They have a lovely children's section (which is where I spend most of my time these days). There are some fish on display and a little table where the kids can look at the books. Sometimes, they have little activities on Saturdays, such as storytelling, etc. Costa coffee is right next to the children's section which is perfect as we can then go and have a cup of tea. They sell sandwiches, jackets, paninis and daily specials - all the things you get in a decent cafe. It's quite upmarket, and gets quite busy at times so you can ring to reserve a table, and many people do. Despite that, it's not particularly expensive - fairly average prices for a decent coffee shop. There isn't dedicated car parking, but the on-street parking outside is normally reasonably easy to find a space in, and it costs as little as 20p to park in the pay area if you can't get a space on the road opposite which shouldn't really break the bank.
