But the 25 minutes I spent in the "tube" was very stressful. Worse than expected. They ask you before if you're claustrophobic - who knows until you get in there? I had the prone position (lying down) type. (The sitting option is better, but I read the images are not as clear for the doctors.) I declined the use of blinders - but later I realized I wish I had them on. It's a very tight fit. But the worst is the noises made when the images are created by the MRI. And the noise cancelling ear muffs don't help much. It would have helped if I had taken a sedative beforehand. Or, better yet, have a little wine. (You could drink it in your car before you enter the building.) I'll do everything in my power to never have another MRI !

But the date keeps getting pushed farther out with no explanation except they are swamped. I have a doctor appt coming up. I have told them that but it doesn't seem to matter. I even had my doctor's office call and they got the same run around. I think this is unacceptable. At least give me an honest answer instead of the standard lines.

I went online through my insurance web site and it was very confusing trying to figure out pricing because it showed the aver price of $1600 for the area but my first call to verify the price resulted in a $15000 quote, WTF. When my doctors office called to tell me that my order was ready and I explained the $15000 price quote and I was informed that's way out of wack. Thankfully she called me back with a recommendation for MDI and even called to verify a complete cost of under $170 for what I need, out of pocket mind you but I'm ok with that, she went way above to help me. The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience as painless as possible and out the door in 20 minuets. I would definitely stop back again becaus this was affordable compaired to quotes from the area medical facilities and my own insurance company with my co pay.

I had to visit Concentra for a pre-employment drug screen. Fortunately it didn't take too long but…read morethe overall experience wasn't something I'd care to repeat. Overall professionalism for the most part was "not good" - here are examples: 1. Seats in the waiting area are fabric. That is absolutely disgusting from a cleanbility and infection control perspective. If someone came in that was incontinent or had the flu and was sick, how would you clean that? Think about that next time you sit down. 2. The person who checked me in was pretty loud about why I was there. Not a real issue for me but if someone had an embarrassing condition, that wouldn't have been cool. HIPPA y'all. 3. They asked for my SSN on my intake form which I balked at - I showed a drivers license and I wasn't the one paying the bill. I'm not comfortable handing that info to strangers - why not let people input that themselves on the screen or find some other way to keep that info confidential? 4. The exam room wasn't especially clean - there was some pee on the toilet seat. Again - infection control and cleaning issues. The people at the front desk weren't especially nice but the clinician that handled the actual test was really pleasant. You can tell this is a for-profit clinic as they are definitely cutting corners. If you're going here for employment screens, well - you probably don't have a choice. If you're coming here for urgent care or something like that, I'd recommend choosing somewhere where you are less likely to pick up a healthcare acquired infection.

I've been to this location twice, once with an appointment and once as a walk-in. The first time…read more(walk in) it took a long time to get started, but I expected that it was due to my being a walk-in. Today my daughter and I had noon appointments. At 12:45 my daughter left, she hadn't been given her iv yet. I started my drip at 1, an hour after my appointment time. With that said, if you have the time, the staff is courteous and willing to help. They check in often to offer blankets, snacks, tea etc. Bottom line, I will likely go back, but only on days when I have nothing else to do.
