The store stocks a basic variety of fish for sale, but that's about the extent of living stock in the store. As for other produce, the store has all the things mentioned above, and well as some pretty cool looing dog treats. For example, turkey necks. For some reason I'm always glad to see these types of doggie snacks in a pet store; if I had a dog handy I'm sure he'd love them. Until that day however, I'll just keep browsing dog treats and not buying them. Long story short, there are bigger and grander pet stores, escpeciallly if you're looking for new pet (this store should only really be fequented by those who already have a pet, and need only accessories). As it turns out the store sells one of the biggest ranges of dry, wet, fresh and frozen pet foods which explains the large number of customers in here on the weekends looking for some treats to spoil their dogs, cats and other animals. Rather than being your typical friendly pet store where you feel you can have a chat with the owners or sales assistants about what food would be best for your pet, the store seemed more like a big k-mart wanting to get customers in and out the door as fast as possible. The fact that there was also a large cage in the middle of the store where there were some chicks gathered in one corner under a heat lamp, seemed like the store cared more about the dollars than for pets.

The animals at Pets Paradise are gorgeous - if their animal practices which are not.... What do you think happens when people don't by these small little creatures and they start to get bigger? Where do you think they go.... to the puppy farm up north? Try again.... The animals are put to sleep... they're killed because they weren't sold... not so "Paradise" is it.... More than that - why not google the words "Pets Paradise" and "bad" and you'll see photos of the terrible conditions some of these animals are kept in....suddenly the store will look more like Pets Prison! If you want to love and care for an animal which will really really really appreciate your home go to the RSPCA - don't support business's like Pets Paradise which profit off animal mistreatment!

Political correctness aside, my friends and I had a ball with these three maltese cross poodle (moodle) pups the other day at this store. The guy at the counter was so nice he let them out to play a bit, and they had fun terrorising all the equipment and toys in the store. And they have heaps of stuff here too - for whatever pet/breed you've got. I don't have a pet of my own, so it was nice of him to let us play with them a little bit. Sadly however, their time with us was to end and they were returned to their places behind the glass at the front of the store.

I have been a fish keeping hobbyist for over 20 years and I am yet to find an aquarium store where…read morethe staff know this much and are more keen in the concept of fish keeping and aquascaping than at Aquadisiac aquarium. Tucked away in trendy Surry Hills, Aquadisiac have been doing this thing called aquariums and aquascaping ( for those not familiar with the lingo, that's those cool planted tanks that look amazing and like a landscape) since before it was cool. Not only do they have a great range of tropical and exotic fish species, they also have a pet accessories store upstairs. Follow the awesome rainforest mural up to find a selection of Super premium dog and cat foods, flea and tick treatments and accessories. Speak to the friendly owner operators Ryan and Scott, and they will be able to to help you out with just about anything pet related, from your sick fish to your interest in Scleropages leichardti. You know what it means, dont you fish nerd? Ryan is a keen topical and aquarium plant fan, and I managed to even pick up a vanilla orchid from him along with some cool fish that you dont often see in regular pet stores, like sparkling gourami and some crystal red shrimp. SO if you're in the market for some living decor, or you're just mad keen, these guys are my #1 recommendation.
