There were a few uncertain technical issues when installation began - Mark discussed with me and came up with an alternate solution (better than what I'd originally proposed) and was able to adjust the quote and bring in the additional equipment needed the next day. It was a pretty stress-free installation - Mark did everything and left hardly a trace - Very clean, neat, and tidy work. The CCTV app for viewing works really well, and I'm able to share viewing permissions with others in the building, but choose exactly what permissions they get (for example, live view only of only those cameras I select).

      DO NOT GO TO GADGET SOLUTION IN BRENTWOOD, ESSEX…read more I took my Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max to Gadget Solution because it suddenly wouldn't turn on and only showed the charging cable symbol with a low battery warning. I've had this phone for nearly four years with no issues before this happened. They told me my charging port was damaged and needed fixing. I left my phone with them for five hours, trusting they'd fix it properly. Later, they said they needed to replace the screen too something I never agreed to. They changed the screen without my permission and charged me £60, claiming the phone was fixed. Two weeks later, my phone started feeling heavier, and I noticed the battery was loose inside. My iPhone showed a warning that a non-genuine battery was installed. That's when I realised they had removed my original Apple battery and replaced it with a fake one again, without my permission. When I asked for my original battery back, they said they threw it away. That's not only dishonest, it's theft. A staff member named Jay was rude and tried to blame me and my phone for the problems. I had the phone for four years with no issues until it wouldn't turn on. They were supposed to fix it, but they replaced parts unnecessarily, damaged my phone further, and left me with a worse device. I made three visits in total. On the last visit, I arrived at 1pm and was told to come back at 6pm. I called at 5:30pm and they promised to call me back but never did. When I called again, they admitted they couldn't fix the phone. This was a complete waste of my time. I missed multiple buses because I trusted them. Buses in my area come only every two hours. I had to walk home twice a one-hour walk each way because of their incompetence and dishonesty. To make matters worse, their solution for damaging my phone was to offer me a discount if I bought a new iPhone from their store. How ridiculous is that I paid them to fix my phone, and because they messed it up, they think the answer is to try to sell me a new phone. That's not fixing the problem that's taking advantage of a customer. I wasted money on a temporary phone just to get by because they failed me so badly. I trusted them, and they lied, replaced genuine Apple parts with fake ones, and left me with a broken phone that still doesn't work. If you want a proper repair, go to an official Apple Store or authorised service provider. They will diagnose your phone properly, ask your permission before making changes, and treat your device with care. Do not trust Gadget Solution. Bad service, rude staff, dishonest practices, fake parts, and zero accountability.

So I had the task of seeing if the phone could be rescued, after the failure of leaving it in a bag of rice!! I'm working on the assumption that this is their head office, having used the phone box based one they have in Greenwich. I had made my appointment on line and read the small print which states phones dropped into water cannot always be repaired. Once in the shop the young lady who greeted me looked at the phone and showed me where the screen had been damaged by its dip. She told me that they would need the phone for 48hours, and according to the website they would do it in 3hours!! Never mind perhaps they were just busy !! Anyway I left the phone and true to their word I was contacted inside of 24 hours and told that the phone was beyond repair. They were polite and professional throughout and showed a good level of knowledge and based on the successful visit to their phone box office I would use them again.

They said half an hour, it took half an hour. They said £59, it cost £59. No hidden charges or any messing about as one might expect if you took it to a cheap box on the side of a corner shop. The screen repair also comes with a warranty so if it fails I can take it back and get it replaced for free. My only complaint is that the home button was pushed in too far and was clicking oddly when I used it, so had to take it back two minutes after leaving the shop, but again, this issue was fixed promptly. Great service, and worth the money.

      Believe the "ALL CAPS" review below…read more At first I was skeptical (how great can a iphone repair place really be, right?) but after my experience with FixmyiPhone, I'm feeling pretty ALL CAPS about my life right now. I get it BM, I get it now. Rewind: Last week I was walking and doing something on my phone (not the smartest) when a whip-fast teenager in a hoodie side swiped me, attempting to snatch my phone. Lucky me! He didn't steal it. Not lucky me! It smashed to the pavement and the screen to bits. Booooo. I made do for about a week because getting your smashed iphone screen repaired is not high on the list of fun things to be doing. I didn't even really know where to start. I tried making a few appointments and looked into some shady cornershop/drycleaner/keymakers -- but I got discouraged (or ignored) and thus viewed my virtual life through splintered glass for about 1.5 weeks. Finally, I'd had enough and I made a call to Fixmyiphone this morning after consulting Yelp and vowing to get this damn thing fixed. Hence the ALL CAPS review. OK, fine, let's do this. The guy that answered was really helpful (asked about the details of my phone), very friendly, and I made an appointment for later in the day to visit. You can also just pop in. I showed up at said time, handed over my busted piece, and about 8 minutes later walked out with a good-as-new iphone. They'd given me the wifi password and I was just sinking in to some email and BAM, already fixed! My life is so much clearer now! The two guys working were really cool, and very polite and helpful. Not really what you are expecting at phone shop, to be quite honest...so it was a really pleasant surprise. Legit dudes with great customer service. Repaired for about £99. Logistics: This shop is not plainly visible from the street. Go to the address (big teal "10" on the glass door), enter door, and either speak to security guy or just go up the short stairs and to the right and you'll find it. Then you'll be in business. My experience was so easy I'm sort of kicking myself for waiting so long, and also half wishing I have this issue again so I can go back. Weird? Yes, weird. Ok, I don't want to smash my screen but if you are reading this you probably have a biffed one, so you should get yourself over to these guys and get on with your life. Action items for me: 1. First off, getting here is a bit complicated as there isn't a sign for the business at the entrance. Look for the teal number 10 and then ask the security guard. The phone store is quite a nice little shop with some comfy chairs for while you wait. Though you wont be waiting long! I was really very shocked when they said that it would only take 15 minutes. I've had phones repaired before and they normally tell you to come back later or wait for an hour. Nope, not here. The service was speedy and quick and of high standard. To get the screen replaced on an iPhone it cost 109GBP, which isn't too bad. It also comes with a two year warranty. Though I don't think that this warranty includes if you break the screen yourself, but does include if something else happens like the screen pops off. This is a great place and I would definitely recommend that everyone use them. Gone are the days of shading backstreet phone repair shops.
