurant on the other corner of the building. You should too. Get to know them and they will treat you right and reset you for the next work week. read more

Wow, not only did they overcharge me, but the nail polish started chipping and peeling the same day it was done. I had a manicure with polish and a pedicure with gel polish, charged for gel manicure (did not get) had the upgrade with supposed massage etc, but the old man doing my manicure didn't massage, polish was so sloppy, and flaked off within hours. I paid good money over $130 and I certainly did not get the services I paid for. Shop of schyster's, pedicure was sub par flaking n peeling in days. I hope you get back the bad karma you deserve. Every nail service in this town I've been to so far, the one by the cemetery, the one across from the bowling alley, they all give crappy manicures n pedicures. what a scam what a waste! Thanks for taking my money n giving me crappy service. They must scrub the bad reviews, as I have heard since about their crappy service. Save your money n have your toddler give you a manicure n pedicure, it will probably be better than what the nail bar can do. read more

Nails where done beautifully. I just wish they where more sanitary. I witness them not clean their station before a new client sat down. So it made me wonder do they clean the instruments they just used on me? I feel very uncomfortable returning because of that, but the work they did was nice, just not knowing if things are clean bothers me. read more

This place is amazing! Clean, professional, relaxing, and just what a new mom needs to take a break!!! Juneau is notorious for run of the mill nail salons that don't take the time to give you a good service and charge you so much. This place has affordable options without feeling shorted! They have tons of nail color options, all of the technicians are lovely, and they even do parrafin dips!!! The pedicure bowl has a disposable plastic cover which they change every time to me more sanitary! Love love love this place and I will definitely be back!!! PS. Eena is amazing! Takes her time and so talented! read more

They were super rude when I walked in to get some nails done that had to be fixed from breaking off. I hate to write the review but had such an odd experience. I asked her to make the rest of my nails white after I had got the others fixed and she just totally ignored me. Rolling her eyes at me and acting like a high schooler was super weird. All the nail techs were trying to make fun of me or something when I walked in because I told them I called a guy on the phone and they said there's no guy here when there was literally a dude right in the corner with a headset on. The lady who was doing my nails when I walked in was just sitting there on her phone and when I asked her to fix them she acted like it was some big inconvenience when I was literally giving them business. Talk about entitled! read more

Very friendly people here. I go here every time I am in a Juneau and recommend it to everyone. They also own the Pho restaurant next door.

I made an appointment for mani/pedi. I walked in about 7min late, the guy helping me looked at the clock. I told him that I had regular nail polish on my toes and dip on my fingers and I would like the dip again. He said I could only get the classic pedi because of my untimeliness. I have to admit I was a bit annoyed and worried that they were just going to rush with me. I picked my color fast. They did my toes and wrapped my fingers at the same time. The lady that did my toes did a really good job cutting my nails and with the massage. They both had really good sense of humors and made me laugh. After my toes were done, they moved me to get my dip on. This is my second time getting dip. I got it done while on vacation in Texas the first time and it was pretty thick. This guy really knows what he is doing. He shaped my nails really good and the dip is not too thick! Overall I had a really good experience here and will go back again! read more

The pedicure was outstanding! My manicure was a masterpiece. My technician was awesome. It has far outpaced any pedicures that I have had in the past My pedicure goddess was named Nancy. Called Friday and made an appointment for one pedicure for Sunday at 3pm. Showed up 10 minute to 3 and to my surprise they didn't have me down for my appointment. Instead they told me my appointment was at 12 and I had missed it. No form of apology for messing up the appointment time as I stood there for five minutes just for them to tell me they had no space for me and all they could do is rebook me. Poor customer service and communication if they had moved my time. Will not be going back. read more

I have gone twice now, while in Juneau, and I haven't been disappointed! The first time my aunt and I had a reservation and we received a pedicure and manicure, which was extremely relaxing and spot on. The treatment was thorough to the point of almost falling asleep due to the care the team treated us to! The second time, I came in as a walk-in by myself. I was a little worries I wasn't going to be able to get in, but the staff fit me in before I had to get to the airport. I requested dip powder nail extensions with a French ombré color and I was over the top pleased with the result. The nail technician asked me every step of the way if I was pleased with where he was going with it, he constantly wanted to make sure I was happy with the progress, and he reassured me every step of the way that he knew what he was doing. Once finished, I was over the moon with the results!!! It was exactly what I wanted and when a stubborn nail wasn't to his liking (the top coat wasn't as shining as the rest) he made sure to correct it and make it just right! I am very pleased with the services that I have received thus far from the nail technicians that I have utilized and plan on returning each time I'm in town! Attached is a photo of the French ombré nails I received the second tIme, which I have been receiving numerous compliments on everyday since! read more

I am sorry to leave a bad review but I had a manicure tonight and will not be going back. I've been going the Nail Bar occasionally since they opened and always had a good experience but tonight I was so disgusted with the lack of sanitation that I just can't go back. Upon arrival I was seated at a station just vacated by a previous client. Nothing was cleaned between customers including the station and the tools. The same tools were used and were obviously dirty. I am very frustrated that I didn't just stop and walk out but I didn't want to make a fuss but as more time goes by the worse I feel about the entire experience. I watched multiple clients come and go around me and no cleaning happened between clients and the tools were not cleaned. Disposable items like file continued to be used and were not thrown out after each client. I just hope I don't get an infection after this experience. read more

Just got engaged and I'm so glad I got my nails done here! They did a fantastic job on a full set! My daughter and I go every month for a pedi, awesome ladies. They are usually booked in advance, so going in person to make appt works best. Great atmosphere and awesome work, very competitive prices too. If you're not a local don't bother, our small town feel/atmosphere will never measure up to the fancy places in big cities like Seattle, Wa and Orlando, Fl but we like it that way! read more

An amazing, updated salon. Much needed in Juneau. I've had manis, pedis, acrylics, fills and nail art done here. They are clean, kind and very up to date on the newest trends. Absolutely affordable. They also offer waxing and lash extensions! read more

I've given this place four chances because I wanted to be in love with it. I got two pedicures and two gel manicures. This place is great for Juneau, because Juneau doesn't have anything "fancy" like this. If you have had your nails done, however, down south then you might know what I'm talking about. They have great service and do good work here but if you get gel nails, they won't hold up. The gel gets scratches and it shows up like crazy. It also chips. I have never ever experienced gel doing that, so it is just how their polish it. It shouldnt chip or scratch, it should just grow out and be in very similar condition. Also my first pedicure completely wiped off somehow after a week. Again, not due to skill but I think polish. read more

This is my THIRD time going to The Nail Bar and I have never left unhappy. I have had three different nail technicians provide me services such as a basic manicure, a gel manicure, a classic pedicure, and solar nails. Each nail technician ensured their work would be near perfection, and consistently asked or checked in on how I "liked" what they were doing. They run a really well maintained, calming, and professional salon atmosphere. I never feel like the services I paid for are rushed or hurried. HIGHLY recommend making an appointment and getting your nails done here!!! read more

After having my nails repeatedly done poorly in Juneau at different nail salons, I came upon the new Nail Bar and thought, well can't be any worse! I am so glad I took the time. They are wonderful! Ambiance is clean with relaxing sounds, no one rushing the technicians.. Ena did my gel manicure with care to the cuticles as to not tear or cause bleeding. Even filed my nails without leaving edges! Yes sarcasm, as all the horrible things that can go wrong have gone wrong in Juneau nail salons. They have over 300 colors for polish choices l, they take there time and actually care about customer service! Much needed in this town! I recommend for those who are tired of gel lasting 4 days or less or have been left with tender nail beds.. check them out! read more

Whoever did my nails pretty much beat the shit out of my hands with the dremel and left dust all over my hands the entire time. I told her I had decided I didn't want gel on my hands because they were so brittle after she used the dremel to remove my old gel, and to leave them with just clear coat on and she continued to put clear gel on me and charged me $30. She didn't even clean up my nails with a file or trim my cuticles. Worst experience I've ever had read more

Wonderful, soothing & relaxing place! Of course, I was here on a Tuesday afternoon, so it was much less crowded than on a weekend. However, high-quality service & high-quality products. THIS is the quality that I've been looking for in Juneau. My nails are thin & delicate - not only was the technician gentle (no bleeding!), but added additional layer for strength (chose gel). I'll update in a week or so, once I see how well they hold up. read more
