Established in 1985.
Ilene Gruber Adams, the founder of the company, owned and operated a successful broadcast marketing company in Boston , MA. With revenues exceeding two million dollars, The Marketing Works worked with radio stations nationwide, creating marketing strategies, promotions, direct mail campaigns and Rock and Roll Expos for such companies as Infinity Broadcasting, Susquehanna Broadcasting and ClearChannel.Ilene moved the company to New Jersey in 1990 and to Florida in 2004.
Meet the Business Owner: Ilene A.
With over 30 years experience marketing both commercial and non-profit businesses, we have the know-how and experience to market all aspects of your business, from strategic planning to web-design. Our experience includes non-profits, arts organizations, doctors, retailers, service providers and commercial businesses.
Ilene studied fine art in Rome, Italy and returned to Tyler School of Art/Temple University to get a degree in graphic design and advertising. After moving to Boston, Ilene continued her studies in Marketing at Harvard.
In 1981, Ilene opened Women at Work, a radio marketing company that soon became one of the leading broadcast marketing companies in the country, with sales of 2 million dollars, consulting radio stations
nationwide.
The company moved to New Jersey in 1990 and reformed in Florida in 2004 where she has been creating branding and marketing campaigns
Ilene is also an award-winning artist exhibiting extensively.
