I had the nicest time at my first Pure Barre class in Denville. From the moment I walked in everyone was so welcoming, and I mean EVERYONE. From clients to the employees, you could just tell how nice everyone was. I was really nervous, but the employees all knew my name, remembered conversations I had over the phone, and it was just such a different experience. The instructor Tamara was amazing. So knowledgeable, no judgement at all and super encouraging. I love that she took her time with each person to correct their form and really make sure that you weren't going to hurt yourself. I ended up signing up for a 3 month membership because I felt so comfortable and I wanted to see if I could Really push myself these next 3 months. I'm looking forward to more classes! It's been about 6 months since I've joined Pure Barre Denville and I am extremely happy! I was a bit hesitant because I knew it was going to be expensive (at least more expensive than what I was used to where I used to live in Queens, NY) but it is SO worth it. I literally revolve my life around the classes at PB. I feel so incomplete without it! Each and every one in the instructors are amazing. When I met them for the first time, they really take the time out to learn your name and it makes you feel "seen" and comfortable. The whole atmosphere is so welcoming from when you walk into the studio and at the barre. They make sure that your form is correct so you don't injure yourself and even explain in class what moves focus on what muscle groups of your body! There are so many "Challenges" that you can sign up for and everyone cheers each other on! I love this PB family! I waited to join Pure Barre for a while because it seemed too expensive. However, once I finally joined I realized it is an investment. I am about 15 lessons in and I am so pleased with my decision. I call Pure Barre Denville my 'happy place'. The workouts are really challenging and I'm constantly learning new techniques and improving my form. I've already dropped a few pounds, but beyond that I'm much more toned, I'm standing straighter and I feel better in general. I love how structured the workouts are. The instructors are so positive and really helpful on if you need help with any exercise. I cannot say enough good things about the Pure Barre experience. The instructors are incredible! They take the time to help you get the absolute most out of your workout and are there to cheer on your progress. They are always happy to help with adjustments to form or modifications during class or stay after to help you figure a move out that didn't click. The class changes every day so you never get bored with a repetitive workout. I came to barre after a bad back injury to rebuild core strength. Pure Barre Denville is the best! The studio is so clean and everyone sanitized their equipment after each use. The instructors are all different but great in their own way. They challenge, encourage, and support you. I have had a plethora of injuries and have to modify a lot of things but the best part about class is that everyone is at their own level. You'll meet people of all ages, sizes, color, and gender. There is no competition as everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. I joined pure barre about 3 weeks ago and am loving every class. I have already met some barre buddies who keep me accountable when I don't come to class. Registering for class is super easy through the app! They offer a bunch of different packages but if you're going to be taking class 3x or more per week it's definitely worth it to invest in the membership. They also offer three different types of classes the classic which I always take. They have reform and empower. They also offer intensives which focus on certain muscles! The great thing about this studio is you can also go to Sparta studio as Beth owns both studios! I am very loyal to my gym and tried another barre franchise in the area and left very slighted and turned off by their methodology. However I decided to give this studio a try and immediately I was met with motivated and friendly employees which gave me hope that the instructor would be the same. I've taken 5 classes so far and every instructor is quite amazing! The studio is clean! They play good dance workout music! The owner Beth is friendly and sets an upbeat tone for the studio. Trainers are serious about pure bar. They correct you and they run a hard class oriented towards womens body parts. No aerobics but it seems like you get a heart rate from the pilates/ballet type exercises. Can't say enough good things about the Denville Pure Barre location. I write this review to let others know that I was very clearly deceived when originally signing up for one month to decide whether or not I would enjoy this type of workout. I was told that after the month, I could decide on joining or not. At that time, I had decided against Pure Barre and did not return. I came to realize that over the next months, I was charged $179.00 a month when I signed nothing and was absolutely unaware of this charge, especially since I had not been back to Pure Barre, since the end of my first week of "trying it out" because they closed the facility for renovations without ever telling me this. They said I could go to Florham Park, a 30 minute drive for me. I said that was extremely inconvenient and could I please return for my paid for month when renovations were complete. They said NO, I could not. When I called the facility to speak to the owner, Beth, I was told that they would not refund my money even though she said she was very understanding of my situation. This company could have cared less about the customer and clearly only cared about themselves. I kindly offered them to repay me several months later in July, because I knew the effects of Covid on small businesses. I have still not heard one word from them and clearly this shows a true lack of care for people who genuinely tried their facility and it was not a good fit. No respect, no empathy for someone who made a very honest mistake. What a disappointment coming from someone who told me they pride themselves on honesty. So I came here with my friend Patti because her cousin/my friend Cathi works here and I heard that Pure Barre gives one a really nice, toned workout. All Pure Barre locations offer a week free trial so that you can experience different instructors/classes which I really like. I highly recommend the empower class as it really engages your body with it's high intensity cardio exercises. Definitely get the pure barre socks (I didn't know about it so I was slipping and sliding everywhere haha). Anyways, I had an amazing time, definitely felt the burn and was sore the next day. I had no expectations which I liked because I was able to have an open mind to all that they said. They were super friendly as I walked through the doors until I left. If it's your first time, no worries, go in a little bit early to sign the waiver forms and they will also teach you what the keys words mean. Highly recommend, definitely go try it out! read more

I was hoping I wouldn't become of those people - but I've become a Pure Barre addict! I signed up for the intro month, and after that had to keep going. Pure Barre in Denville is one of those places where everyone who works there knows your name after two classes. Has a great community feel. The instructors are nice, helpful, and always available for questions. There's no doubt that the prices are steep, but it is worth it in my opinion. If you're unsure about it, they usually have special offers like your first class (or even first week) is free. I would say you should go more than once before you make a decision - the first class is TOUGH! Once you start getting into it though, you can really see and feel the difference. read more

Once she found out I was a first timer she took the time to talk to me and go over everything, what to expect etc. I purchased the intro month and will be back ASAP! I am extremely disappointed with Pure Barre DENVILLE. I was told that I could buy a $99.00 package for a month to help me decide if this was the kind of work out I preferred. I was told I had this month to figure it out and if I decided not to join after that, no problem. NEVER once was I told that I would continue being charged monthly $179.00 unless I cancelled this $99.00 month long sign up. Not only did they not inform me, which I consider to be a terrible business practice, they closed the facility a week later for construction. I asked if I could freeze the month since I had just joined for the month. I was told NO.... I could use the Florham Park facility. I kindly let them know that I had no interest in driving almost 30 minutes and would appreciate waiting until they reopened since it was 5 minutes from my home. Again, I was told that "we're not able to do this at this time." When the month finished, I had gone a total of 3 times, since they closed, I decided that I would not continue, therefore did not open my emails from them since I was very turned off by them not honoring my request which they had no reason for. I happened to look at my credit card statement and saw that I had been charged for 6 months completely unbeknownst to me. I felt betrayed and cheated. No one mentioned to me that I would have to pay unless I cancelled at the end of the month. I find this practice to be extremely dishonest and very typical with small businesses looking to deceive the costumer and take full advantage of their unawareness. The owner has not responded to my recent requests for a refund. This business is extremely dishonest and will not honor my honest position as someone who was completely led to believe one thing when there was much deceit in what was actually happening. I will be taking legal action. I find it appalling that I gave the owner 4 months since Covid has taken a toll on all businesses, however she chose to completely ignore my request after I was very thoughtfully considerate of her position. She offered me classes on line to make up for this intentional breech of trust. If I wanted to continue with Pure Barre, I would have signed on. Little did I know they were charging me all along completely unconcerned with the fact that they were deceiving me. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

I have been hooked on Pure Barre since taking my first class. Each class offers a variety of workouts that works all my muscles. I feel so much stronger and toned. The classes are always challenging and the teachers really help each client challenge themselves during class. It's a complete mind and body workout. The studio is so inviting and it always feel like family when you are there. Pure Barre offers cardio classes, although both classes will give you a total body workout, get your heart rate up and burn major calories. read more
