A decent selection of books, biased towards cloth diapering, positive discipline, co-sleeping, attachment parenting philosophies. The true glory of this place is the services. Parent-child classes, massage, prenatal classes. This is a great community networking resource for new parents. When my son was born 6 years ago, they also rented diaper kits. We LOVED this. Take home a kit with 7 or 8 types of cloth diapers. Try them all out before deciding which to invest in. Not sure if they still offer this service but if they do, there is no reason not to look into it!

She literally changed my life. She is exceptionally smart and is able to handle any number of difficult questions or topics. She is empathetic and supportive. She has a seemingly impossible perfect balance of providing support while also offering appropriate insights to help you make the best informed choices for you and your baby. She offered practical, relevant sound information but ultimately I knew the choices and decisions were mine to make. She was invaluable during the labour and helped me make some very important decisions with care, compassion and patience. She is inclusive of partners and goes so far above and beyond the actual birth process it's astounding. I felt safe and supported by Jill through the entire process. I never felt judged. Jill was on our team! One of my favourite things in the world is to watch someone do something they love and that they were born to do. Jill's midwifery care is exactly that. The midwifery clinic I was previously with for the first pregnancy , told me I could no longer work with them and did not give a reason. Valley medical midwives said they would not work with me because I am overweight and of advanced maternal age. The other midwives clinics in the area said they were full for my due date. Swedish midwives did not take my insurance. When I went to the obgyn, she made me feel like I was wasting her time and I felt rushed during a very tender time. I felt discouraged and decided to widen how far I was willing to travel for care. I reached out to Wellspring Midwifery, and they promptly set up a zoom call where I asked tons of questions, we discussed our experience and they shared info about their practice. I felt so relieved to find them during such a hard time, filled with fear and anxiety. Our first appointment was over an hour and Lizz made me feel so comfortable and heard. It was amazing, they even did Saturday appointments so we didn't have to miss work and the traffic was much better. I met Elliot a few appointments later and she was equally awesome to Lizz! Throughout the process, I had monthly appointments and additionally was able to call for questions or write them in the online portal and they would promptly respond. Later in my pregnancy, we made the informed decision that we would prefer to transfer my care to a hospital so that I could access an epidural during labor and knowing which hospital we were going to. Lizz and Elliot were supportive of this decision and helped with the transition of paperwork. They allowed me to stay on for postpartum care. I even called them during my labor when I was trying to make a decision. It was awesome to have the support of their postpartum care because my obgyn only scheduled me for 1 appointment at 8 weeks postpartum. Lizz and La-Kiesha (their midwifery student who joined many of my appointments) came into my home 2 days after my baby was born and did a visit where we talked about the baby, my husband and myself and did some checks on the baby and me. They also gave me breastfeeding support. I had multiple follow ups in office during the first 6 weeks postpartum. It was so helpful to get regular support throughout that period of time. I am forever grateful for my experience with Wellspring Midwifery and I highly recommend them for your prenatal and postpartum care.

You're not just "another patient" - this is a safe space to build a relationship with people that will be present for one of the most vulnerable and sacred experiences of your life. They were caring, supportive, and helpful throughout, making sure my husband and I both felt heard and cared for. During the birth--which didn't go exactly as planned--they were capable, encouraging, and made me feel safe in spite of pain and fear. After the baby was born, we struggled for her to gain weight. Eloisa was there for us 100%, answering texts at all hours, lending us baby scales, and connecting us with specialists. She even helped us source safe donor breast milk. Like the other reviewer said, they are extremely professional - always on time for appointments and they're good at communicating by text, phone, and email. At first I thought 3 midwives would be too many people but they were all essential to the process. They are on top of the medical side of things, they were able to coach me through some complications, administer an IV and stitches. They were so encouraging and helpful during the birth, stayed with me for hours afterwards to make sure we were both doing great, and even did a load of laundry! I woke up to clean clothes the next day : ) I can't recommend these ladies enough. Each of them are so compassionate and dedicated to their art. Midwives will hold your hand and walk you from hell to heaven. Such a great experience!
