Anyone that reads my reviews you know I rarely give a five star to anyone. I have to say Mold Doctors get a five star review and this is why... I'm getting ready to sell this particular house. After the inspection water and mold was detected in one room which was not obvious to us and could not be seen by the naked eye. Called Mold Doctors, I had the pleasure of speaking with Robert. New to the island and to Mold Doctor. He was very helpful and understood our urgency to get someone out to look and to fix the problem. They met me the next day at the house. Quickly we came up with a plan and they were there the next day to start the work and finish up the following day. From start to finish the entire team were very professional, respected our home and were very thorough from the setup for fumigation to the clean up afterwards. So respectful that when they accidentally made a spot on my concrete driveway they made ever effort to clean it up which they did. They could have just let it but they didn't because they knew it was not the right thing to do. They left my property the same if not better. I sincerely appreciate that kind of attention to detail. I talked to Bill with an urgent check for mold- they were able to come out within 2 hours and do a very thorough reading in the room of all walls/windows, etc. But no mold was found- but Dave didn't give up- we kept asking more questions and finally we found it in the AC unit!!! Growing all over!!! They have a product called "Shock Wave" which will clean out the AC unit and can even do an air quality test if I need. They were so nice, so quick and so HONEST. I can't tell you how appreciative we are for the mold doctor team. We discovered water coming up through our floor along with finding little mold in the corner of a wall. My wife got ahold of Bill (owner) explained our problem, another issue, we had guests arriving in seventeen days. Bill came right over, assessed the problem and immediately called his team members. I picked up a sample of their botanical disinfectant called BENEFECT at the home show at the Sheraton in February. I sprayed and wiped down three out of at least 100 moldy cedar boards in my living room. Then Covid happened and I forgot all about it. In August, after the rainiest 6 months I've ever experienced, I was noticing more white mold blooming all over the cedar ceiling and walls. I checked the place I had cleaned in February. We live on the US mainland, but we have relatives on the Big Island. We visit our 'Ohana (family) at least 3 months every year. In December 2020, we decided to buy a condominium on the island as a second home. Investors were gobbling up condominiums sight unseen. Our realtor, a family member, showed us a top floor condo in Waikoloa. The listing realtor indicated that there was a leak coming from the master bathroom going to the 2nd floor below.
