I met Emily while seeking treatment for a neck injury after a car accident. She's friendly,…read moreattentive, and superbly skilled. During our first visit, I explained that my neck injury treatment would be complicated due to bilateral shoulder injuries. I explained that they were out-of-state work related injuries and that I was having issues finding providers willing to take me on due to the insurance issues. Emily volunteered to sign on as a provider. Just like that. She cheerfully filled out all of that paperwork. Over the past couple of years, Emily has treated me for my injuries through two surgeries (and likely a third soon) with the same gracious ease and compassion that she exhibited that first day. She's treated my husband for a knee injury (same car accident) and my son when his knee was annihilated on the football field. She's been a fantastic cheerleader and advocate for me throughout this ordeal. Honestly, there are days when I feel like Emily is the only person involved in my care who actually listens when I talk. She knows when to push and she knows when to stop. She's also funny and charming and makes the work of recovery seem less like work. When Emily took some time off to have a baby, my treatment was taken over by Steve. Steve is just a skilled and friendly as Emily. He's easy to talk to and willing to consider all available options for treatment (even crazy sounding stuff like "Dry Needling"). He's also not offended when you tell him that you'll never consider that painful, new aged hooey ever again. These folks will go out of their way to make sure that you get what you need to get better. You just have to show up and sweat. So, when you find yourself busted and broken, I'd highly recommend the team at KORT in New Albany. You'll get top-notch, compassionate care from people who actually love what they do and do it well.

Terrible experience with this company. My husband went to a branch to get a specific service done…read moreand was not given that service, after being told he would. We paid full price, and have not been able to get a refund for weeks. The staff in the office was extremely unhelpful, and the staff in the corporate office has been impossible to deal with. We spoke to the staff on site, their district manager, accounts payable and HR. After speaking to HR personnel, she confirmed we are entitled to a refund. However, it was never submitted and after leaving 5+ messages, we were finally told that the refund will be processed today. The "confirmation email" we received was a COPY of the bill we had paid. I do not recommend this company in any way. This has been weeks of back and forth, even with admission from both physiotherapist and HR that we should receive a refund for services not performed. This company is not looking after the best interest of their customers, nor their health as they advertise.

The difference between Kort and the other home health agencies is extreme! Let me tell you why. - [ ] The longest an agency has ever stayed in the home was 6 weeks. It has now been 3 months. Awesome! - [ ] Therapists care about me at Kort. As long as I show improvement, they want to stay and cheer me on. - [ ] We constantly meet goals and make new ones! Over and over. - [ ] I always know when they are going to be here. - [ ] Diligent on working with insurance to make sure visits get covered. - [ ] We do skills/tests and compare with previous times. It not only helps justify to insurance but me as well to remind me how far I have come. - [ ] POC is never boring. Always finding new ways to exercise or incorporate them into my daily routine. - [ ] Whenever I had pain from a visit they would help me through it and we would be back at it again in no time. Therapy didn't give up on me, they empowered me! I never imagined how far I could progress. - [ ] My endurance has quadrupled. I can clean the counters off in the kitchen. I can make meatloaf and tortellini! I was lucky to warm up meals in the microwave before. - [ ] When I had to go to the basement during storms, I felt confident to manage the steps. - [ ] I can use my left hand again. Wash my hair with both arms/hands. I have a pencil grasp again!! I can open and close my hand again. Before, I felt as if my hand was just hanging there. I didn't do much with it. - [ ] My balance is back. I can self correct when I stumble. - [ ] I use a cane now. I use the rollator only during the bad days of MS. I'm sorry, I have to repeat that, I use a cane now!! I haven't used one in 5 years!!!! I couldn't ask for a better experience or better therapists. Ashley and Ariel have made a huge impact in my life.
