Every week there is a musical program in early afternoon for entertainment and every Friday afternoon includes additional a program that including soft drinks, beer or wine and snacks. There is a small movie theater in building and workout room and craft room all located in that area. We have two parking places in the heated parking in the basement and there is a car washing space available it you want to wash your own car. It sure is nice to not have to clean snow off the cars when heading out of the building in snowy weather. They recently opened the woodworking shop for those desiring some small wood building projects. Just about any hand or power tools needed is in that shop. They recently have added several new staff members for many of the management jobs and we like what the staff members are doing for the residents for their comfortable living conditions. Some problems with the boilers in the basement which cause cool units because They are heated with heated floors but the new maintenance Department has gotten that problem solved.

My last visit, it was 9:00 am, breakfast HAD not been ordered, I went down to the kitchen to order their breakfast, returned to pick it up and feed it to the resident. Resident is paying for the services and NOT receiving them. Shameful! Staff need to be hired and paid a decent wage. There does not appear to be a lead for the enhanced care unit; which is desperately needed. Staff are consistently on their phones, ignoring patients.

This place is bank owned and owes several years of taxes to the state. They took $900 more than agreed upon out for my dad's rent and now are dragging their heals to reimburse him. We lucked out in choosing Home Instead to take care of our 90 year old mother. (she was 87 at the…read moretime). Their services are phenomenal, starting with the first call. Mom was in rehab and about to be released. She refused to let anyone in the family take care of her because she didn't want to be a "burden". Home Instead came to the rehab facility within hours of my call and it was smooth sailing after that. Their patient coordinator, office staff, care givers, and especially the owner, John Stuck have been so attentive we'd think we are their only client. John has been to see mom several times and each time it just brightens her day (he is quite personable). We have never had a problem with their services and whenever I call with a change, etc, their response time is lightening fast and handled as though we are family to them. They also have a pay scale to match the clients needs. We are currently on the companion care plan and when mom starts to decline, we can move up a notch to the personal care plan, etc. And mom likes the variety of care givers each day. She has the same 3-4 that rotate (24/7) and she never gets bored. Since mom never wants to leave her home, now she won't have to - because of Home Instead, she can stay home as long as she wants. She is living on her terms which has kept all of us sane. When the time comes that you ever need this type of care, save yourself a lot of time and call Home Instead first - you won't be disappointed.

Staff will give you only lip service and not follow through (different staffing everyday, contract employees for the most part). Mom was ignored and given the very minimum of care. Sadly her short term memory was not the best at this time however her roommate had excellent memory and would fill us in on our daily visits about what was or more likely what was not happening. Never got any of her PT or OT exercises, moved to another area of the floor and was forgotten about for most of the day, unclean bedding, her request for a female to help with her bathroom duties was completely ignored and the list goes on. Finally had to move her to another facility with was wonderful and normal. Stay away from Cerenity and if you do have a loved one there already, have a back up plan "just in case" odds are you'll need it

One day they wheeled her into the dining room and left her sitting there for 5 hours until I came and looked for her. When I got her out to move her to a different facility, no one was even there to discharge her. No paperwork, nothing. I don't know how that place stays open.
