Not a fan of this outdated salon and won't be coming back or recommending it to a friend. If you love your hair, don't come here!

Avoid this place. There are plenty of fantastic hairdressing places around whistler that provide…read moreextremely high-quality haircuts for ~$10 more than what she charges (Farfalla comes to mind). She claims to be an expert hairdresser who has done this for decades, yet I received the worst haircut of my life from this place - very short sides, top that does not blend in at all and just kind of flops around unless I hold it together with product. In fact I need to use mountains of hair product just to keep the whole thing looking sane. Her excuse is that its meant to be this way, somehow, and that it will look great after 4-6 weeks of growth. I sincerely hope she is right. When someone is claiming to have been cutting hair for decades, ask yourself why they are still cutting hair out of the Whistler equivalent of a back alley and not a high-end establishment by now. I was a bit wary going in. It is essentially located in some very out of the way area in whistler, and she is the only employee there (and I assume owner). The establishment is small and extremely cluttered - my impression is that it is meant to be passed off as the "flair" of the place, but it falls flat and simply looks unprofessional. You will notice a slight twinge of cigarette smoke in the air when you walk in. Not. Reassuring. Instead of being able to tell her what you want to do with your hair, you get shown a placard with five images of male models with different hairstyles, and you need to choose one of them. In her words "I don't do the styling, I just cut the hair". This struck me as odd, but whatever, and stupidly I continue. I knew when she started that this was going to be one of those haircuts where I need to do a ton of maintenance afterwards. Immediately and without hesitation she takes the electric razor with the maximum extension piece and starts quickly shearing the side of my head like a sheep. I tensed up a bit because I am apprehensive about where this is going. To get an idea of what the final result was, imagine really short sides that does not blend in with the top at all. Instead, there is this abrupt line that separates the sides from the top hairline, and it just looks ridiculous unless, again, I use a ton of product. In the end, I booked an appointment with one of the more reputable hair salons in Whistler (Farfalla) for later that afternoon to fix this.

The walkway was not very well cleaned of snow and for us golden Agers this wasn't a good thing. You check-in after walking a couple hundred yards from where you park, less if you're dropped off at the turnaround. One area going slightly downhill could use a railing for snowy rainy days. You are checked in and given two towels and a rope and a key to a locker. You need to bring a swimsuit and sandals. After changing you are than led to a room for an hour massage. I had asked for a Deep message and what I got was far from that. Very disappointing!!! My wife had the same experience. Next you shower and go to the different outside areas. I started with the cold pool then the hot pool. Next the sauna on to the Eucalyptus room and the Relaxation Solarium. It's a beautiful property and they stress QUITE! The one pool with a waterfall was closed for maintenance. I like the Eucalyptus Room and Solarium the best. After showering, we had a very good lunch. The overall experience was really spoiled by the poor massages!

The therapists knew their stuff and knew how to get at problem areas. Usually spa massages are just okay - this one was worth it. The spa reminded me of places in Iceland - lots of areas to take on different hot and cold therapies and relax in between. It was great to have a silent and digital detox rule to not hear everyone else's conversations. We went on a sunny day which made the hot areas a bit too hot for my personal taste, and nervous about sunscreen sweating off - but I'm not about to complain about being outside in a beautiful area with mountain views. Also very reasonably priced given the quality of the experience.

This is my second time at the spa and 1st time staying at the lodge . What a beautiful property. We booked into the spa to treat ourselves . We went in early to get our sandals and robes and take advantage of the facilities. We started off in the rooftop Hot Tub which was a bit cooler than usual but with the sunny -2 temperature it was a great start to the day . We then took a break in the fantastic steam room, which was so relaxing . Moving into the relaxation room we enjoyed herbal teas and flavoured water while we waited for our services. I had the Nita Lake Signature service with Katie . A full body salt scrub , followed by a mud wrap. While wrapped up and absorbing the mud you are treated to a fantastic mead massage . Then whisked off to the showers to clean off with your skin feeling buttery soft . Back into the treatment room for an amazing 1 hour full body massage . This is the perfect way to spend a day even if you don't ski .

I've lived in Vancouver for 3 yrs and struggled to find a good hairdresser. I arrived with long…read morehair and it gradually got shorter (now a short bob) NOT out of choice. Every hairdresser I went to tried to do something that was either technically out of their skill range or they heard my request completely different, giving me something completely different!! Eventually, I travelled to San Francisco where I knew an excellent hairdresser. She gave me one of the best cuts ever - I loved it. However, travelling to SF a few times a year is not financially viable. Eventually, It needed a trim and nervously I knew I'd have to go to a Vancouver hairdresser. Oh! No! Not a good idea - she tried to follow the style but couldn't and decided to do her own thing and messed up my "One and Only wonderful haircut in 3 years". I then decided to try Sukis: all of them Granville, downtown, Kits.. It was "hit & miss"...and very expensive. On the first cut it was ok but I still had to go back for a 2nd cut to get it right. Then out of pure luck I found "Lawrence Hart" and he understood exactly what I was requesting. He listened, gave me his honest opinion of how it would look and how he could help my hair look thicker, and why a certain type of cutting method works better for my quality of hair. I am overjoyed to have found him. If you are coming from London UK & want a good hairdresser who speaks your language, is v skilled and honest then Lawrence is the one to go to. Don't do as I did and try many different stylists in hope that you'll get a good cut. Lawrence worked in London before moving to BC. He is based in Whistler and well worth a trip from Downtown. If you don't fancy driving go with: Epic rides they get you there in 75 mins direct from Burrard. I am so relieved that I can now go up to Whistler as and when I need a cut, and I can stop wondering when I can afford my next trip to San Francisco!! You'll find Lawrence at www.farfellahair.com an Eveda salon upstairs next to Crystal Lodge, Village Green Whistler. Thank you Lawrence for restoring my hair, a wonderful cut, and returning my faith in hairdressers in BC.
