After taking a chance and working with Steven, we quickly realized that he's extremely hard working, always made time for us (we only had weekend availability) and was open to questions and concerns whenever we had them - even at odd hours. We always wondered when he finds the time to sleep, because he is such a hard worker and always responsive. Steven was also very knowledgeable about the houses we saw with him and could easily point out problems that he saw, which was very useful. Steven helped us navigate this competitive market and guided us through the steps necessary to win a bid. Although he always told us his recommendations for what it took to win an offer, he never pressured us to go higher than what we were comfortable with or to do anything we didn't want to. But his advice was always spot on; after several weeks of working with him, we won an offer and now own the house of our dreams in a beautiful area! In this competitive market, having a knowledgeable and hard-working realtor is very important. We highly recommend working with him - Steven goes above and beyond for his clients.

We were first-time buyers, and he was great at explaining the process and preparing us for what to expect. He also was very good about asking what we liked and didn't like about a place to help us figure out where and what to consider. When we found a place that we loved, he did a great job negotiating our purchase price. The first offer we made was accepted, and it was well under our max! And when we were under contract, David was there every step of the way and gave us good, realistic advice about what we could ask for from the sellers after the inspection. He has also been amazing about continuing to check in with us to make sure everything is going ok with the house. One of the amazing things about David that you just can't replicate is his experience. He knows so many realtors in the DMV, and those connections went a long way in getting us our house. I can't recommend David enough!

He advised us (and took care of) everything from getting our place show-ready and marketing to negotiations and pricing strategy. We had it all: tenants who refused to vacate, complex and unusual "if then" clauses, multiple offers, missed inspection deadlines, engaged neighbors, TOPA challenges, delayed closings - it was truly a monster of a deal and Mike was extremely patient and personally engaged at every stage. When we wanted to hold out for the right deal, he weighed the pros and cons with us and ultimately respected and supported our decisions. He was responsive, empathetic, and honest. In general, we consistently felt like we were in the best hands for this deal -- and that we were respected at each decision point. Mike guided us through the offer-writing process with ease and truly made us feel like we were his top priority at every turn. We've greatly appreciated Mike's personal investment in seeing us settle into a home we love, and we'd absolutely recommend his team if you're looking to buy/sell on the Hill.

Never pushy, Gretchen and her staff believe strongly in educating the buyer to empower them to make an informed decision. They are so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable in both about the area and in the process and all of the details that everything went smooth as silk. They listened well to what we were looking for and continually brought interesting and appealing opportunities to us. Even when we had issues with one house vs another (which always come up, it's just part of finding the perfect house for yourself), they were always understanding, attentive, and diligent so as to then come back to us with new suggestions that incorporated our feedback. This past January we celebrated our 3 year anniversary of buying our first home. We fell in love the first time we walked through it, and have been in love with it since the day we got the keys. She said she had "other commitments and would be available by phone for the closing"! In fact, she was in a time zone seven hours ahead of Eastern Time and not readily available at all. She left Dan Metcalf in charge and if I called him, he would tell me that he wasn't the listing broker. The pièce de resistance was him leaving a message with the Title Closing Officer that I "wasn't nice" I have a photo of the message if anyone wants to contact me privately to see it. These people were supposed to be representing me! I had some questions the night before closing and instead of speaking to me, Judi & Tamar responded by threatening me with legal action accusing me of being in breach of contract if I didn't go to the closing in the morning. Gali, the supposed owner, left me a text message or email while I was driving to the closing asking if I was going to the closing and if she should come. I saw it when I arrived at the closing. I responded immediately that I was at the closing. She called a little while later screaming at me that her time was valuable and did I want her to come from Takoma Park to Rockville. I said I did. By the time she arrived the closing was finishing up. She did not say one word to me and no one from this group got in touch to even offer congratulations on the sale of the home.
