Update: I ordered The Local Wrap for carryout today. When I went into pay, the girls were right on top of my to-go order and even let me sample the bourbon sauce they were using for the special today. They said the owner buys a specific bourbon sauce from somewhere because it's the only 1 they like and will use it for burgers and chicken. Today the special was a crispy chicken bourbon sandwich with bacon, onion rings, and bourbon sauce. The sauce was sooo good. I was definitely kickin myself for not askin what their special was today because I would've definitely ordered that over the wrap since it's always on the menu. I will definitely ask the next time I call what their special is and if they have bourbon sauce. The Local Wrap is good, but I don't know if I'd order it again. I don't hate it, I just don't love it. I think it might be the avocado that I'm not loving since I'm not a huge fan of it anyways.

This restaurant is just getting started so only one visit. It's replacing The Palace. We had a really nice breakfast. We like a regular egg breakfast. Nothing fancy but prepared well. My husband is fussy about his eggs. I like "over easy" and he means easy. The eggs were done properly. We were very happy with quality. The coffee is good too. The other menu items look really good but we stuck with our usual. It's nice and clean and updated. Our service was good. I'm very happy that it is doing well.

Great food and great service! I had the bacon breakfast bowl which was delicious, but my favorite was the cinnamon roll that just melts in your mouth. Staff was super attentive making sure we always had water and coffee, despite it being a busy Saturday morning. 10/10 would recommend!

Best cinnamon roll I've ever had in my life. Also the portions are amazing here especially for the price! Staff is very friendly, delivered excellent and quick service regardless of it being a bit busy. Definitely recommend to everyone and will be coming back soon!

Good food, good service at a good price. Old school diner vibes and the staff is very personable.

The owner went out of her way to make me feel like a member of the Marshall family. She was professional, charming, and a great role model for her plugged in employees. I will never intentionally drive through Marshall without supporting this cafe with spectacular drinks and treats, but more importantly, MVP level human beings. I was in Rome and Paris in 2024. Clean, welcoming, and chic. I chose to check this place because we love trying coffee shops, and it was a gift shop too. Hospitality. Super friendly and accommodating. Some tables inside at front, more in back, and one table outdoor Offerings. Standard coffee shop and upscale gift shop with Michigan made and vendors. There were unique gifts for entertaining, kitchen, stationery, and whimsy things. From the barista counter, we got an iced mocha and drip coffee. The condiment station had mini moos, but the barista offfered to give me real cream from a local dairy, Moo-ville Creamery. Good cream with the delicious coffee, Jamaicain Me Crazy. We also got an apple danish and egg bite. Sadly, they forgot the whip for the mocha, and heat the food items. Thankfully they fixed the issues when I brought it to their attention. Of Note and Last Impressions. Beautiful loo: clean, stocked, pretty decor. Street parking and lot parking near by. Overall, would return. Would recommend.

They have the best espresso in Branch County and I won't get my coffee fix from anywhere else. The shop is cozy and clean. Most of the staff seem to know their stuff and they've all been very professional and friendly. It's one of the most welcoming coffee shops I've ever been to, for sure. They sell Yoder's cinnamon rolls and they're sooooo good! 10/10 highly recommend. If my review was based solely off of what I've said so far, I'd give them 5 stars across the board. Unfortunately tho, I tried their breakfast this morning and wish I hadn't. I don't think anyone should pay $8.50 for the bagel sandwich I received this morning and hopefully these photos will help prevent others from feeling as disappointed as I do. My "everything" bagel had barely "anything" on it, meaning it was extremely hard to tell it was an everything bagel, it looked and tasted more like a plain bagel with a very thin layer of cream cheese on it. I know no one asked for my 2 cents and I don't want this to come off as if I know their business better than they do, because I don't, but if I were to be asked to give them a POSSIBLE solution to prevent this from happening in the future, I would suggest posting their food menu on a blackboard, with prices clearly written out, and where it's easy to read. The drink menu would be a perfect example of this if the prices were listed. A bonus would be if you had the menus & prices on your website as well so it's easy to find! I work in Coldwater and we order from you quite a bit and one thing we've all mentioned is wishing we could see a full menu so we know beforehand how much our orders are gonna cost and I know some of my coworkers have wanted to order food and didn't because they didn't see any prices listed. On a positive note, I absolutely love: -the hand written messages on every single cup. -the miniature Jesus keychains you sell. (My coworker talks about the ones she got from you quite often.) -how clean the entire shop is. -the sign above your bathroom sink. -you put a photo on your website that shows exactly what a drink is made up of, so people can actually see what the difference is between a latte and a cappuccino, etc.

A day at the lake deserves a treat for lunch, and after a quick trip up to Round Lake (next to…read moreDevil's Lake) this fall, my better half and I decided to grab a bite locally. The Sandbar Cafe was a new spot that we hadn't tried yet, and after perusing the menu, we decided to make that our stop for lunch. The idea of a soup/salad/sandwich combo in some permutation of those choices was the perfect thing. I decided to go really wild and try the quiche of the day, a leek and bleu cheese quiche, as well as a bowl of the sweet pepper soup. With both items warmed up, it was just the thing to chase the chill in the air away. If the stuffed sweet pepper soup is on the menu when you visit, order it with confidence. It was the perfect balance of a little sweet a tiny touch of heat, and hearty enough to be filling. The quiche wasn't my favorite (I think I'm just too partial to a quiche Lorraine to be adventurous with other ones), but it was still good. Served with a cookie on the side, it was a filling and delicious meal. The owner was friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for the menu and chit-chatting with us as we ate that day. At the end of the meal, she even offered to recycle my Diet Coke can from lunch that day -- the eco-friendly aspect definitely gave the place a boost in my mind! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to the lake, and another helping of that sweet pepper soup!
