Friendly staff. Nice thrift store, decent prices. I'll be back. They do good for the community.

Got a recommendation from another shop for this place and am I ever glad I did. Owner was friendly…read moreand helpful answering questions but left us to wander and wonder around the tons of variety. I wasn't looking for but found some beautiful jewelry and funny cards. I was about to try on ponchos and sweaters but an appointment kept me moving with only the jewelry and cards. There another location in Prescott, WI not as large as this one. Will check that out next time in Prescott. Really, a person could get a LOT of shopping done here

My girlfriend recommended we hit this boutique in Somerset while camping at Apple River. Cheryl ( I…read morebelieve was her name) enthusiastically welcomed us in. Told us about the deals she had going on and then let us alone to browse the rather large store. After a bit, she asked if she could help with outfit selections, etc. Then, she offered us a glass of wine for while we shopped! We had such a GREAT time browsing, mixing/matching clothing for our concert outfits. My sister has special needs, and I feel Cheryl picked up on that pretty quickly and was very sweet about how she dealt with her and helped her out. She found her an amazing outfit that really complemented her figure and age. All in all, we had such a fabulous experience and bought A LOT of cute clothes AND accessories!! I wish it were closer I'd have such a fabulous wardrobe!! And prices I thought were right in line if not a little more affordable than I had expected for a boutique. Wish we had taken photos of our outfits. I did get one of my sister

J & E is, basically, 2 large heated pole buildings that are packed with antique furniture. It's a residential neighborhood. The storage buildings are behind the house of Lonnie, the owner. Since this is his home, he's open by appointment. I didn't realize until I talked to him for a while that Lonnie used to be one of the owners of J & E in St. Paul. They were on Arcade, near the 3M plant for decades! This is where everything went after they closed - Lonnie's pole buildings. After decade in the business, Lonnie really knows his stuff. This stuff aint cheap. There's hardly anything under $1000. Many of the pieces are in the $3000, $4000, and $5000 price range. And some items are 6 figures, like huge early 1900s bars with carved wood and stained glass. If you like this style and if you have a big enough wallet, I suggest you stop by. Lonnie is getting up there in years. He won't be around forever. But you can buy it now and it's only a short drive from the Twin Cities. BTW, Lonnie is a really nice guy. Thumbs up! -Daddy Maxx Retro
