It's located in a very cute building which is around 400 years old. The atmosphere is quite unique owing to the subtle lighting and tasteful decor. The food is the star of the show however. It is simply delightful, oh yes it issss. Combining modern British cuisine with a tasteful hint of traditional Mediterranean influences, the menu doth not disappoint!!! I was recommended their signature dishes as I am sure you will when you visit. A few of these include best End of Holker Hall Lamb or the Monkfish Roast. mmmmmmm I'm hungry!! the head chef is a fella called Craig Lawson who apparently is a famous chef, I'm not clued up on these things as I don't really watch TV much...but the food is delicious... We took my son, daughter-in-law and their two little girls there as the eldest was two yesterday and loves cars, bikes, lorries...and 'planes. This is the perfect place for our family, I just wish it were nearer! The Birthday Girl loved the 'planes flying in every few minutes and the play area, especially the bouncy castle. She also loved being made a fuss of when the staff brought her a bowl of ice-cream with two candles in! (Totally their idea). My wife and I are members of CAMRA and were really impressed by the real ales and the barman's knowledge of them - unfortunately, I can't find the pub on the official CAMRA beer scoring site - quite an omission! There was a particularly nice Robinson's stout, described as "with a hint of vanilla", which had more than a hint of liquorice. The food really is as good as others have said; this is possibly the only time I have ever ordered a "burger" when out and I struggled to eat so much meat in one go! All-in-all, a wonderful afternoon out and the children didn't want to leave!

The menu isn't that comprehensive, but focuses on key dishes such as burgers, nachos, Cuban pork sandwiches, and chicken wings. I ordered a chicken, guac and bacon burger which was larger than expected; coupled with ox cheek mac & cheese and I was totally stuffed afterwards. Behind the bar they have five choices of keg beers, with the likes of BrewDog and Magic Rock (it's always good to get those on tap). It's schooners here though, so no pints unfortunately. On first impressions it's a solid, well thought out family-friendly diner - may they beckon in Sale's long overdue restaurant renaissance!

I think they were possibly a little under staffed as getting served at the bar took an age but I can't deny that the food and drink were both perfect. I opted for a mushroom and pesto stone baked pizza, which had a crisp base and a perfectly crunchy crust. The sauce was very flavoursome and the toppings plentiful. I enjoyed every mouthful. To drink I had not one, but two Mai Thai cocktails (afterall it was Friday), which were both mixed to perfection, with a handful of ice, the sweetness of pineapple juice and the warmth of plenty of rum. To add insult to injury, they did not take it off the bill (I didn't want to fight, but really). I would try another option next time at the airport.
