I am surprised about the negative reviews here. I have had a wonderful experience. Maybe Matchmaking isn't for everyone, but I am so Happy I did this for myself! I had a rough start, but it is a process and making sure I provided detailed Feedback about each date that was rough at the start, lead me to my person! We have been what they call Happy Hold for 6 months now and enjoying every moment together. It is never boring, ever, with him! All I know is, this is a way better avenue than online dating. The vetting, all the leg work they do gave me back hours of every day back to me from searching online. I hate reading this was not so pleasant for other's. My suggestion is do what I did, send an email or call your Matchmaker and start fresh. The company failed to align with consumer safety, transparency, and the criteria established during my onboarding. I asked them to cancel and refund me based on the following material issues. 1. Omission of Material Restrictions: During my introduction to my first match, I discovered an an alarming information asymmetry. The gentleman had been given full access to my profile and background details (which I did not agree too or knew this was even a thing) while the agency completely withheld his identity from me. When I questioned this, my MM stated " Oh she (Francie) didn't tell you this restriction exists because you do not have a certain membership tier". She told me it was a $1,000 more to find out information on candidates. This restrictive, multi-tiered policy was never disclosed to me prior to signing, nor is it explicitly stated in my contract that my physical safety and basic right to transparency would be based on tier pricing. Needless to say, this made me feel violated and vulnerable. 2. Failure to Honor Criteria: The second introduction provided to me was entirely incompatible even after a long discussion with Audrianna. The individual possessed traits and criteria that was not even close to what I discussed with Francie and Audrianna. I have of course not heard back from them and am disputing with my bank. NO,NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!! I would give them zero stars if I could. Please do not fall for this company! I went to the Winter Park location. I left there thinking I came to the right place, I was going to meet amazing men and was really feeling like I had made an investment in mysefl! What a complete letdown! My program had 10 dates, I only went on 8 as the matches were nothing like I had requested. Lori the initial contact really did a great job "selling" me on the service, yet it started with her not putting any information in my profile we had discussed. I found this out when my first matchmaker asked me to update my profile. Minimal information along with the awful photo she took of me that day. Eventhough she had asked my a lot of questions and sent me her number to add better pictures. I cried on my way home after each date. NONE of the men I was matched with were within my dating paramaters. I spoke to the matchmaker, even tried higher management. Lori said she would always be there to assist, when I reached out to her with a concern, she told me I was now in the hands of the matchmaker. No one was even the slightest bit interested in helping. My last date I felt so uncomfortable with I had to tell the waitress to please keep checking on the table. I should have walked out, but I am a lady, well-mannered and did not want this "man" to give me a bad review. However, after that date I decided to cut ties with the complany and cut my losses. Historically, whenever I raised concerns, one of the matchmakers would reach out, but meaningful consideration of my feedback never seemed to follow. At times, it felt as though my stated preferences were used as a guide for what not to match me with. When I expressed concerns, I often felt positioned as the difficult client rather than a paying customer seeking the service I purchased. Had I encountered these individuals on a dating app, most would have received an immediate left swipe. Instead, I paid a significant amount of money for a service that promised personalized matchmaking and delivered experiences that felt random at best and concerning at worst. At the end of this journey, I am left with a smaller bank account, diminished enthusiasm for dating, and a collection of stories that sound more like a dating-themed fairy tale gone wrong than a premium matchmaking experience. Not a wise investment and are your ready to release your private information? I have been asked by Naomi from Matchmaking and their corporate attorney Chase to remove my review and I will be released from my contract. This is what I wrote to the attorney: Step back please. Let's reframe this. I am the person whose privacy was violated by an Executive member of Matchmaking, who did not follow Matchmaking's policies, as stated by their advocate, in writing and verbally by a second employee. I am the one who was wronged. If you want the review removed you should refund the entire Matchmaking contract price of $6,995. I value my ability to write reviews and love saying well done. So this negative review is costing me $$, but honestly, it is more important that you understand how your privacy is "handled" and how women are "processed through." I am tall, pretty, and athletic. First match said I was stunning. Next two matches were completely inappropriate. The second man had difficulty walking. It has now been 8 months without a match. When I signed up I was told there was a large pool of men and in fact 2 guys were just perfect for me. I did ask how large the pool was, but was never given an answer. My bad for not obtaining that information So ladies, they really are NOT there. I paid $7K and have had 3 matches in 17 months. I may be 85 by the time I have met all 8 of my matches. That was not my plan. My third match told me that he had started in February and had a match every month. So if you are a guy, perhaps you will have more opportunities. Yes, my MM was to call me, didn't. So I wrote an email and sent a text to explain my concerns and basically was told, "you signed a contract." Sorry, I made a bad investment based on an enthusiastic sales person and at an emotional moment of loss. Ask about the pool of people, ask how frequent are the dates, ask how many MM folks they have working on your behalf for starters. And the most recent "match" was given my name, my location, and my date of birth. He elected to research me and call me and left at best a rather "socially awkward" messagee, not once but he called three times. This personal information was released without my consent. It was an "executive" review. The MM participants pay $20k to join the Executive program. Don't sell yourself. I am sorry that I have to say this. Basically this is a gambling scheme. They take your money and you are gambling on hopefully getting an appropriate and well curated match. But, but but. For some age groups there is a disparity of either males or females with an 80% to 20% female to male ratio. And if you are effective in narrowing down your criteria, you will most likely not get any matches because the pool of eligible people is very small. This might be a better program in a bigger market but in NW Arkansas, it is very poor matchmaking service and basically they are just taking your money without you getting an effective return. Very poor business model. You are counting on the matchmakers to match your requirements for body type, age, and attractiveness. That can be very subjective and some matchmakers are most likely not sticking to the criteria submitted by the client. read more

I signed up with The Matchmaking Company in Princeton in March 2025 and paid $3,000 for their services. I was told introductions generally occur within 3-10 business days after processing. I submitted everything promptly, but by the 11th business day I had not received an introduction or a meaningful update. Based on that timeframe, I requested cancellation and a refund. After I asked to cancel, I was presented with a match. The suggested first meeting was described as a four‑hour fine dining dinner costing up to $150 per person. From the communication, I understood I would likely be expected to cover at least half, if not the full expense. This differed from what I had been told earlier -- that first meetings are usually simple, like coffee or lunch so I chose to continue with the cancellation. The company declined to refund the fee. I disputed the charge with American Express, and after review, the charge was reversed. They later reported my account to credit bureau in December 2025 and it remains disputed. Since then, I have had only one relevant date. As a senior citizen, I find this deeply troubling. The company accepted a significant payment while failing to deliver the promised service. Despite outlining criteria--such as religion, education, and shared interests--the few introductions offered either did not match my profile or the individuals were not interested. This strongly suggests the company did not have an adequate pool of suitable candidates but enrolled me anyway. While Stacey, the matchmaker, is consistently pleasant on calls, that does not change the outcome: there are no appropriate matches being provided. Presenting an illusion of opportunity to a senior client while failing to deliver meaningful results raises serious concerns about elder exploitation and deceptive business practices. Do not do businesses with this company there is nothing honest about them. This company WILL swindle you out of your money and lie and tell you whatever to get you to trust them. They have a recruiter who persuades you to go in. These people will not take no for an answer and keep pushing... they ask you how much you make and create a "special discount pricing" only for today and push to get as much money from you. When you say no, they offer a cheaper "special pricing" and tell you only for today through coercion, manipulation and pressure you into purchasing. Typical high-pressure sales tactics. You believe everything they've told you about the program and they make it seem like every client chooses from these packages because if other clients are investing, that means they're as serious about the program as you are.. so you think. They never tell you're signing a contract. They tell you sign here initial here by this point you trust everything they're saying, but they're being very deceptive because every time they tell you something, they never look you in the eye. They make you pay absorbs amount of money and they recruit people for free and match them up with you. Even when you ask, they lie to you about your Match paying and have even changed documents on your preferences just to match their narrative. The company representatives are very rude and they take what you say out of context and when you give feedback you're called a liar. They openly admitted the company does not care if you read their contract or not (which they purposely have you unknowingly sign). There's no way for you to find out any of this UNLESS you file complaints, fight back for your money or take them to court. That's when they openly admit everything they hid from you in regards to the matches not paying "promotions" while they charge you or give you "special pricing". I'm in the middle of legal actions and will invite anyone who wants to join me To begin with, Iris who interviewed me made so many promises verbally and then they denied it and made me look like I misunderstood everything. They don't find you matches according to your wants, they just throw anyone at you for the sake of the contract. They completely lied to my bank that I denied the introduction while the person was not even available. Thankfully I saved their voicemail and proof to show in court. I wish I had read these reviews before wasting my time meeting with them. I did not sign a contract. When they wanted my social security number the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I had been in there with this woman for 2 and a half hours. When I hesitated she said, "talk about trust issues." First she showed me a $20,000 plan. I was so shocked. Then she showed me some other plans of varying thousands of dollars and the lower the price the fewer matches. I think it was like one of those time share meetings where they break you down over a long period of time. I finally told her that I needed to get out of that room. Geez. I'm sorry I can't get that two and a half hours back. OH and she said something about signing things saying you won't discuss what you paid with your match because they might say "hey, I paid $20,000." I'm so sure! if this is supposed to be your match then you should be able to talk to them about absolutely anything. What a racket! She made a copy of my drivers license before I caught my snap. Offered me one free match if I would go ahead and complete the paperwork. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't pay people to call and act like matches. I am dumbfounded. I signed up with this company in their Michigan office. Do Not Sign A Contract With This Company!!!! They only want your money and will not fulfill their promises of finding you someone! The way it works is you get an interview with someone who is basically a salesperson and she tells you that they have plenty of people that meet your preferences and that it will be easy to set you up. You sign a contract and pay the agreed upon price for the agreed upon number of matches. Then they assign you a matchmaker who is not given all of the information about you that was collected in your initial interview. They introduce you to people that do not meet your preferences and when you complain to a manager they say "well you can't plug in your preferences into a computer and pop out a person". Basically contradicting what the salesperson at the initial interview process says to you. I've been set up with multiple men that didn't meet my preferences or seriously had problems. Most were either socially awkward as in couldn't carry a phone conversation, were blatantly rude, or just very creepy. The last person I was set up with was creepy to the point where I had to decline an in-person date with him and he started yelling at me over the phone. I ended up blocking his number after he tried to call me back multiple times. He ended up leaving threatening voicemails on my phone from a different phone number that were so severe I had to file a report to the police. My personal matchmaker with the company was very apologetic and caring over the situation, but the management at that company was completely unhelpful and extremely disrespectful. Larry the manager called me when I asked my matchmaker if I could get a refund due to this extreme situation, and told me no. He was not the slightest bit remorseful over the situation, interrupted me while I was talking to say it's not his company's fault, said I'm not getting any money back, and said the conversation was basically over. I met with a woman who got to know me, then my "profile" gets shuffled over to some guy who's never met me. He sets me up with men I have nothing in common with and we both know it.
