Well, keeping with my recent reviews either being songs or poems or haiku's or some crap like that I have to continue the trend. Got to spend a little time here on a recent trip to Wilmington, and someone that worked inside was talking about Luke Combs so I thought I would attempt a lightly Luke Combs influenced country song about the Music Loft. Great place! One of the better local shops I have found in my travels especially for it's size.
Verse
In the heart of Wilmington town, there's a place of sweet, sweet sound,
A little music loft, where dreams come alive, from the ground to the clouds above,
Got guitars on the walls, and drums upstairs in the halls,
But it's the people there, oh the people there, that make it feel like home, y'all.
(Chorus)
At the Music Loft in Wilmington, where the heart meets the art,
Where the Taylor, Alvarez, and Larivee guitars start,
With electric vibes and bass tones in the air,
And friendly faces, who really care.
(Verse 2)
They've got a pedal selection that'll give you a new direction,
Amped up on good vibes, they've got more than you can count.
It's a small shop, but you'll be amazed, at the music that gets played,
From the strings and the skins, the melody spins, in ways that will astound.
(Chorus)
Oh, the Music Loft in Wilmington, where passion and craft unite,
Where the music floats and the rhythm invites,
With the strum of the strings, and the beat of the hearts,
It's a local treasure, a work of art.
(Bridge)
From a beginner's hope to a seasoned player's dream,
This little loft, oh, it's more than it seems,
With staff so knowledgeable, ready to share,
In this haven of music, you'll lose all your cares.
(Chorus)
Yes, the Music Loft in Wilmington, a gem of the Southern nights,
Where the music dances and the soul ignites,
With the twang of the strings, and the rhythm that bounds,
It's the best music shop, that I have found.
(Outro)
So here's to the Music Loft, up in Wilmington town,
Where the guitars ring, and the drums sound,
To the staff and the tunes, and the dreams that they weave,
It's the heart of music, you best believe. read more
