First, we were on a bit of a time crunch and had a relatively small budget and thankfully found Hippo Factory Studio who had availability for our party and was relatively reasonably priced - especially in comparison to other venues our search resulted in. The gentlemen at Hippo Factory Studio were accommodating in terms of setting up a visit to look at the space and were so kind and patient as we asked questions leading up to the event. When our entire committee was unable to make the original appointment to visit the space, Hippo Factory Studio allowed us to come by again - prior to our event - to ensure our set up, etc. Greatly appreciated. We were able to set up our own decorations, bring in our own catering (tacos), provide our own alcohol, have our own DJ, etc. The retirement party had about 100 guests in total and the space was adequately sized for sure. Overall, set up was a breeze because the facility has a ladder and garbages, etc. We set up a bunch of tables outside for guests to eat their tacos at and cocktail tables inside to hang out/socialize at. The bar area was actually self-serve but worked out well. DJ was great and acoustics were good. Clean up was so easy because there are dumpsters right on site. It was also nice to have the kitchen space at the venue, especially to keep extra ice frozen and/or extra limes cold! Some may find parking to be a challenge but we reserved spaces in the elementary school across the street and the rest of our guests readily found street parking. I'd recommend Hippo Factory Studios if you're looking for an event space!

Overall, didn't like our visit.
