If you're down to scrounge, this place might be for you (I'd just urge you to wash your hands after). That said, I specifically went here today because I needed a stapler. Mine went missing when I moved (probably in some box I've yet to unpack in my storage unit), and there's zero need to purchase a brand new stapler when I know I can get an old reliable Swingline from a thrift place like this (plus, I remembered on my first amble through here that they had a whole basket of staplers). Sure enough, I was able to acquire a stapler. But you can bet your ass that I brought along some staples to test out said staplers... the first one I picked up had a busted spring, but the second was fully functional. Both had been priced at $3. I mention this simply as a word of warning to consider testing before you buy.) I also picked up a bobbin thread case and a quart sized bag of crayons (both priced at $3) while I was there. This place is good for finding the kind of craft stuff your granny would keep around at a low price. And honestly, you're doing the environment a BIG favor to snag this kind of thing off a thrift store shelf rather than "convenience buy" it off Amazon or whatever. You can save money and feel good about yourself. The rest of the store has stuff like glassware, clothing, kids stuff, and holiday decor. It's not all amazing stuff. I reckon a lot of folks donate stuff they don't care to sort through when an elderly parent finally kicks it. The employee behind the checkout counter was a little slow to bother acknowledging me, but once we were interacting, they were friendly enough and wished me a good day; seemed like they were happy I actually bought something instead of just browsing.

This is exactly the type of place I think of when I want to go thrifting. There is stuff in every nook and cranny and I probably made about 4-5 rounds throughout the whole place. The owner was very kind and had a beautiful cat that followed me around for a bit lol I spent $78 and got SO many treasures! If it were closer, I would go every week. I will be back here for sure. There's always something to find here! There's a lot of vintage, secondhand clothing here - and nothing is boring. Think bold colors and patterns, quirky designs, and out-there materials. Statement pieces for sure! There are certainly some staples as far as accessories and footwear goes, too. But much of the accessories are quirky and unique: think doll hands for earrings kind of vibe! There's a decent amount of knick-knacks and giftables here as well, that are more local artisan made or new. The store can feel a bit overwhelming at first entrance, so take it by section and putz with an open mind. Prices were on par with higher-end vintage stores, but they do run some sales a few times each year. There is a dressing room with a curtain for trying things on!

La Rue Marche is one of the few exceptions to the rule where I could wander around a store for hours. And in this case, I have over the years. Their clothes are adorable and inspire me to step outside of my fashion comfort zone, comfortably. They have many vintage pieces also have a collection of items that all flow very well together. In my mind I would like to copy and paste everything on hangers into my own closet. I'd be a very happy girl. But it doesn't stop there!
