I discovered this location when I needed an urgent care (they have one attached), and dang is it…read morethe best decision I've ever made. For context, I'm a medical school professor and very comfortable in a medical setting and know what is and is not acceptable behavior. The PA I saw, Maddie, was personable, very informative, and actually listened... I know that should be what you expect at every doctor's office, but with privatization of insurance that's not always what you get. Heck, she listened and cared more than my students who are REQUIRED to to pass (ha!). She was thorough, listened to all concerned addressed them properly and provided all necessary important information including referrals and follow-ups. She was also incredibly smart and knowledgeable about a lot of topics, and you can tell because she doesn't throw a ton of big words at you to seem smart, it was demonstrated in her ability to describe things at a level that people without medical experience could understand. HIGHLY recommend. The medical assistant, Keniesha, who came in to draw blood and run an EKG was polite, knowledgeable and professional while making me feel at ease during understandably uncomfortable tests. Office staff is friendly, polite, helpful, and great at getting you all set up and going. I was taken back on time for my appointment, no unnecessary waiting (although it's totally understandable when it happens) and a very proficient & excellent overall experience

There was a line formed and the clinic did not open until 8:00 a.m. Allyson was at the front door in the cold, allowing patients to sign up for their clinic visit. Allyson called me by phone, as I waited in my warm car, when it was time for my appointment. You are required to wash your hands before coming into the waiting area; and, of course wear a mask which must cover your mouth AND your nose. Conrad was the associate who administered my Covid-19 test. Conrad explained the procedure (he also took my temperature and pulse oximetry measurements) and performed my nasal Covid-19 test. Conrad was professional, reassuring and kind as was Allyson. The pandemic has been horrible but these two associates made this process easy and stress free. I thank them for their hard work and dedication for risking their lives to assist the public.

**Dangerous Negligence and Unacceptable Dismissal -- Avoid at All Costs**…read more I went to Riverview Urgent Care in Westfield on 4/11/2026 with an extremely sore, swollen throat. I specifically explained to the staff that I was having severe difficulty swallowing both food and water, and I mentioned my history of getting canker sores. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) who came in barely gave my mouth a brief look. They ran absolutely zero diagnostic tests--no strep swab, no influenza test. Instead, they quickly dismissed me with a prescription for a viral medication. When I pushed back and reiterated my inability to swallow even water, the NP looked at me and said, **"You can go three days without water."** Completely unacceptable and dangerous advice. By 3:30 AM the next morning (4/12/2026), my symptoms escalated into extreme swallowing and breathing issues. Knowing I would likely just be gaslit again if I returned to Riverview, I rushed to the IU North Emergency Room in Carmel. The difference in care was night and day. The ER doctor immediately examined my throat, suspected a bacterial peritonsillar abscess, and quickly confirmed it with actual diagnostic testing. I was admitted on the spot, put on an IV with heavy-duty antibiotics, steroids to reduce the extreme swelling, and morphine to manage the excruciating pain. I had to stay overnight just so they could monitor my condition and restore my basic ability to breathe, eat, and drink. All of this excruciating pain, hospital time, and expense could have been avoided if the Urgent Care staff at Riverview had just done their due diligence and ran a simple strep test. Because they refused to do the bare minimum, I developed life-threatening abscesses in my throat. If I hadn't trusted my gut and gone to a completely different hospital where concerned medical professionals actually listened to me, I would have been in very big trouble. There is a very clear reason this urgent care has low ratings. I will never be back. Heed the warnings and take your medical needs elsewhere.

At first, I had a hard time finding the office and went to the wrong building. A staff member was kind enough to direct me to the correct building. When I arrived at the gastroenterology office, I went to the check in window and Allison greeted me with a smile. She took my information and told me to wait until my name was called. I did not wait even five minutes before Jasmine called my name and took me in the back. Jasmine was very professional and kind and took my blood pressure and weight information. She asked me the triage questions and then told me to wait for Dr. Foster. Dr. Richard Foster came in and introduced himself to me. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. He explained the situation with my diverticulosis and what impact it has on my colon. He went over all the details regarding my colonoscopy and what the procedure will consist of that day. He was excellent in his explanation and very concise. The whole staff were very professional and helpful in making my appointment worthwhile and productive. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Foster handling my colonoscopy and explaining everything to me. This was very worthwhile and I'm happy to have Dr. Foster as my gastrenologist. It was a good visit.

Where do they get these people that work in Breast Centers??? Everyone needs to model their hiring…read moreprocess or something, because yet again, I am in such awe of my level of care today. I needed a biopsy on a lymph node quickly, and this location was able to get me in quickest, before the holidays. I arrived early, for my 8:30 a.m. appointment. Check in, with a very nice woman, was prompt. I was called back about 15 minutes later. I am so extremely thankful that my nurse was a wonderful gal named Cassie. She is absolutely excellent and her "bedside manner" rocks. Once I was changed into my gown for my procedure and she could see how heavily tattooed I am, she began telling me about how she'd had a scare similar to mine, and it ended up being tattoo ink in her lymph node. We appear to be fairly close in age, and both have tattoos from 15-20 years ago. She definitely helped put me at ease and remained upbeat, yet extremely caring thru the entire procedure. My doctors name was Matthew. He was a really nice guy. As we were getting started, I let him know that I have severe anxiety and what it looks like when I am about to have a panic attack and what I do to work thru it. He let me know how familiar he is with anxiety and reassured me that they would help me get thru it. Sure enough, my anxiety began to get the best of me. Cassie picked up on it quickly and began gently talking me thru what to do. No one has ever told me when this happens to me that I shouldn't close my eyes. I often pass out with my panic attacks. She kept gently encouraging me to keep my eyes opened and focused on any one thing and helped guide my breathing. I was pouring sweat, so she had the other nurse in the room get me a cold rag and had her help refresh it to keep it cold, for my forehead. Everyone was so great with me and so respectful of my boundaries and had true "caregiver" attitudes towards me. Someone in healthcare, PLEASE hear me! This is how you treat patients. Especially patients with trauma histories. Would you believe they discovered tattoo ink in my lymph node? Yup! Nurse Cassie called it. My sample was sent off for testing and then I was given another mammogram. Cassie did my mammogram and then took me to have my vitals checked. Once my blood pressure went back to normal, I was allowed to get dressed and go about my way. Stellar care. I absolutely could not ask for better or find a single item to critique.
