We were…read morefortunate in having some good neighbors in our building and generally in our block so it wasn't bad. Each progressing year we had our price increase and seemed as though good neighbors moved out and miscreants moved in. Can't tell you how many times the cops were called for stuff in the past few years when we hardly saw them if ever the first couple. Bugs are a big problem. Ants, wasps, crickets, and spiders are pretty common in the buildings. Hot water chooses when to work properly, and good luck sharing 2 super cheap washers and dryers with 12 families, now with time limits. We had kids from the school dropping in and out of our building left and right to chill and smoke pot. The office will tell you to catch them in the act and call the cops. Good luck with that. Neighbors are also welcome to smoke anything that seeps into your apartment rooms and nothing gets done about it. Speaking of, the women in the office are generally nice and helpful. Some more than others. Simple mistakes or misunderstandings have lead to quick attitudes, in which my wife and I did not appreciate, but generally got along with them overall. The company itself, Altman, is one of the cheapest and most selfish companies I have ever been apart of. You'll see it clearly with the cheap apartments and contents down the the hired help (yard work, upkeep, pool, etc). You're paying around $1000 or more and you feel at times you should be paying around $250 a month. It went from very nice to almost ghetto in the span since we have been there. We gave them a 30 day notice after the notice was given saying it would be terminated and decided to tell us it was 60 days notice and they renewed it, and then they say are doing us a favor by not charging us 3 months rent. Never mind being a good resident and paying on time for 8 years for their super confusing and shady lingo and rules. Also, they pick and choose when to open the pool as they can't competently hire people each year so you never really know. Last year we got a discount at the city pool, when we are paying for the one they put in years ago. This year it went up $20 more. Awesome. Have fun in the winter when the plows close you in and you have to shovel huge mounds of snow only to have it stolen right after as they do not help with parking spots and allow everyone to have as many cars parked in the main sections as you want without enforcement. I could keep going but this is long enough. I honestly hate to bash them as we lived our life here for near a decade (would have moved out years sooner if able) but we saw it go from a good place to live where I would tell my coworkers to move to and enjoy to a place I will now tell them and everyone else reading this to look elsewhere. This is a heartless place with cheap living everywhere you look and they do you no favors at the end of the day. There's a couple of really good people that work and live there but you're better off spending your money somewhere else. 1 star feels a bit much but that's as low as I can go.

I moved in when I was pregnant and construction still happening on the property and was a bit worried about what construction congestion would do to my already heightened hormones...I will say, I was never bothered by it. Mostly because of the staff. Terrain has an unbelievable building manager, Josh, who goes above and beyond to make sure our little community is functioning smoothly, kept clean, inviting and most of all, making it feel warm. Josh not only made our moving in transition effortless but has done an excellent job in building a team that works like a well oiled machine to ensure the residents are well taken care of on all fronts. I have lived in other communities where the manager brushes you off when you are in need of help, or kicks the can down the road or makes you feel like youre just a number to fill a vacancy but Josh has always done the most to make Terrain feel like a tight-knit community. From remembering my name, organizing resident events, sending help when I am in need, to constantly tinkering with the decor in our common area to make sure it is just right -- I highly respect Joshs efforts on every front. The pride he takes in his job to run this building is seen in how beautiful, inviting and full of calm energy our living space is. I am beyond thrilled with my decision to move into this space. Its wonderful!

If I could give this complex a negative rating, I absolutely would--specifically due to the…read moreunprofessionalism of the management team. My mother and her boyfriend lived here, and while the apartment itself was nice, our experience with the office staff--particularly a woman named Dena--has been extremely frustrating and disheartening. My mother recently passed away unexpectedly, and I've been handling her estate. During this incredibly difficult time, Dena was rude, dismissive, and uncooperative. After my mother's passing, her boyfriend, who was the co-tenant, moved out of state and left nearly a month on the lease. Despite the sensitive circumstances, management refused to release him from the lease without a full 60-day notice. While we were still actively sorting through belongings and selling or removing personal items, management let themselves into the unit and replaced the relatively new appliances (about a year old) with older, worn ones. This was done while they knew the primary tenant had vacated the state, and without our consent, but a message left as to the fact there were entering. We have reason to believe multiple people have been entering and exiting the apartment without our knowledge. The carpet has become noticeably dirtier, and several items have gone missing--including a brand new printer. Additionally, our boxes appeared to have been rifled through, which is deeply concerning. We also left the air conditioner running one day, expecting to return the following morning, only to find it turned off--further confirming unauthorized access. When I brought all of these issues to Dena's attention, she seemed unconcerned, and denied everything, and claimed she would "escalate the matter to corporate." She was abrupt and dismissive, nearly hanging up the phone without even taking my name or phone number--something I had to prompt her to do. When I followed up shortly afterward to ask for corporate contact information so I could escalate the matter myself, she flatly refused and said, "I'm not giving you that information." She wouldn't even tell me what city their corporate office was located in, which makes me wonder what they're trying to hide. To make matters worse, this is not an isolated incident. A friend of mine who's mother also lived here never received their security deposit back, and based on what I've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if management is engaging in shady practices--perhaps replacing appliances and downgrading the apartment's condition to avoid returning deposits. Bottom line: I strongly advise against renting from this complex. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic decency shown by the management--particularly Dena--is appalling. Be cautious and read the fine print if you choose to live here.

During a recent incident, my aunt and I were locked out of her apartment unit. We asked the staff to help by contacting maintenance. Instead of assisting us, the employee refused and locked the office doors. Days later, that same employee called a tow truck on my aunt's brand-new vehicle while she was briefly parked in a handicapped spot due to a lack of available parking. While she didn't have handicap credentials, the timing and circumstances suggest retaliation rather than legitimate concern. Behavior like this creates a hostile and unwelcoming environment for both residents and guests.

We had water literally coming through the fan and outlets in the bathroom and a crack in the ceiling in the hallway, and a "maintenance" man came and said everything is fine. He said he would be back to tackle the black mold growing in our bathroom from the multiple water leaks. He never came back. Oh and don't forget when they would have maintenance doing work in an apartment and they would blast music for 10 hours that could be heard outside in the parking lot. When it was time to move out, someone named Elliot tried to claim we never sent our letter stating we were leaving. We sent it at least 3 times. Do not waste your time and money here. It was disgusting.

I called them…read moreimmediately after because the place was filthy, smelled musty, infested with bugs, had strains all over carpet, on the blinds, spills on kitchen floor, mold/mildew in master shower and the real kicker dried urine on the floors and crap marks in the toilets. I handed them back my keys but unfortunately could not find another apartment for months in the Lehigh valley in remotely good areas. I had no choice but to ask for the key back and deep clean it with my family. In hindsight I should have moved in with family because it only got worse from there. I started getting this rotten egg smells in the bathroom, I called about it for : months but they kept saying they couldn't figure out a cause, the plumber they hired didn't bring the equipment they needed to run tests, asked me for food dye and when I didn't have it they ran no tests. The smell got worse and started to seep into second bathroom. On 9/14 I dropped to the floor coughing and gagging and instantly filled with phlegm in my throat. I called ambulance and was diagnosed with reactive bronchitis. It didn't stop there I had to call the ambulance two more times, was admitted to hospital. I saw multiple specialists, was on 4 rounds of oral steroids, nebulizer treatments, and other medications because my whole upper airway was effected. I was out of work a month and a half because of how severe the bronchospasms and phlegm was. Infectious process ruled out. Doctors felt I was exposed to hydrogen sulfide based on the smell of rotten eggs, coming from drains and severity of symptoms. Even after returning to work my voice was so horse I couldn't teach or host meetings for weeks. I sent property manager the letter from doctor stating no one should enter without proper masks and should have air quality testing. It was never done and it wasn't acknowledged even though Suzanne requested to see it in writing. I was let out of my lease which they broke from the start, took no fault and aren't the ones stuck with the medical bills. I had to hire a company to move my stuff. So now all my stuff is in storage and I'm without a place of my own while I recover. Issue was not found and will be rented out to someone else without being corrected. Township was useless because they didn't want to get involved with tenant/landlord issues even if it is a safety concern. I pray for the next tenant of C203.
