This by-far was the worst experience I have ever had with a bartending service. I was overwhelmed…read morewith disappointment and disgust by the disorganization, unpreparedness, unprofessionalism, condescending and disrespect from the company.
I hired Myx Nashville to be apart of an event I hosted for my birthday, and the delivery of the vision and services paid for, were not rendered. I was quoted $400 for a four-hour mobile bartending service that provides liquor, a bartender, two specialty drinks, a specialty shot, and a mobile bar (because that's the entire point of a mobile bartending service).
The bartender showed up with no bar, no table, open containers of liquor, and no ingredients for a specialty drink or a shot. So, I reached out to the owner, with whom I booked, extremely confused about why there was no bar, no pre-prepared specialty menu items, or no table. I called a total of 15 times with no answer and I then finally got a text telling me that he can create a makeshift bar with the space given(this was not discussed with me prior, nor what I paid for). She finally called me when the final payment was being discussed.
The owner was extremely unprofessional, rude, condescending and had no qualms about how I felt about the experience I received since her company arrived with none of the items we discussed. The conversation was about five minutes long and no apologies were given, in fact, I was told " I was killing my vibe, ruining my birthday, wasting her time, and because she had been doing this for 15 years, she made the decision not to bring the bar and create a makeshift one." She also stated, "She could pack up and leave and refund me, with my event starting in 25 minutes." I cannot even begin to understand why verbiage of this nature was even used during a business transaction, it was very tasteless. After about 20 minutes of deliberation, I could not bring myself to spend money with someone who was so rude, unprepared, and disrespectful.
I expected better communication, which I considered the bare minimum. It was not communicated to me that I was not booked for the mobile bar, unopened liquor, prepared specialty drinks (per my request and my price paid or the flyer). I had a total of 10 people to attend this event and I am not sure why this was so hard to organize and deliver. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The only pleasant part of my experience was receiving my refund. I wish I could give no stars.
