I received an offer on my current vehicle from 2…read moreother places and thought I would give my local dealership the first opportunity, if they would match my current offer. I went through the dealership (on a Saturday) to lay eyes on a Tahoe and a Traverse and see what I liked. The following Monday the salesman reached back out and I told him though initially I had been interested in a Tahoe I didn't care for it. I had found a Traverse I was interested in. He then went on to tell me that he was out sick on Saturday. As mentioned above.. this is my local dealership. He didn't know who I was, but he had not been out sick. He was at a golf tournament... golfing in the same group as my husband. That immediately planted the seed in the back of my head that they were comfortable lying. I didn't ask where he was, he just offered up the fact he wasn't there. That afternoon (a Monday) I went back up to the dealership to meet with the salesman; I took my husband with me the first thing he did was tell us that we couldn't tell anyone he was golfing on Saturday. Then he goes on to tell us that this vehicle is a "demo" vehicle and that one of the owners wives loves it and just comes and takes it and drives it whenever she wants. Ok, cool.. I didn't think much of it. As we are driving down the road, my husband asks how many miles I told him were on the vehicle. While riding in the vehicle I pulled up the listing on my phone and read it to my husband only to discover over a 6,000-mile discrepancy!! When we got back we told him we needed to talk about the vehicle and that there were more miles than we knew about on it. I told him I would follow up. I reached out to him the following day and asked the important questions... Have the services been maintained, as a demo vehicle is there an extended warranty as the miles are so high chevy warranty is about up, I also stated that the price needs to be reflected with the current mileage. I threw numbers out, expecting maybe some sort of negotiations... It's been a week and I've not even gotten a response. So- pay attention to the price and the miles advertised. Also, super sad to say I will not be supporting local for my vehicle purchase, what a bummer!

I discovered HAWK Auto as I was looking for a used hybrid sedan online and found a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid in excellent condition. I called the number listed in the ad and Sean (co-owner) responded to my voicemail within the day. I must admit, at first I was hesitant about this dealership which was simply warranted by appearances of the facility, which are rugged and more shop-oriented. However, the associates and owners at HAWK have a high level of integrity which is shown through their excellent customer service, the quality of vehicles they choose to carry, the extremely high level of product knowledge, and their desire to build relationships with each of their customers. Sean & Mario both were willing to spend the required time with my wife & I to ensure our questions were fully satisfied and that we were comfortable with the transaction. At no time did we feel pressured to make a purchase, nor were we made to feel like we were a burden when our due diligence took longer than might be typical. My experience listed here is most definitely worthy of a high review, but the extra-ordinary aspect of my experience with HAWK comes in to play several months following the purchase of the vehicle. The title of the purchased vehicle was delivered via certified mail the very week I was moving houses and tragically became misplaced. After months of looking through papers & boxes, we deemed the title lost. Unfortunately, the vehicle had not been registered and now we had to get a replacement title. After contacting the DOT, the insurance company and the lien holder, all counsel suggested the dealer would have to request a replacement title. What made this extremely difficult was HAWK purchased the vehicle through an auction house in GA, who purchased the vehicle from a leasing agent in FL. Each transfer in ownership was hand-written on the title, so the last recorded registration was still in FL. In order to get the replacement title, Sean was required to spend a tremendous amount of time researching, tracking down involved parties, and initiating on my behalf the request for replacement title. This process spanned many months, involving multiple hours of work on HAWK's part in order to remedy the issue, and Sean was always quick to respond and very professional with each correspondence. At no time was I ever made to feel like I was a nuisance or inconvenience, which I know this issue must have been a large source of frustration for Sean. I do not know of many used dealers that would have put in the time and effort for a single customer who had already made a purchase. This, to me, goes way above and beyond the typical expectations of a used dealer and Sean has demonstrated his dedication to me as a customer. For that I cannot give him a high enough rating and I will always go to HAWK Auto for all of my used vehicle needs in the future.
