They had a great rate for the move and were willing to work with us on times and dates for the move. Jerry A. McCoy

JEERS to Mr Movit (Richard), a moving company in Texarkana…read more My 71 year old sister, who is raising 2 handicapped boys, hired him to move her from the Sugarhill area in Texarkana AR to the Liberty Eylau area in Texarkana TX, a distance of of approximately 18 miles. Richard did a walk-thru of her home and quoted her $2,700 to move her. She had 2 days in which to get moved. My sister had to rent a Uhaul truck for this "moving company" to use to move her. On the first day he was to arrive at her old house at 8:00. He finally arrived around 11:00. Upon entering the house he asked her if frig, washer and dryer were to go. She said yes and he told her it would cost her an additional $250 to move them, which she paid. He made 2 trips and on the second trip to new house he tells her he is finished for the day, tells her he has locked the Uhaul and leaves. He could have made 2 more trips before dusk. On the 2nd day my older sister and I go over with my trailer to help move riding lawnmower. We were told movers to be there at 8. We get there at 9 and no movers. We walked around to the back of the Uhaul and it was not locked. I raised the door and her furniture and 4 TVs were still inside, thankgoodness. My sister had called Richard several times but he did not answer and only got voice mail. After waiting for an hour and a half and still no mover, I finally called thinking he would think I was a new client and answer. We'll guess what, he answered. He says he is on his way. Finally a little after 11:00 he shows up. He starts giving excuses. Anyway they unload the truck from the trip the day before and then head to the old house. They make 2 trips and on the second trip after unloading he tells my sister he is through. There is still a load of boxed items, pictures and a few pieces of furnitutre. He placed my 71 year old sister in an extreme bind as she was to be out of the house that day. Makes me wonder where he gets all his good reviews on his website. Probably friends. This guy, Richard, was extremely unprofessional. I have never heard of a moving company that does not have a vehicle for moving, much less have the client pay for the vehicle to move themselves. All in all she ended up paying him $3650 to move her 18 miles.
