The beverages are delicious, the gumbos solid, and the entrees are hearty. The paninis seem a bit out of place, but the rest of the menu has plenty to choose from. My relatives love the chili, however my favorite dish is the eggplant Michelle, a seafood and eggplant casserole in a hot ceramic dish. The house bread is fresh and satisfying. The Caesar's salad is missing the sharpness in its sauce and there seems to be another type of cheese subbed in for the Parmesan... other than that the experience is wonderful.

My buddy came into a few tickets for a Music Festival Fund Raiser (?¿) Don't quote me on that but I…read moreswear that's what they told me the event was that evening. Alas, I digress.. The place is constructed of exclusively wood, exposed brick & old sheet metal. It had an immediate charm about it for sure and overall would be a great place for an event. We parked in the large lot on the same plot as the building. My first reaction to the place was how cool and aesthetically pleasing it is - especially for the little neighborhood it's in:/ They've got a relatively large, healthy lawn in the back with the the little bulb lights that everybody likes. There was also a stage out back but it wasn't being used when I was there. From the parking lot you take a few steps up to the floor level of the wrap around porch. As you actually enter the building you enter into the smaller of the two main chambers. There will be a bar to your immediate right and the larger, stage room to our left. Naturally there was a band playing in the larger, banquet style room. As mentioned it had a stage on the far end and also a bar with plenty of open space for seating/dancing/tom-foolery. On a quick side note, the bar had a quite expansive and modestly priced assortment of your typical offerings. I will say the bartender I had knew nothing about the local beer much less helpful wine and spirit suggestions - he was friendly though :) Another quick side note, the caterer, The Habana Club, was EXCELLENT and offered extremely delicious and authentic Cuban fare. DEFINTELY check them up if you're in the area and into that sort of thing. TL;DR Definitely worth using for a private party or trying to get into the next local event they're hosting. Until next time.. CHEERS !!!

That being said a lot of things are made up quite beautifully for weddings. Most good wedding decorators can make a Waffle House look pretty if given enough time and money to do such a thing. So I give a lot of credit to them and not so much the building at The Madison. I've seen thousands of weddings and this place doesn't wow you like some places. There is just too much wood going on here for my tastes. Hardwood floors and wood paneling! The prices are very reasonable here though so that is an important factor when shopping around for a reception hall.

Need a wedding venue in Lafayette? This is a great place…read more Before we get into the review I have a few disclaimers. I have no idea how much this venue costs or how easy they are to work with. I am sure they are lovely. I am writing this review as someone who performed a wedding ceremony here, drank some wine, and ate some food. With that in mind, we are gathered here today to write this review. The Truss Room is named after the large trussed roof. At least that is what I guessed based on the name and the view of the roof. It is one large room that had the venue/reception area on one side and the bar/food area on the other. The wedding had around 150 guests (I am guessing). There was ample food and drinks for everyone. As an officiant, the acoustics were great but I am a loud dude so if you are a whisperer, get you a microphone. The food was very good and people seemed happy. The wine was also good and people seemed to enjoy it. PS. I wonder if Yelp will allow me to add Reverand to my name.

I will say that this jump company came highly recommended; however, the level of unprofessionalism…read morewas at an all time high. I picked this company due to having a Minnie Mouse combo jump which was the theme of my daughter's party. I booked on March 13th and the day before my daughter's party at 4:50 PM they informed me that they did not have that jump and they offered a Mickey Mouse jump. I expressed my frustration but accepted the other available jump due to it being the final hour before the party. The day of the party the company showed up with the Mickey Mouse jump but it was SOAKING WET. The guy tried to dry it with some towels but again 30 minutes before the party I had no other options. I did reach out the following day to inform them I was very disappointed about how things went and was told I would hear something back but heard nothing back from the company. The company left the jump overnight but did not tell me. Overall, I paid $250 plus dollars for a wet jump that I didn't really want. 0/10 would be my review.
