To make matters worse, he then insisted that we share the cost of his mistake. Shocking lack of professionalism. We listed with Sotheby's because of their reputation. Reputations are built with diligence over the long haul, but they're lost in a heartbeat. If Doug Labor has owned up to his mistake and paid for the monetary loss he caused us, I wouldn't have a complaint. But he didn't. Stay away.

We are so very upset…read moreabout the avoidable swamp cooler flood that had a two hour response (with the water flowing and Coldwell asking if it was simply raining outside), then having to find another place for our tenants to live while we rebuilt their apartment. The other tenants in different units who claimed that reaction time was slow to issues or questions in all ten of our units, and the use of substandard contractors. We have spent thousands in the last month after our 8 months of false freedom re-doing all of the work that they had done. When I told our tenants that we were back to manage they said, "Thank God that is over." Still trying to decide whether or not to take them to court over the tens of thousands that we have had to spend on the avoidable flood. Bad repair job caused the flood, ridiculous respond time. Had to cancel our vacation and deal with this mess, and had to work on other potential messes: Found a tenant with a broken stove, one reported two weeks earlier about a leaking swamp cooler (different one). Found out a tenant was sneaking a dog, they had received a fine but did not get rid of the dog. The tenants did not want to report anything that was wrong because they figured no one cared. The month from hell. Not over yet. In about a month we will have everything fixed. Angry? Yes. And very disappointed.
