Fast, Professional Service…read more Working with Manny Dias and his team has been the best home improvement experience we have had in Steamboat Springs. He offered guidance on design ideas. Showed up everyday, on time until the job was completed. Manny took pride in his teams work and came back a week later to review the job. He also took our call while he was on his Christmas vacation which I have not experienced before. Outstanding team and we will be using them again for our renovation projects in Steamboat and Fort Collins.

The first estimate was approximately $10,200 mostly because they said I needed 122 yd.² (1100 sf)…read more All their line item estimates on their bid were extremely high compared to industry standards I am in construction and I felt like this was ridiculously high. I had the girl that did the estimate take out all the fluff and it was still $6650 dollars. It's only two small bedrooms, a hall, and a closet. I measured them and figured the square footage to be 460 ft.² with no waist. I consulted a carpet installer and he agreed with me that I needed approximately 68 yd.². I purchased slightly more expensive carpet from a competitor and hired that carpet installer and I am getting the job done for $3400. I would not trust AFW! Beware, I'm not sure if they are just inexperienced or if they are just looking for huge paychecks from unsuspecting people?? I am not going back there for anything!

I landed a position at SSRC and made the move to CO from the East Coast, found a MR Realty property…read morefor rent on Zillow. Being a ski town, the first/last month rent + 1 mo. security deposit wasn't cheap, so my expectation was high. I arrived and while the unit was mostly clean, I did have to: 1) throw all the curtains in the laundry since they were had a musty smell 2) go through extensive troubleshooting with HOA-included Xfinity since the cable from the lockbox had deteriorated to the point where Internet connectivity wasn't working upon move-in 3) return previous tenant's Xfinity equipment that had been left in-unit 4) clean both the washing machine & dishwasher since there was mildew residue It wasn't that terrible, but perhaps it was the property I was in, the permanent owners that were neighbors could be noisy, but seemed to have issues with me creating noise at times (eg. music), perhaps since no one lived in the unit for time. Upon move-out, I was instructed to have the place professionally cleaned, MR Realty had a preference for a cleaner. I communicated my move-out timeline, along with a different preference for a cleaner. Since I resided in-unit until the end of my lease, I stayed 1x day after my cleaners had completed their work. As a result, I had some remaining items in the fridge and in-unit, but nothing that couldn't have been removed easily. In the end, MR Realty took $200 from my security deposit, and hired their cleaner for this minor work after I paid my own cleaners $160 a few days before. I did regularly spot & deep clean the unit, along with a deep cleaning prior to my move-out cleaning. A few weeks prior to move-out, there was also construction above my unit and in the bathroom, the ceiling was damaged and it took several visits from their handyman to repair, over a 2-week period. Perhaps that is ski town renting for you.....
