    Crunch Fitness - Parsippany

Folks.... I've been with this gym for years... I had a complaint about the people who work in the…read moreClifton location, which is still unresolved. Parsippany is my main location that collects my payment. But as of recent I think it's time to move on from this gym facility. Bad enough the sauna is always not working, the rest rooms are always nasty. They don't carry towels for purchase. They run out of preworkout. The females that are upstairs watching the children aren't on the friendly side. But even after all of this I still pay my membership fee, purchase water, preworkout and at times try to purchase towels because I'm always on the go for work. But today took the cake.... The female is the kids room called and said my child wanted to leave. This call came 10 minutes before she was about to close. So I decided to to take my child with me I was finishing my workout ( which I have to complete my workout because I'm a Diabetic and my life depends on my schedule) I sat my child out of the way, right in front of me. I was working out and the employee walks over and tell me I have to leave because I have my child with me. I looked that them and tried to tell them I will just let me finish my last 2 sets. She then insisted on me leaving, in which I said "ok" very angered because every situation is different. But for them to always be pushy about th time for the kids to leave and giving us a. 2 hour time limit for you to take your child and leave. This isn't professional or considerate because pushing people to hurry their workout up or else they have to go. Especially since according to the human body for a diabetic it takes at least 35/45 minutes during/after cardio for there sugar levels to stabilize/drop to normal which would possibly leave me a hour left to workout which isn't enough time. As I have paid for other day gym passes and have had my child with me, they extended the opportunity to me just as long as I took responsibility for her and she stayed out of the way especially since my disability seems I need to workout extensively ( which is stretching, loosening up my shoulder joints and left foot since I've had serious surgery on those parts of my body) Folks I say all this to say unless this place becomes more kid friendly ( kids room open longer for parents) or make sure inventory is full at all times. I will be taking my money elsewhere and you should too! It isn't disability friendly or really kid friendly.

Crunch Fitness is a solid chain gym with a very reasonable monthly rate. The staff is friendly, and…read morethe equipment is well-maintained and clean. They offer a variety of fun classes like Zumba, yoga, and HIIT, which is a nice perk. It can get crowded during after-work hours, but that's expected. One suggestion--add a picture of Arnold in the free weight section for some extra motivation and to liven up the muted decor--haha! Overall, a great value for what you get.

As someone who's always been passionate about health and comes from an athletic background, I was…read morehonestly pretty skeptical of trainers and gyms. I never loved the idea of someone hovering over me one-on-one while I struggled to lift 50 pounds over my head. That's exactly why Rebel's semi-private training model has worked so well for me. Typically, there's one trainer working with about 3-5 people, which creates the perfect balance of guidance, independence, and motivation. Some days it even turns into a one-on-one session depending on attendance -- but even then, it never feels like the awkward, overly intense private training I've experienced elsewhere. If you want constant hovering, Rebel may not be your thing (though they do offer private sessions). But if you're skeptical of gyms or trainers and want a smart, supportive middle ground, this place is incredible. What really keeps me coming back is how every single session is different. I've been training here for over a year and I've never repeated the same workout. The creativity and thought behind the programming is impressive and keeps me motivated to stay consistent and continue building strength. Kevin has been phenomenal. He somehow knows exactly what my body needs -- it's almost telepathic. Whether it's addressing weaknesses, building strength, or adapting to how I'm feeling that day, he's always spot-on. Recently, I pulled my back doing something as simple as bending over to put something in my daughter's backpack, and I knew a Rebel session would help loosen things up and get me back on track (and prevent that dreaded "about to sneeze" back pain ). I also really appreciate how respectful they are of time. I can say, "Kevin, I've only got 40 minutes," and he'll say, "Perfect -- let's go," get me out in 30, and I feel just as good as I would after an hour session. That flexibility is huge. Thank you, Rebel, for keeping me motivated, strong, and consistent -- even with an erratic schedule. You're truly amazing.

I'd join, go for a month or so, and then quit. I am happy to say not have I only been going here for over two years, but I've actually become a regular; going four, or even 5 times a week. If you're looking for a new gym, look no further. The rebel family will change your life, it sure did mine!

Locker rooms, changing areas, showers are all large and roomy. Lucille Roberts is horrendous in comparison. I'm not an expert in classes but the more popular ones were great, again huge floor and plenty of weights and bars etc. Last I checked not going somewhere because of the demographics is called being a racist. Btw It's great to have babysitting but I would prefer no tv or at least tv not blasting. Even when my kid was the only one she would not turn it off. That was my main complaint and part of the reason I ended my membership. But I would join again if that wasn't an issue.

The place was vibrant and staff were so friendly! This new owner has made this gym a nightmare. She is extremely rude, arrogant and only cares about making money and steeling it from people, even in the midst of the damn International PANDEMIC!!! When I signed up she had all these random fees that were completely unnecessary like maintenance fees, and when questioned about anything her answer is "I'm running a business here!" Owner knows nothing about fitness and has the audacity to try to criticize your workout routine in the most rude way, completely unprofessional! The showers are filthy and broken, the sauna and hot tub have been broken for years. They never answer emails. And when I tried to cancel my membership because I do not feel it is safe going to the gym to workout in a mask the owner says to me "Oh well that's no excuse people don't stop going to the gym during flu season" ??? I still have yet to receive a refund for personal training that I paid for an never started because of COVID! Such a waste of an amazing gym for women only! DO NOT SIGN UP you will be trapped!

Recently, I dropped my membership. You might ask, WHY? The pool and hot tub closed for weeks due to poor water management. Machines were shut down because they required repair and were not fixed in a timely manner. The eight showers were never all working at the same time and the air conditioning broke during the summer. These are the major reasons I gave up my membership but I could get picky and list more. Since I have joined Planet Fitness, their machines are all functioning. Most machines are relatively new. Patrons disinfect the apparatus after use which shocked me. The members are very respectful of others. The members for the most part do not sit on the machines with their Iphones. If you are not using the machine get off it. The gym is cleaned on a regular basis with numerous garbage cans throughout. You won't find litter on the floor. This gym is worlds apart from my LA Fitness experience. Thank God some people know how to run a gym.
