Worst of the worst - hands down. Read the other reviews that are one star and they all ring true. Extremely unprofessional company. I had to spend more time figuring out the invoicing then the owner did!! She would send random invoices over and over again and couldnt explain what they were for. I had to spend hours matching up invoice to payments only to realize I had overpaid by thousands of dollars. The cleaning was subpar, the company never worried about condition of maintenance or landscaping, I could go on all day..... AVOID AVOID AVOID if you are looking for a cleaning service in the Blue Ridge area. RESPONSE TO OWNER: We were with Mountain Clean Team for not even 7 months (not over 2 years!!) with our first cleaning being in Jan 2023 and we dont owe a cent!!! They are terrible. I had the same issues as in previous Yelp reviews. Martha Prince was a very pleasant person to speak with, however she didn't always follow-up as promised (things like the contact info for their landscaper, the link for their scheduling app, and even the quote she initially gave went up $100 at one point.) I overlooked those little issues and still gave her company a chance. Big mistake! The two ladies who came to clean my home didn't wipe the countertops or the cabinet knobs/handles. My guest loaded and ran the dishwasher, and all those pots, pans, dishes, and silverware were left in there. The cleaners put used quilts back on the beds despite me providing a second clean set for both bedrooms. They didn't clean the refrigerator shelves, but walked out with the brand new full-sized bottles of ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise that I provide for my guests. (I provided a cleaning/stocking checklist that specifically stated to ensure those items were stocked in the refrigerator in addition to the need to clean all bedding between guests.) They even rehung a towel that looked clean but actually had lotion on it. When I sent photos to Martha, she thought she was texting someone else and wrote "she's complaining about two spots and a wrinkle." Then she told me to find another cleaning company. That's how much she cares. They never returned my linens despite her saying they would drop them off, and then they had the nerve to send me an invoice. I contracted The MountainClean Team after researching online & reading the positive reviews. We spoke on the phone many times with the owner, Martha Prince & were pleased with the services outline over the phone & later confirmed by email. We opted to have the linen service included, so they were to provide all of the sheets & towels swapping them out each clean & laundering them offsite. Our cabin was stocked with our personal sheets & towels as well as several extra sets of sheets prior to us renting it out for the first time. We requested that Martha remove all of our personal sheets & towels & secure them in our owner's closet. At that time the cleaning techs were to make the beds & distribute the towels supplied by The MountainClean Team per our agreement. Martha acknowledged via email that this was no problem & requested the owners closet code to complete the request. We have cameras around the exterior perimeter of the cabin so we can see who/what is coming & going. The cleaning techs showed up just prior to guest check-in & only set up paper products (soap, shampoo, etc.). They brought no linens or towels with them & did not remove ours. We contacted Martha to explain this & she apologized & stated that they would get them washed & returned after the first guest & not to worry. So, we did just that, we let it go & trusted Martha. In the meantime, our second set of guests arrived to a green & cloudy hot tub that was crystal blue when we left just prior to the first guests. Martha quickly rectified the situation & had her team out first thing the next morning, but this never should have happened to begin with. On July 30th we arrived at our cabin to stay for the week. We did not notify Martha, as we wanted to see how the property was after a month of renting it out & being cleaned by The MountainClean Team. We arrived to several issues that did not align with what was presented to us verbally over the phone or via the emails Martha sent to us. Some of the problems were as follows: 1) Mismatched sheets & towels (black pillow case with a purple fitted sheet & no top sheet, flat sheet being use instead of fitted sheet & it being too small to stay in place, not a single bed had anything coordinating). We were told they attempt to match the color scheme & décor of the cabin & have nice bamboo sheet sets. 2) Mismatched towels (green, brown, white, purple, etc.), no differentiation between bath & spa towels, & several towels with bleach stains all over them. 3) Grill that was brand new as of July 1st was filthy with the grease trap nearly over flowing. 4) Patio fireplace was full of peanut shells, potato chips, & ash. 5) Trash on the balcony. 6) Beer bottles in the yard. 7) Fire pit in the yard was full of burned wood. 8) Patios had sand & debris on the concrete & rugs (not being swept, vacuumed or blown off). 9) Cobwebs inside. 10) Food & debris at the toe kick of the kitchen cabinets. On top of these issues all of our personal sheets & towels were missing. We contacted Martha & chatted about our concerns. She stated that she would let her cleaning techs know & would get our linens to us that following Saturday, August 6th. The morning of the 6th we received an email from Martha stating that she was providing us her two week's notice of termination of services. We informed her that she did not need to return to the property to clean any further & that all we needed were our linens & towels. After communicating back & forth & providing a detailed inventory list of what she should have of ours, she indicated that she did not have everything that I outlined. She went on to state that she could not be held accountable for things that were never in her possession, yet I have email documentation where they were supposed to be in her custody, & further her cleaning techs were to notify us if anything was missing so if the claim is that she never had our personal linens & towels in her possession then why was this not reported that they were missing. Once I provided written documentation of Martha agreeing to remove our linens & towels & place them in our owner's closet, she stopped communicating with me. I had quality linens & towels of my own & had to replace everything for six beds & three bathrooms of which sleeps ten people. This was an unnecessary monetary loss for us. Meanwhile The MountainClean Team was paid in full for all of the services rendered. Martha never returned our linens & towels, never offered any sort of compensation & ghosted us. I have all of our emails & text messages to document & back up every commitment of service made as well as pictures & videos of the interior which show our items as well as the coming & goings of the cleaning techs on camera. Mistakes were made, which I can accept, we are all human, but when you own a business, you must be held accountable & should make things right. We have a short term vacation rental home in Blue Ridge.  When I first interviewed MountainTeam in March, 2020, the owner told me the standards she set for the cleaning team:  she said all were bonded and insured; after each team cleaned a short term rental, a second team followed up to make sure everything had been done to the highest standards; they would supply all cleaning supplies and paper products; owner supplied linens and towels were laundered offsite and the same owner linens were returned to the rental home for use; floors were mopped, furniture dusted, beds changed, etc.   In November, 2020, I terminated my business relationship with MountainTeam due to several guest complaints and low ratings about poor cleaning standards (I've always had 5 star ratings until dealing with this group) :  thick dust on baseboards, fans, window sills; floors with toenail clippings on them; grimy kitchen floors; towels and sheets left wet in the washing machine; no initial supply of dishsoap, paper towels, etc.  Guests sent photo evidence of these things and I reported to the owner who assured me it would never happen again.  But it did.  So in a nutshell, this company promises a lot and delivers an inferior service.  Don't hire them. read more

Hired Martha to clean, she was accompanied with a man, they were at home for a few hours, charged $400.00 and my home was filthy when I arrived. Tried to contact her and she would NOT call me back?! Do NOT hire this company, they are terrible workers!!!!!!!!! read more

Used service for approximately 6 months for biweekly cleaning of personal cabin. Started off great, but rapidly declined. Cleaning was half done. Mopped around kitchen island stools and dining chairs without moving. Left splatters when mopping. When dusting, did not move nick-nacks. Did not clean mirrors over bathroom vanities. Owner was contacted multiple times about the poor quality of work and she made excuses always promising to do better next time. read more

Martha's crew cleaned all the windows of our log home, including the very large and high picture view windows, and they did an outstanding job. In fact, in the 17 years that we have owned this home and hired window cleaners, we have never had a better and more thorough job. The crew came a few weeks later to clean our home after a large group, and once again, they did an outstanding job. They got into corners, behind furniture, moved items to dust, even washed bath rugs, and then folded the towels very attractively, as you would find in a hotel. They are reliable, thorough, and reasonably priced. You can't ask more than that! Ia friend referred me to them, and I am so happy he did! read more
