So after I had been to the shoe zone in the penny meadow shopping centre I found this one and went…read morein, within two minutes of being there the assistant asked if I needed any help so I asked whether they had a size 7 in a slip on with the ornamental buckle on the side in black and he went to go have have a look and low and behold he did, however the size 7 was slightly too big for me so I asked if he had the same shoe in a size 6, which he did. Now I must admitt that the service I got from this chap was extremely good and I will most definetly be going back to him no doubt about it

However, customer service was great, and since I have a loyalty card I got a free sample with my purchase. I also had to collect a package that I had ordered online, no problems and great customer service there too.

Personally speaking, I'm not keen on the layout of the shop. It's not very pushchair friendly, with the tiny lifts, stupid couple of steps at the back end, revolving doors at the back The different departments sort of blend into each other too so it's not always easy finding what you're looking for. That said, you can get some good bargains and those hard to find buys (hats for weddings, etc) are usually hiding away somewhere ! There's a cafe and toilets which is handy if you need a break.

Until Hastings finally gets a Primark, this is probably as close as you'll get !
