You can see all of that, but it is still mostly out of sight. Regardless, this throwback 20th Century hotel is clean, comfy and charming, and exactly what we came to the beach for. Smallish room; comfortable king bed, hot water, simple brekkie, happy hour afternoon and friendly natives. Even pool and parking lot. As a first timer to Rehoboth Beach, Beach View offered a great location half block from the boardwalk and many seaside attractions and nosheries. Must say that dusk and sunset are beautiful from the sand, as pastel colors mark the horizon with pinks, oranges and blues. Always a fan of the Jersey Shore (LBI), gotta say that Rehoboth is its equal, if not superior to that standard. Will return and use Beach View Hotel as our base of operations.

Hear me out with this review:…read more I have never stayed in a Bed & Breakfast house before and when I was initially trying to book somewhere to stay in Rehoboth Beach this was the first place suggested. The house contains rooms with private bathrooms and rooms on a floor with shared bathrooms. I was very hesitant to book at first when I read that I would have to "share" a bathroom. We just returned home after a 4 night stay here and we were more than satisfied! Tom, the house owner, is super kind, personable and hospitable. His other workers (Rayvn and Chris) are also so helpful and always get you what you need. You can request to have breakfast in the morning from a menu selection and they bring you your food out at the time you request to have it ready for you . Tom always came and checked up on us wherever we were sitting during breakfast to chat about random things, show us his puppy and ask us if we wanted more food or needed anything. The room we stayed in had a shared bathroom in the hallway (we stayed on the 2nd floor and other rooms shared 2 full baths and a half bath with us) and it was actually very clean. The staff did a good job replenishing towels each day and cleaning the shower/toilet/sink. Felt very comfortable here. We would love to try a room with a private bathroom (it was so booked up when we tried to get one initially so book way in advance!) I love that the beach was only a 4 minute walk and access to the main streets was only an alley walk away from the house. No complaints at all after this stay. When we sat out on the porch each morning and night, many people would walk by making comments about how pretty and interesting the establishment was. The interior of the house smells super good and is clean. Highly recommend staying here! Overall 5/5 stars and we will definitely be back next year

I parked my vehicle on Baltimore Ave. because they were reconstructing the public bathrooms on the boardwalk. There was a narrow pathway through the side of the construction to the boardwalk. This was our first time to visit the Boardwalk Plaza hotel, which is a 21-year-old pink Victorian-style oceanfront resort located on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Its design is blended with modern hotel amenities. The main entrance to the hotel is located on Olive Ave. You enter under the antique wrought-iron canopy to enter the lobby. The lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas, but very small with a natural gas fireplace. They offer a heated indoor/outdoor pool. We did not stay at the resort, but we were here with our friends to enjoy our first Sunday brunch/lunch at Victoria's restaurant to the left rear of the lobby fireplace. The resort and restaurant are open year round. More to come regarding my review of Victoria's Restaurant for our early December Sunday brunch/lunch. In the meantime check out my pics of the hotel.

There are so many seating options in the lobby that look as though they came out of a beach resort magazine. The hotel posts a daily board of local restaurant specials, and the hotel itself offers plenty of great extras, like wine and cheese every day from 5:00-6:00, and cookies and milk every evening at 8:00 in the lobby. Complimentary lobby coffee is available 24/7, so there are no coffee makers in the rooms. There's also a big game room with dozens of board games. They have an indoor pool and sauna, and an outdoor hot tub. Our hotel room was quite large, with a huge flatscreen TV, a work desk, a king-sized bed, a sofa, and a coffee table. The in-room Wi-Fi and the satellite TV worked great. The bath was on the smaller size, but it looked brand new. The shower had plenty of hot water and the only nitpick was maybe the pressure from the rainfall style shower head could have been a teense more forceful. We had a nice private balcony overlooking the street and their street level firepit and seating area. The overall location is great, just a very short walk to the boardwalk and beach and within hundreds of stores and restaurants. The daily breakfast was stellar -a bounty of pre-made omelets, Sausages, Baked pears, Cereals, Oatmeal (with mix- ins like nuts, chocolate, granola, seeds, coconut), Pastries, whole and cut fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, hash browns, and ham slices. Our off-season rate was a little over $100 a night, quite a good deal for the hotel's luxury and services. Guest service was excellent at every encounter we had.

Here are the many things we loved: 1. nice clean room, comfy bed. met expectations 2. breakfast included (the items are not too exciting but there's enough food for a snack early morning to last us until brunch), free wine and cheese in the afternoon, cookies and milk at night 3. just 3 blocks from the beach sands. we didn't use it but saw a buggy that would drive people with the beach chairs to the beach. 4. guests can use their towels and beach chairs 5. there's a pool and hot tub (didn't use since we'd rather be at the beach for the short trip) 6. very courteous and helpful hotel staff I'm sure in the summer the same room would be at least $400-500 a night. It was great to come in October, weather was perfect and the rooms are much cheaper.

The whole "hotel" is actually an old motel that has been renovated to look modern but it's a scam. Check the square footage before you rent. Paid $250 a night for a tiny motel room pretty much. Breakfast? Hardly anything. The coffee machine was new but it took forever to make a cup of coffee. I can't imagine if there was a line of people waiting. I never felt so scammed and fooled in my life. Never again.

The hot tub isn't big but it's fine for a few people and great to have right next to the spa. The parking is free on the off season and once you're in, you can easily walk a few blocks to the beach or all around town. I hear they have a shuttle but we never needed them. The room is very big and we enjoyed the small balcony just as a feature. On a warm day you want to just enjoy snacks and a breeze I can imagine it is wonderful. We enjoyed the fireplace. The bathroom lights were a bit complicated but the tub was enormous and luxurious for a soak! The coffee nook with fridge was perfectly outfitted and great for storage. The room lights were a bit flickery but not a major issue. Paying for the higher adults only floor was WORTH IT! They keep the snacks area ready with basic chips and cookies and the cooler with sodas and water and refresh it all the time. The sitting room with its own fireplace is super cozy and you can play a card game or build legos being away from any hecticness. Plus afternoon cookies, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate were not to be missed! Those were great to take as a dessert after dinner or relaxing in the room. I bet in the warmer months the outside terrace is great to enjoy for reading. The bar service was good, whether you wanted drinks or meals things came out decently in good time and well done. I think the prices are very reasonable. The area has so many great options but if you just want to stay in you'll be fine! The breakfast experience was fine- the omelet stations were good but really did take a long time. Maybe just a lack of experience. Good selection of everything and while the bakery station had a variety of scones and muffins, they weren't always fresh tasting and the fruit wasn't much a variety. They will sometimes fill up and you'll have to sit in the cold conference room rather than the cozy vestibule. So go early if you want all the best options and won't be rushed. I can imagine this place is always busy but in the off season months I absolutely recommend this to any couple or single who wants to get away- shops are still open, restaurants still active, and the beach is still refreshing!

We opted for the Garden Rooms out behind the breakfast dining rooms, where it was quiet and no children allowed. Made for a romantic few days in off season when most restaurants are open and happy when customers walk in, with or without reservations. Our king bed room was a bit tight, but it was clean and cozy with plenty of hot water for the shower and no neighbors on either side of us. Fair to say, we made most of the noise. The room was made up every morning of our three night stay which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of food to go around, and even an omelet station Friday through Sunday. Nice touch. The small bar and afternoon tea was just enough to be an alternative to having to go out multiple times to pick up a cocktail or evening snack. We enjoyed the 7:30 - 10:30 morning meal and their coffee station sat on the bar for our convenience. The only slip came when the ordered omelet didn't arrive within 20+ minutes and I had to cancel the order because we needed to head out. I had a full plate anyway. I can't speak to what Bellmoor is like in season, but we found it exactly what we needed to relax, hang out in the evening and use as a base of operations as we explored more of the Rehoboth-Lewes vicinity in winter. 5 mellow well deserved stars!
