Since I have been back in the Uk for my visit I have been 4 times to this store. The first time I was just browsing for baby clothes and toys, second and forth time it was to use the baby change facility and third time was for a makeover at the Benefit counter. On the second visit I went to the baby changing facility as the store I had planned to visit had suffered a flood in their room. Of course the toilets, baby change facility and childrens clothes and toys are all on the top floor, this has to be the main thing which would tip them to a 4.5 star review instead of 5 given that the lift/elevator is quite slow and there is no way you can get up that far with the use of stairs! The baby changing facilities are great, smelly bin/trash can aside of course (but that is a given wherever there are changing facilities). In this one there is a toilet and sink so you can go relieve yourself at the same time and if you have toddlers/small children there are mini ones for them too in there! There is a great selection of baby and childrens clothes available here, ladies clothing, mens clothing, accessories, homeware and of course a café! Debenhams are quite possibly the best of department stores in regards to their selection and availability within towns. Not many towns are without a Debenhams and that is one of the reasons why when we got married almost 5 years ago we had a wedding list with them. In addition to the registry availability you will find there is a personal shopper service available. I can spend hours in this store, or would if my little lady would let me! She is a shopper in training!

Claries is a high street accessory shop stocking earrings, watches, hair accessories, hats scarves,…read moremake up etc. They also provide ear piercing. Every time I go in there I must confess I feel old. I think most of their products marketed at teenage girls. It doesn't prevent me however from looking and I've found items useful for fancy dress, watches and very useful hair clips. They have a Goth section as well as all the girlie accessories as well. Staff are always helpful and smiling and have been quick to respond to my requests. Great place to get gifts for the young girls in your life!

I found that when I was pregnant this was a very useful place to buy maternity clothes. Their maternity section is stocked pretty well and I could always seem to find a simple top to go with most things for my fast growing belly. The staff, in my experience have been polite and chatty. Dressing rooms are spacious, lighting good, but there's always a queue on weekends. Beautiful accessories but the clothing can be hit and miss for my style.

I started buying cufflinks here for my husband, as he wears them for work and they have a massive selection. I also buy for two of my brothers-in-law toiletries or accessories such as bow ties or funny socks. For the others I buy sport related presents, as one is a rugby fan and the other runs a school football team. I have been coming here for the past 3 years and they always have something new. My father-in-law is impossible to buy for and he is quite picky, but with the staff's help I acquired a really nice wallet and this year he will get a state of art shaving set. I do not remember when we got somebody a bottle of wine or a sweater recently as there is no longer any need for these boring things. Even when we go to visit our extended family we get the uncles some DIY gadgets from them, and 2 years ago I even bought a weather station for my sister! Great stuff, I hope they will keep it up!
