They have a variety of services available for all ages. This is hands down - the best workout you can come across in the Lower Hudson Valley area! They helped me to tone up and build core and upper body strength that I never had before. This establishment is good for all ages. If I had teen that was coming of age, I'd book a self defense party for her and her friends here to learn basic techniques to defend and escape dangerous situations. Check them out! My 6-year old son has been attending Little Ninja classes at Power MMA Krav Magra for 4 sessions…read morenow and I cannot say enough great things about the program and Sensei Yuri! The program promotes fitness, confidence and respect of oneself and others in a positive and fun learning environment and my son has thrived with each successive session. I have been so impressed with not only the Little Ninja program (which, as I mentioned, goes beyond karate and teaches respect of one's parents, healthy eating and exercise habits, discipline, etc.), but also with Sensei Yuri who has the unique ability to pull the best qualities out of each student. His way of teaching is one that is fun, but treats each student regardless of age as one who must give and must receive respect. He is not afraid to expect the best of each student, and the students thrive! I'm excited for my son to now go to the next level of classes and also for our family to check out the other offerings at the school. The school has fitness programs for men, women and children (such as self defense, dance, piyo, etc.) and it's worth mentioning that many of the classes are sensitive of the needs of Orthodox students. While we are not Jewish/Orthodox, it is heartening to me that a student who is more comfortable with a male or female only teacher/class can choose that, or they can choose a unisex option depending on their comfort level, religious requirements, etc. There's lots of parking and the hours are great, with late hours and weekend hours for people who work/have school. Definitely check out a trial class at this school! The skills learned at Krav magra are not just for show--they are supremely useful for self defense and I think a great option for anyone of any age interested in martial arts.

A superb environment to learn new fighting skills, whether it's MMA, Muay Thai, BJJ Gi, or No Gi, or BJJ Competition.. AND Some more! ++ the knowledge is here! Proven by actions! and we all already know that knowledge is power! Professor Mike Wilson is a great professor and a highly skilled and knowledgeable instructor!!! Setting the new bar for high standards! In fact, Every instructor I've ever had in this gym is beyond amazing. Always dynamic and learning new things. Seminars are always on point! The amount of arsenals and ammunition (fighting knowledge) under Mike's belt is beyond amazing, and one can only hope some of it rubs on to you.. from which he has no problem teaching you any of his techniques. The Gym is top quality! Not only in its cleanliness thanks to Professor Mike Wilson who cleans the whole gym top to bottom DAILY, but also its Graffiti and art on the walls are phenomenal, with beautiful mats and protected walls and beams, and just protection all around. Also, another HUGE PLUS is that Rolling with partners is always safe! 99% of people here roll with consideration for their partners.... I Don't know the other 1% lol. But here, its all about improving technique! applying it gracefully without hurting your partner is THE Biggest plus you'll ever find in a BJJ Gym. My kids were a bit hesitant to switch after the trial because they felt that it was rough. We asked the instructor, JP, if we could have another free trial before we decided if we wanted to switch over to Jujitsu or stick with Taekwondo. However, their response was that Master Doug felt that one trial was enough for (2 six year boys) to decide whether it was a good fit or not. So basically, you are saying that a six year old boy can decide in 1 class if this is something he wants to pursue. If that were the case we would see a lot of kids quitting after trying something once. And another thing you are telling me is a loyal customer of 2 kids cannot try it again until they commit to a membership. Don't tell me this is not about money and they are concerned about the "kids and family not trusting the program". So please spare me your response to my review that this is about trusting the program! Since this is how they treat loyal customers, save your money and go elsewhere. Other places in Westwood and even close to Westwood are more than happy to offer 2 free trials if you are not sure. What a waste of time and money!

Westchester County is incredibly lucky to have The World Seido Karate Organization right in our own…read morebackyard. Under the leadership of one of the truly few World Renowned Martial Arts Grandmasters, Kaicho Nakamura and his son, successor, and Chief Instructor, Nidaime Nakamura, Seido has become an integral part of not only my life but my entire family as well. A global organization with branches on almost every continent in the world, training is focused on "Karate-Do: The training of mind, body, and spirit to realize the fullness of human potential". As a true traditional Japanese martial art, training is comprised of a dedicated approach to mastering the fundamentals as building blocks to advanced and more complex techniques and requirements as one progresses at their own pace. You will sweat and push yourself, at times, further than you thought you can be pushed. Having trained at The Westchester branch for over 6 years this month, Seido has become an important part of my life where everyone focuses on the concept of Renma, "Keep Polishing" (Improving), regardless of physical ability, age, or rank. So much so, that my wife and I made the decision to introduce our elementary aged twin daughters to Seido earlier this year. The children's program is wonderful and puts exceptional credence to safety, development, and building confidence among the kids and teens. I've witnessed this firsthand as I help assist children's classes periodically. It's been a pleasure to refer Seido to many of our close friends, who also are either members themselves or enrolled their kids in the children's program and train with my girls. All of the instructors are wonderful people who I would trust with my daughters implicitly, without reservation. The organization as a whole attracts high caliber people from different walks of life, who bring a common denominator to the Seido community of being a genuinely good person. I couldn't recommend Seido enough to anyone and everyone. Having never trained in the martial arts before, yet always curious, as challenging and demanding as training is, the hardest part for me was getting the courage up to walk through the door on a particularly cold March evening in 2016. The rest has been exceptionally fulfilling, you won't regret it!
