After some storm damage to the house and…read morefiling a claim, I waited weeks for an appraiser, made a pile of calls trying to get the appraiser there, given a bunch of excuses for him to show up and then he had have numerous reasons why nothing would be paid. The funniest part was when the appraiser admitted he couldn't even authorize payment, it had to go to someone higher up and the chances of anything getting paid were less than 10%. And for roof damage, the split my roof into 6 sections and I was told that 50% of the section would have to be damaged for replacement.... of only that section. I swear, he counted the total tiles of each section, then the damaged tiles and said that my damage was below my deductible (there's another scam) and I should "hire a friend that's a roofer and buy him some beer". Low rates at first then just steadily kept going up. If I had realized that they insured on bad faith (look up that lawsuit in Texas) I would have dropped them years ago. Now read on for someone to make excuses and say they want to make it right.... clue: that's only for PR. There is no making it right.

NEVER was I told it was going to be marked as late when changing my due date. So I go to renew, & my discount for on time payment was removed. I was never told this would happen. So my new premium went up $25.00. WHAT? I drive to work 6miles a Week & they wanted me to pay $161.00 a Month?? All becuz Allstate Billing never gave me correct information, twice! The stress & worry they caused me was Inexcusable, Cruel & Ridiculous! Allstate doesn't care at all about their customers! What company would treat their customers like this. The owner, Tim didn't even have the professionalism to call me once about this. I called 3 times to speak to him & was told he's "out of town OR very busy". What, does he work 24/7, he can't return 1 phone call to a Customer that is getting treated so poorly??? I filed a complaint with the Insurance Company Of Iowa & the BBB! This situation was unbelievable as it went on. They even sent me a Cancellation Notice the 2nd time I had to change my due date! Ya! Then told me it was sent in error. Horrible agents. They allowed someone to take over my policy and change the address and phone…read morenumber, then file a claim. I discovered it only by seeing it on my app. After resolving the problem and getting a new policy number, they had problems with restoring my 'Full Pay' payment plan. They kept changing it back (or never changed it in the first place) to the more expensive monthly charge. This was MONTHS ago, I thought it was resolved because my app said the Full Pay plan payment was scheduled and they had my bank info to take the payment. Suddenly I get a letter that says I am being canceled for non-payment when the automatic payment isn't due to be taken out for several days! I call them, and all I get is voicemail and they never call back! I've been with this agency for years, initially when they were here locally in Rochester MN, but now they transferred my business to their office several hundred miles from me in IOWA! Allstate has been good insurance, but this agency hires inept idiots.
