The whole experience was not. This was a refreshing experience. They have been open for a short time and this was my first opportunity to stop in. The store was clean, employees were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. I walked in around lunchtime and was directed to the back of the store where the line started for ordering. They have a big menu board which I read first to determine what to get. The Cubano sounded good so I decided to give it a try. There were two choices for bread where they started the sandwich and put it in the oven. I was directed to the next station for all the toppings. I had a moment and chatted with the two employees that were there, and the one at the register asked what I got and if I would be having a drink or anything else. I told them I would take a meal which consisted of the sandwich, a drink and chips. On my sandwich came out they asked how I wanted it and directed me to assign that showed all the topics available. I opted for mustard and added hot peppers. I was very impressed with the taste of the sandwich and the hot peppers added a nice touch that you don't normally get on a Cuban. I will definitely be trying this one again in the future. They have several tables to dine at and there are accessible spaces out front. They have a drink station where you would get your own drink. If you're looking for a good hot sandwich, this is a great choice to have in this shopping area.

4 Corners Tavern - ChampionsGate…read more We hadn't been to 4 Corners Tavern in years. Located in the ChampionsGate shopping area, a friend recently raved about the food, so we decided it was time to give it another try. Our server, Nick, was friendly, personable, and helped us with our menu selections. I was excited to see the lunch special was a Chopped Cheese sandwich. Being from New York, I've really missed a good chopped cheese and have been craving one for quite some time. The sandwich came with a choice of side, and I chose the French fries. While it was a decent sandwich, it just wasn't an authentic New York chopped cheese. The lettuce wasn't chopped but simply placed on top, and it was missing the chopped tomatoes and onions that help make the sandwich so special. It was served on a hoagie roll, but the it wasn't smashed together the way I'm used to seeing in New York. My husband ordered the Brisket Dipper, which also came with a choice of side. He selected the soup of the day, a beef and rice soup. The sandwich was served with an au jus dipping sauce and was good, but not memorable. In fact, we both agreed the brisket at our local Ovation Bistro & Bar is much more flavorful. The soup arrived as essentially a cup of shredded beef in broth, and the rice had accidentally been left out. The server quickly brought it over afterwards. When I spotted bread pudding on the dessert menu, I couldn't resist ordering one of my all-time favorite desserts. Unfortunately, it was another disappointment. The bread pudding was very dense, covered with large dollops of whipped topping, and didn't taste particularly fresh. Overall, while the service was friendly and attentive, the food simply didn't live up to the recommendation we had received. With more than a dozen restaurants nearby offering excellent dining options, this isn't one we'd return to. If you're dining in the ChampionsGate area, I'd recommend spending your money at one of the many better choices nearby.

He chatted with me, made sure I was taken care of, and added such a personal touch to the whole experience--something you don't get often anymore. The food is served in the cutest wooden picnic baskets, which sets the tone right away. I ordered the soup, side salad, and sandwich combo, and everything was fresh and comforting. The butternut squash soup was rich and creamy with pumpkin seeds on top, the chicken and brie wrap was pressed perfectly, and the pasta salad tasted garden-fresh with a crisp bite of veggies. What I love most is the atmosphere. You can choose to dine on their beautiful shaded porch--full of old Florida charm--or head inside to their cozy dining room if you want to escape the sun. Both spaces have that relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger. The Back Porch is a gem: great food, thoughtful presentation, and hospitality that truly stands out. If you're near Lake Alfred, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

Great service, check (Ted & Liz were AWESOME). Thinking about becoming a regular at 1845 Tap House. For food, they have a limited menu, and also food trucks. I stumbled into 1845 Tap House on a Friday night after a long day at work without expectations. This is the part where I say, "and then I fell in love." They have a great selection of liquor and craft beer on draft. And they even have food. And did I mention the drinks are super reasonable. Wanted to set a tent up outside and stay, but I am sure that is not allowed. There was a guy on guitar crooning. Oh, and their house beers are awesome. The BEER: 1845 Shape Shifring Lizard IPA 6.3% ABV... OMG, this IPA is slightly juicy and well balanced. 1845 We Wants the Red Head red ale 5% ABV... this red ale is an all day Irish Red. Delicious. 1845 Drop the Puck imperial hazy IPA 9.8% ABV... so very good, juicy and sneaky, because 2 or 3 of these and you will be Ubering home. 1845 Secret Stash imperial Stout 10% ABV... like coffee, semi sweet dark chocolate and a hint of peanut butter. This is a better version of Sweet Baby Jesus, if you are familiar. FIRE!!!! And I found out why the draft here is exceptional. Their brewer is Florida Ave out of Tampa. So if you are in Davenport and looking for a good time, definitely stop at 1845 Tap House.
