Update 6/16/2023: My last review said I'd be back again if I found myself in the area and that was the case today! I was surprised to see the building is green now (it was red last time) and it is also drive thru/walk thru only now as well. The drinks were still great though! It's cash only and they had no menus but the owner kindly gave us a rundown of options. I ordered a cappuccino with coconut milk and my husband got a hazelnut latte. The place was a little off the beaten track, but the ratings were high, so I decided to give it a try. I like to try new places, especially small local places. The interior was very nice looking, and comforting. The barista was extremely nice/friendly. Oh, and the latte was good, too! I plan to stop regularly when I'm traveling by in the future. read more

This is NOT a restaurant, as my Google search told me it was (with a link to a restaurant website complete with menu that looked amazing!) HOWEVER, the lady that greeted us was super nice and friendly and the place is super cute and I bet they made a mean cup of Joe. We were hungry so she told us about a great place just a few blocks away. Just wanted y'all to know so you wouldn't get thrown like we and apparently others have. This is most def a surprising gem in an expected place.....well worth the three minutes it takes you to get there from the interstate. Excellent coffee, better than the Starbucks in the Safeway, and served up from owner Daphne with charm and warmth, in a cool, historic gas station where she also has a gift shop that's fun to peruse. A very nice quaint little coffee shop. The minute you walk in you get an aroma of warm spices. There is a cute sitting area and a neat little trinket/home decor section of the shop that makes the atmosphere cozy and inviting. Being from the Denver area the coffee isn't much different from your typical coffee shop, nothing spectacular outside of traditional coffee. However, for this little town when truck stop mud coffee, hotel brew selections, and watery restaurant drips, this coffee shop is a gem and the best crafted latte brews. It is a small town coffee so remember to give grace if you happen to come as out of towners. We went with 5 out of town guests and two of our in town friends, which was a big order, plus about 5 additional regular guests showed up. I feel we overwhelmed the lady a bit, since it was quite the rush, but she handled it well, made the drinks in a timely manner. We tried to make conversation, but I think the business of the rush gave a frazzled feel and so she didn't seem as homey as her shop. Once we left and the rush died down she was much more chirpy, so give grace if you come. read more

Passing through Burlington on a cross country journey, I found this gem of a coffee shop. Directly opposite the shop are grain silos waiting to load railroad cars. Daphne greets visitors warmly. And she makes a perfect latte. The atmosphere is delightful as regulars stop by for their daily dose. Listen in and get the scoop on the goings on about town. Picked up an awesome morning jolt a few mornings back, and really enjoyed it! We stopped by The Main Cup on our way through eastern Colorado, and despite a bit of contempt for the Yelp process (to which i am heretofore contributing), we stopped in just from seeing all the great past reviews this place had. It did not disappoint! Snagged a full-bodied and bold americano as well as a crazy good chocolate latte, and almost skipped out on food for the morning thanks to the delicious drinks. My wife and I stopped for coffee at The Main Cup on Friday, July 27, 2018. We ordered a pair of lattes, which were delicious! This coffee shop is very easy to get to - it is right at the north end of Main Street. Burlington is a small town - so it is no problem to get to the coffee shop even if you're traveling on I-70. In addition to having a number of different styles of coffee, they offer different types of milk (almond, coconut, soy - even macadamia nut!) to suit your taste! There is a small seating area outside where we sat to drink our coffees - and every person who came in and out of the shop was very friendly. The Main Cup is a great little coffee shop, but it also has a little gift shop attached, as well. If you happen to be driving through eastern Colorado, and you want to stop for some coffee - you won't regret trying The Main Cup! (And don't forget to sign the guest book!) read more

Don't be fooled by Burlington, because tucked away from the highway and yes, only a two minute drive, is a coffee oasis!! For some reason this place isn't listed on Yelp, but it's very possibly the best thing about Burlington, Colorado. The Main Cup is a really good coffee shop, with tasty drinks, free WiFi, and great decor. But instead of on a busy street in the city, it's on a corner in the quiet town of Burlington. We've been here twice now, and plan to stop in whenever we're in Burlington again. There is plenty of room for seating, which I've never seen even half full (I hope that's not a sign that the company isn't doing well). There are good tables and chairs to hang out, plus games and books to keep you entertained. The only negative thing about The Main Cup is that they hardly have any food. Today, for instance, they just had three cream cheese danishes. And we ate two of them. They were delicious, but I wish the cafe had breakfast burritos or at least some fresh fruit. read more

So glad we found this listing on Yelp. We made for the Main Cup after leaving Boulder this morning. We're heading east with our golden doodle and we enjoy finding new places to stop. Daphne at The Main Cup welcomed all of us! The coffee was great, as advertised and we talked Goldendoodles over our flat whites. Wow! My husband and I wanted coffee and this cute little place came up. It was 1:29 and it showed the closing time as 1:30. I called and Daphne said she would stay open. We were 18 minutes away. Small town for ya and you will not be disappointed with the coffee or service. We will stop here on every trip through here on I 70! Ends up we know Daphne's neice in Summit county.
