This is very nearly the only rated liquor store in the area. With so many businesses closed, and the reviews mostly quite old, I looked for the website and it wasn't found. Was looking for some good wine over Thanksgiving weekend in Vicksburg - sadly I didn't bring enough. Having lived in Oregon and spent time in France I'm maybe *slightly* picky about my wine and have a preference for Pinot Noir, Champagne, or wines with a level of complexity. Strangely enough, "The Liquor Store" in an unassuming strip mall location was the best choice I could have made. Not perfect, but bigger than you would expect and a pretty nice selection - on the Oregon side they had everything from Erath orange label (very good juice for the price point) to a low end but very good Anne Amie to even Ken Wright single vineyard Pinots. Full selection of spirits as well, could have used more good Fever Tree mixer options but I really can't complain. Definitely seems to be the best wine selection in Vicksburg, very glad I found this place! read more

Definitely at least a four-star place. I just moved here from Florida, and it's not Total Wine or something like that--that chain is freakin' great--but for an independently-owned liquor store in Vicksburg, Miss., this establishment is really, really good. They have an excellent, varied, and well-chosen selection given the size of the place and Mississippi's arcane and sometimes bizarre liquor laws and distribution practices, the prices are very reasonable, the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. These folks know what they're doing, and they really are trying to make sure that even in a place as small as Vicksburg, you can get some variety and the good stuff. You won't find *everything* you want here, probably--but if you can't find something really nice to sip on, no matter what your taste in booze, I'd be well shocked. (If you are struggling, ask the staff--they'll definitely be happy to help.) If you live in the area, this should be your go-to spot for alcoholic beverages. Highly recommended. read more

The Liquor Store is terrific! Owner Rujul Patel and his staff are great folks, and they keep the best inventory in Vicksburg. Prices are fair and the selection is broad. If you are a wine drinker you won't be disappointed, and the distilled spirits selection is also pretty amazing. read more
