Not only is the director and front office staff top notch professionals, the teachers truly operate as a team - helping my child thrive academically and socially. As a parent, I am expected to engage and help with homework every week, volunteer as a class reader and participate in various themes throughout the year! We love the structure. You'll never feel like there is someone you should only talk to for certain items - they all work and speak from the same page. Of course this school has the standard KRK curriculum but what it has to differentiate itself is heart & investment, i.e. Splash pad (2x a week in the summer = more work for the teachers but they believe it's worth it!), spring and fall festivals (the whole place turns into a giant carnival and it's all from the owners pockets), weekly magic man/ music enrichment / gym activities (also part of your tuition), spring and winter performances - real lights, choreography, music and performance by our little ones! The teachers here mostly have at least 5-10 years of service. That should speak volumes. In fact, because hiring is never perfect, when there were concerns, I have seen this team all hands on deck to address it effectively. So.... While nothing replaces personal mom/dad/family stay at home care and while there are usually up to 20 kids per class (3 teachers), we have been overjoyed with the partnership we've built with this team and hope to continue the trend!! 2 thumbs up :-)

Over the past five years, it has been her home away from home--a place where she has grown into such a capable, confident, and fun-loving little girl. She had so much fun every single day, and the teachers had a true gift for making learning exciting and engaging. Our children were always safe, nurtured, and exceptionally well cared for--the staff is truly bar none. A special thank you to the two incredible teachers in the infant room--any family would be beyond blessed to have them care for their baby. We also can't say enough about the private kindergarten staff, who were simply beyond excellent and helped prepare her so beautifully for the next chapter. The front desk and administrative team are true rockstars--they have created such a warm, positive environment and an amazing culture throughout the school and its staff. The teachers loved her like their own, taking the time to know her inside and out, and that kind of care is priceless. The education she received was outstanding, and while it was an investment, it was absolutely worth every penny. We are beyond grateful for the role this school has played in shaping her into who she is today. It's also worth noting that staff turnover here is noticeably low compared to many other schools, which I truly believe is a direct reflection of the incredible culture the administrative team has created--making this one of the very best schools in Cobb County.

My son attended Eastminster Preschool for about 2 months before I pulled him and moved him elsewhere. When he started at the school, he was just under 2 years old. I was shocked when about 2 weeks after being at the school I received an email describing all of the things that my child was doing wrong. He couldn't unpack and hang up his backpack, walk in a line, sit at a table and do centers, and the list went on. The email was sent to me as though my less than 2 year old child should already know how to do all of this. As a teacher and mom, I was very aware that these expectations of a less than 2 year old, especially a boy, were incredibly ridiculous. It made me feel as though his teacher knew very little about the developmental stages of children, and the director seemed to have no issue with this at all. I felt as though my little boy was being treated like a problem child, when I knew that he was a perfectly normal toddler boy. With that being said, this is not the only instance I have heard of boys being treated like problems at this preschool. I have two other friends who had similar experiences with their sons, and they were both dismissed and treated as though normal, developmentally appropriate boy behavior is actually misbehavior. If you have a well-behaved little girl, I'm sure she will do just fine here...but as for little boys, I would think twice before sending them here.

I've had children here for the past 2 1/2 years and this sweet little school is as good as it gets…read more I stumbled upon St. Andrew when we moved here because it's one of the few schools in the area accredited by NAEYC, which has the most stringent accreditation standards for early childhood education. Most of the teachers are former elementary school educators who left the schools system and have been here for many years. I have one child with developmental differences, and my son's teachers and the director went above and beyond to make sure he was receiving the early intervention he needed both inside and outside of the classroom. Parents are very involved and the school is like family. The director even texted me the night before my oldest son's first day of kindergarten to tell me she was praying for my son to have a great first day of school. St Andrew offers many enrichment opportunities than other church preschools don't: math, science lab, music, and there's even a weekly Spanish class with a sweet ukelele playing native speaker. Now that there is new management, we had hopes for families involved and were extremely disappointed to find out that a parent of a very talented School of Rock student received an email threatening enrollment because another student accused her of "blowing" at him. The student in question is very talented and has been a part of School of Rock for 5 years. There were no witnesses to this "blowing at," and it was not captured on camera. The complaining parent stated that the girl made her son uncomfortable because the accused student is on the Autism Spectrum. School of Rock could have used this moment to educate others about neurodiversity, but did not. FYI, School of Rock had no prior instances or concerns about the talented student prior to this one complaint
