STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I am not sure what happened, they used to be really good. They cancelled us in November of 2024 for nonpayment. We could not get anyone to tell us why our submissions for payment were not going through. They always said "we'll call you back" After 3 months of continuous calling, we gave up trying to get an answer. Then in September of 2025, they ACH'd, WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION OR PRIOR KNOWLEDGE, all of the premiums for our group from November 1st forward. Hmmm, didn't have a problem then did they? Still trying to get our money back which they keep promising "at the end of next week". read more

This company is the worst. They don't handle your claims I have had claims since December of 2024. I have had expedited done continuously since June 2025. I have called constantly for two months to Customer Service with the same answer and NO HELP. Claims is looking at it. I have asked 5 times for a Supervisor to call me so I can get answers and they never call. I have been going round and round on this for ever. If someone reads this at LOOMIS please help me. read more

I am having so much difficulty getting this company to pay anything even though it costs almost $200 a month. I could have used the money to pay the bills myself and saved myself a huge headache. I'm going to keep trying to he my bills paid but it's looking pretty hopeless and I'm starting to realize that it looks like I'm going to have to pay them myself. I called Loomis in September and asked them what did they pay this year. Their answer was nothing. I have been to the doctor more than once this year. I'm so disappointed in this company. To top it off they send me a message that is time to reenroll. FTS... it will be a cold day in h before I ever enroll in their company again. read more

I have never seen a company like this. I have my company's health insurance through them. I have been trying to get at least a phone call from them to discuss other options for over a month. Nothing. No call. Absolutely nothing. I am being forced to cancel our Blue Cross and look for another broker. If I ran my business like this I wouldn't have a business. read more

I have been contacting The Loomis Company (approximately every two weeks) since early July 2024 even though I shouldn't have to. Each time I call to check the status of my reimbursement and pre-determination, the result is "give it 10 to 14 days for a response." In addition, the claim and the pre-determination have 'supposedly' been escalated at least three times since early August 2024. To date, there has been no response. As a member, this extremely poor customer service experience is unacceptable and leaves much to be desired. When you see this company affiliated with anything, stay away or look for something better. Anything and I do mean anything is better than this. read more

I have never seen such a careless and irresponsible insurance company in my life. My fiance and I paid 580.00 a month for 3 years. never had claims until I needed them. I have a 17,000 hospital bill they wont touch. I have over 27,000 in medical bills that just showed up on credit and mind you we had them 2 years before any claim. Its been a year after I canceled policy and they are not acknowledging one bill. I have sent them the bills numerous times by email and fax they have ruined my credit like a lot of other self employed people I know and now this policy was taken out in 17 we are in 21 and I was on hold for 3 hours total in one day and now there asking for all doctors I had prior to taking out policy. its unbelievable. They claimed they have mailed and emailed out form, There liars!!!!!!!!!! Don't do it! And read reviews people are going through the same thing.... so sad read more

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! After a year of paying $59 each month, these crooks only paid for half my crown and paid NOTHING on cleaning....

I recently cancelled my policy for so many reasons. Do not use them. Anyway, that's in another review. I sent in my cancellation email, to the correct address.. and was charged again three weeks later even though the agent on the phone had assured me of my cancellation, provided I sent the email.. which, again, I did. To the correct address. On the phone again, 45 minutes on the phone, confirming my account and all, and I'm telling them that I have other bills to pay! And a surprise bam! 120$ gone is kind of a bad thing for folks who aren't rich. What was I told? "The bad timing is your fault, we are slow to respond because of the holidays." Thanks, you @$$holes. It's MY fauly I'm overdrawn because YOU didn't process my cancellation email for 3 WHOLE WEEKS after I had sent it in. And now.. my refund? When is it coming? 10-15 business days is what I was told, 3 weeks ago. Instead of getting my refund, you helped yourselves to another check and then told me I'm to blame for the bills that will now be late because of your error. What a brilliant company. read more

I should have never signed up for insurance with Loomis. The only reason I did was because they are recommended for short term insurance by Blue Cross Blue Shield. I had stomach pain issues and tried to hold off as long as I could but they got so bad I had to go to the doctor. I called Loomis to ensure it was covered and was assured it was covered and my out of cost would be my deductible. They lied. They covered $115 and I am stuck with the rest. They said it was a preexisting condition and not covered. I mentioned how I spoke with a representative prior to going in and told him everything and asked what was covered and what he had said. I was put on hold and when she retired she stated some basic cover their ass law jargon on how what they say is not a quote and subject to change. gf.me/u/y8dpzu read more

I wish that I could give this company a negative star rating. Their website does not work. The customer service representatives must go through specialized training in lying. I have a claim that is over three months old that is pending. They have asked me for all types of information which has been submitted and they are still saying that it is waiting to be processed. I call weekly and they say it's being escalated. you cannot speak to a supervisor nor is there a policy on how to file a formal complaint. This company is a fraud an I will be reporting the to the Texas Department of Insurance. I would not recommend this company go with AFLAC. read more

Last year I had to have a heart Cath. Finally a year later Loomis settled my bill and paid about $8000 of a nealry $50,000 Bill. It was re processed and still no other claim was paid. They said the :usual and customary" cost was only about 50% of the bill charged. I am in the process of filing an appeal. They have refused to call the hospital and try to negotiate and the hospital' billing dept. will not call the insurance company and are threatening to send me to collections. I call every two weeks to check on the status. I also am the agent that sold myself this policy. I will not be marketing this product anymore. The Loomis Company is an insurance SCAM!!! I am reporting them to PA Insurance Board! My husband Signed up Dec 13 2019, in Jan 2020 went to Dr. was sent for MRI and to see a surgeon. Received a Explanation of Benefits on 2/27/2020. Kootenia County Medical has not received payment of any of my bills as of today May 20, 2020. This is a 6 month insurance plan. Yesterday 5/20/2020 I receive a "Pre-Existing" form to fill out. I call Loomis and they inform me I'm in Pre-Existing investigation, just like all the reviews I've read said they would do. My policy ends in June 2020 and not 1 of my medical bills or portion of my medical bills since Jan has been paid. The Loomis Company will put you in a Pre-Existing "To Infinity and Beyond" to the end of your policy investigation. You will waste $200+ a month and get nothing in return. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! SCAM!!! Go look on their reviews multiple people are saying the same thing. Check out the complaints on BBB! Check out the reviews on yelp! read more

Unfortunately, I saw these reviews after I signed up. All claims cancelled for pre-existing conditions...even a dog bite. Paid into my plan for two years and all they covered were my contacts. I kind of want to fly to their headquarters and slap them around for screwing people over for a living. I paid in nearly $5,000 and am now stuck with $15,000 in unpaid medical bills. Classic run-around. Still waiting to see if it is an actual "scam" as described by others, but this company (which is contracted to process claims under my dental insurance) should not be allowed to ever use the words Customer Service. This insurance company is a Scam. It does not honor any policies. I have this insurance with my job. I went to the doctor for a routine check-up for my blood pressure pills. I received a 412.16 because this company will not respond to the claim. This insurance company is a scam!! They haven't paid on 1 claim and classified all our claims as pre-existing condition. They didn't even pay for my husband's yearly wellness check. I had 2 ER visits, one after a car accident and one over some severe stomach pain. They are both being classified as pre-existing. Ive been under review for a year and had to provide medical history for last 7 years and they continuously say a doctor hasn't submitted paperwork. Every time i followup with doctors they give me exact dates of when medical history was provided. Loomis doesn't want to pay and are giving me the run around. I have a stack of bills and currently being sent to collections over this issue. I've spent countless hours on the phone over this matter and I'm so over it but I will continue to pursue them until they pay. SCAM SCAM SCAM! read more

NEVER use this insurance company!! I wish I would have checked Yelp first, as you can tell by the other reviews this company is scam. I paid for over a year of dental insurance but only went to the dentist once at the end of that year for a basic cleaning. They barely covered $50 of the bill and later retracted that amount leaving me responsible for the entire invoice. They literally covered nothing, but I paid on time every month for over a year. Save your money, DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!! If I could select a no star rating I would, one star is too good for them. read more

The Loomis Company is stating that reissue of my checks are on Alabama Unclaimed Property because a year had lapsed since original issue. I searched numerous times without finding them. When I originally spoke with a representative of The Loomis Company, she told me that if I sent copies of the checks that had not been cashed, which at that time was less than a year from original issue, they would re-issue the checks. I sent them on November 16, 2021 by certified mail and have proof of the day that it was sent. At the time that I sent them and they received the certified letter, it had not been a year since the issue of the checks. The next year I received a letter dated February 21, 2022 stating that a year had lapsed and they could not re-issue the check. This is a failing on their part. It seems like an intentional delay. They failed to refund my money which is all I would like in order to get resolve. I paid for the insurance. This company is not reputable, in my opinion. If they had not put checks at the bottom of the statements, but had sent them separately, this would not have even happened. I only keep the statements for reference. I did not even notice them until I was organizing my files and shredding older paperwork. read more

***SCAM*** - I would give a 0 if that were possible. This company is a scam - don't bother buying health insurance with them as you'll just be throwing the monthly premium money into the trash. I missed the open period signup and bought one of Loomis' pricier plans ($200+ monthly premium) for several months, and during that time, had to go to a clinic several times for urgent care (it was definitely not a pre-existing condition). All the bills were rejected by Loomis, because they quote, "Your claims denied as not a covered benefit of your plan." I read through their Schedule of Benefits booklet and didn't see any reason for the denial. Contacted them multiple times asking details about why my claims were denied, and never got an answer. You might as well spend the money for premiums on the actual medical bills because Loomis sure isn't going to pay anything for you. read more

Worthless. These are essentially worthless and dangerous policies to have. The coverage is pitched as being useful for serious illness or injury. In fact, and as we learned the hard way, the coverage cannot even be described as minimal. It is a "discount plan" that includes some minimal cash payment. You are likely to be better off just paying cash for emergency services. I don't mean that as a sarcastic comment, it appears to be true. My wife's recent injury, requiring a visit to the ER, a one hour operation to repair a wound, and an overnight stay in a hospital leaves us with about $45,000 in hospital bills to pay. They pitch the policy to cover emergencies, when in fact, all coverage is minimal. Dangerous. Scary. Don't do it. read more

This insurance company is a total scam! Every claim I have had since getting the insurance, a year ago has not been paid. I had surgery last April, and it's still not paid! This company could not be less competent with every single thing they do. I have years worth of examples from: having to re-process 12 claims in 6 months, given info that was verified 3 times (once even conferenced in provider) to still be inaccurate costing me over $1,000, fighting now for over 13 months to get money back from providers because they screwed up all the claims for half if 2019, $3,000, customer service promises to fix an issue and I am left to do it every single time (56 calls to resolve issues not to mention wait times)!! If I had any say in it, I would tell any company to not use them to "save money" because what you will lose is frustrated employees. Oh and they will never tell you when you hit your out of pocket maximum either since paying 20% of everything and copays will get you there quick!!! read more

Hate to say it, but I have to agree with everyone else. this policy SUCKS. I have had the plan for a year. In June my doctor said my PSA level was up. I went to a urologist. On his referral. They found prostate cancer and I had it taken out. SO far, they have paid almost NOTHING. Even my referral to the urologist has been denied. NO, not denied. Just delayed. For 7 months and counting. Delayed for a "pre existing Review". They say they are reviewing, but they review, they review, they review. they never finish, and the doctors are waiting to be paid. Eventually, after MANY phone calls, I think they will NEVER finish the review or pay these guys, so I'll pay them. The insurance was of no benefit for most of my bills. NONE. In fact it was a DETRIMENT for my hospital bill. The hospital said my policy paid very little, and if I used it my cost would be $60,000 minus their discounting it to $45,000 and they would pay $1,000 of that and I would pay $44,000. But if I did the "self pay" option, as self pay is $12,000. So it was better to NOT use the insurance, but pay myself, and I saved more money. Why am I paying monthly fees?? Granted, the hospital bill is another subject, but tht is not for this review. Bottom line is they seem to find excuses to not pay anything out and I feel like this company is just scamming me for premiums. They are lower than other companies, but NOT WORTH IT in my opinion. :-( read more
