Went to a retreat spondored by Bom Dia and was very disappointed. The massages were the only…read moredecent part of this experience. The retreat was poorly organized and executed. When my concerns were brought up to the organizer, Adriana, I was met with a blank stare. Tried to follow up with her and she was not empathic and said I must have misunderstood what was being offered. The accommodations were not properly vetted (she had never been to the site beforethis retreat), were unhygienic (filthy every where from bathroom to common areas) did not have hiking trails or safe outdoor areas as advertised. The food was not what I was expecting at a "wellness" retreat, especially as I mentioned my friend was a vegetarian and does not eat cheese... .one meal was a charcuterie board and bag of lettuce. There was no one actually in charge of organizing meals, for breakfast someone put out the makings of smoothies, which we later learned we were to make and clean up our own smoothies or you could have prepackaged tasteless hardboiled eggs (absolutely disgusting) Aside from the accommodations and food. The "life-coaching" was sitting for hours while Tom wrote illegibly on a white board, which was not my idea of relaxing or wellness, as I attend meetings for work regularly and do not want to relive it on my weekends. Breakout sessions and discussion groups might have been better. The yoga was minimal, and I dont believe it was with a certified instructor, as she offered no modification, and there were several people with no yoga experience who needed instruction and got none. This was a waste of money and time.

I've never had a massage before. The reason I tried 502 Salon & Spa was because they offered 30…read moreminute sessions, and I figured if I hated it, it wouldn't last too long. Most places offer 60 and 90 minute sessions (501 also has these options, but I love the shorter ones). I put in my notes when I booked online that it was my first massage and I was nervous it would be painful. When I arrived, the front desk attendant was very kind and took me upstairs to the spa. (Note - not sure how accessible this place is - I did not notice an elevator). My masseuse was Ashley, and she was incredible. She walked me through the process knowing I was apprehensive, explained any add ons, and made me feel at ease. She is so good at what she does, and I genuinely cannot wait to go back.

This was unfortunately the most disappointing salon experience I've ever had. The reception team…read morewas lovely, the ambiance is beautiful, and the stylists are kind and professional. However, the results were consistently not what I requested. I brought in an inspiration photo and clearly stated multiple times that I did not want any red tones. The result was noticeably red/orange and looked nothing like the photo. I called the salon, and they were courteous and offered to correct it. The manager was helpful and encouraged me to return to the same stylist so she could learn from the situation. Although I was uncomfortable with that, I agreed as long as there was guidance. At the redo appointment, I again showed the inspiration photo and reiterated my concerns. Unfortunately, I left with hair that was pinkish/reddish/yellow and extremely dry -- again, not aligned with what I requested. The manager did ask if I was happy with it, but with the stylist present, I felt uncomfortable speaking up and said very little. The situation felt awkward and difficult to address in the moment. While the redo was comped, I was charged approximately $150 for a root retouch. Within just a few days, my silver growth was already visible. At this point, I am over $500 into the experience and have left each appointment feeling embarrassed rather than confident. I've decided to move on and find another salon, but I was truly disappointed by how far the final results were from what was clearly communicated.

Hello stress relief! After having cupping with a massage done on my upper back, I felt so much…read morebetter! Melly is a thorough and knowledgeable licensed massage therapist. She answered my questions and made me feel comfortable. I've never had cupping done before, but was so excited to try it out. Having cupping combined with the massage really helped my muscles relax and not feel all tensed up like they usually are. I knew that I would have cupping marks (as you can see in my photos) after the treatment due to my sensitive skin. Melly gave great insight to why there could be a bruised appearance and assured me that it was stagnant blood brought out of the muscles up to a more superficial part of the skin. The cupping did not hurt, was not painful, but if any of the cups felt uncomfortable, Melly was able to adjust them. We took before and after photos of my flexibility and you can see a difference on the side that refuses to move on a normal basis. I waited a couple weeks to leave a review to really be able to capture my experience and I can firmly stand by my opinion that it was fantastic. I had full muscle relief from the cupping and massage combination for a little over a week and a half. Well worth it considering I usually have to use heating packs to help with muscle relief often. I would highly recommend Melly to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional massage therapist.

The therapist did an excellent job and was very professional in her approach. It seemed to me more effective is removing the tension from my body and getting the knots out of my muscles. I am looking forward to my next session.

I don't have any injuries or health concerns, but I am relatively athletic and experience regular muscle soreness and tightness. I really benefit from his massages and he's great as varying the intensity, based on what I've been working out that week. At my first appointment, he had me fill out a form describing my needs and levels of comfort with different types and areas of massage. He's a great communicator, which is so important. As the same time, he respects my need to disconnect from conversation and relax in quiet while I enjoy my massage. He's not overly chatty like other therapists I've had. But I do enjoy talking to him. He's an interesting and kind person. His office is convenient for those in the vicinity of the University of Cincinnati. It's in a private, quiet building, very relaxing. I've also had him come to my home for an in-house massage and that was great too. His pricing is really reasonable and he's been very flexible with my schedule. He texts me reminders and asks about any timing adjustments before each appointment. As a person with a full schedule, I really appreciate this.
