This place has been remodeled and it reopened not too long ago. My family and I went last weekend after spending the day in Miami. The ambiance was spectacular but the service was an issue. There were 3 of us and we ordered three orders of chicken and red velvet waffles. Well, the waitress said she thought we said we only 1 order of chicken and waffles. Every time I go into this location, the Manager, Who also reminds me of my Father so much is always very welcoming, and the staff is always very friendly and greets every guest individually as we walk in. The atmosphere is always very relaxing and gives a mom and pops vibe. Which just means that because this is a food chain restaurant the Customer Service and quality of service doesn't change. I always get the shrimp dinner with two sides, which is very pricey, but seafood is typically pricey. A trick I learned over the years which a lot of the cashiers don't tell you is that if you order the Seafood rice its considered as a additional side so you can still get your Two-sides with any dinner. Because they will still charge you separately for the about $6 for the Seafood rice. Everything is always fresh and on point. I only had one incident and it wasn't even at this specific location. I cannot stress enough. Each location is ran completely different. I've been to several different locations and the location in Miami Gardens is my favorite though this restaurant is super pricey, and I never spend under six bucks. If you love well seasoned food, this place is for you. Inside has vibrant colors, plenty of seating & up to date music but a lot of people do to-go orders. The lobster bites are hands down my favorite since it's hard to find good ones--pricey but worth it. The fried shrimp are a cheaper option & just as good. Their french fries are my favorite side. The mac & cheese is probably my second fav, it's good but nothing mind blowing. Same goes for the greens & string beans. I do love the pre packaged dipping sauce & their mystery drink is a nice sweet treat. Make sure you understand exactly what you're ordering because I've seen them refuse to take food back several times despite it being their fault sometimes. I'll probably try their wings next time but I did see a customer (who requested light sauce) be given wings drenched in sauce. No offense to DJ Khaled, but this restaurant doesn't live up to the hype at all! This particularly location has terrible parking.. They definitely have a variety of menu items, which could either be a good or bad thing.. Our waitress was a sweet girl, but our service was extremely slowww for there not to be that many customers in the restaurant! I think some of their options are overpriced, but I like that the combos come with 2 sides (the best deal is the chicken wings combo). My husband ordered the fried shrimp. Those were pretty good too! When we got inside, I was saddened seeing that the restaurant was only doing carry out. I had no desire to eat in the car but that was our only option. We ordered our food and had it out in about 10 minutes. The Mac and cheese the greens the conch was... mediocre. The meat was barely there with all the fried breading. There was no flavor whatsoever and I was left super unsatisfied and didn't scratch my conch craving. The sauce was delicious and wish I could get it here myself. And the mystery drink was absolutely incredible. It's like all the koolaid memories from my childhood mixed into one. Came here for my second time and I will say the food is good! There is usually a line, but they are willing to text you when your table is ready. Their mystery drink is super good (full of sugar) . I got wings and the sauce is spicy but also sweet to be buffalo sauce. I loved it! My partner got chicken and waffles. The waffles are red velvet. I love sides, I'm a sides girl and the mix of macaroni and yams was so perfect. She was witnessed being very aggressive towards another waitress. She did not repeat the order. She did check on us once during the course of the meal. No management walking around doing table checks or anything. We waited almost 30 mins for the check and another 25 for the waitress to come collect the payment. The food is mediocre at its best. Only thing worth getting would be the salmon tacos and possibly the yams. Rest of food such as the Mac and cheese and tilapia didn't have a drop of seasoning. Added hot sauce salt pepper and lemon to the fish just to give it some sort of flavor. I will give props for having security and nice set up. This has to be one of the most unorganized restaurants that I have ever been to! We get there and are told to wait outside and someone will call us. It was about a 15-20 minute wait before we were called in. We were seated at a table and told our waitress would be with us. We waited 20 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us. She was just going to take our drink order but we told her we wanted to order our food as well bc of the amount of time that it took her to get to us. It then took her 15 minutes to get the drinks and an additional 20 minutes to get the food. Which took us 10 minutes to not eat because of how nasty it was. She forgot 2 of our sides and when we asked about it she said "awww u sure are right my fault". When she brought the food out I asked for a Soda and she forgot about that. So I reminded her when she was getting the check and she said .."that right, my bad it's on the house". They had too many people waiting on food and not enough help. The chicken wings were so small! The were as small as the fork part that goes in your mouth! The Turkey wings were not cleaned they still had feathers on them that were just fried! My friends and I went to the Miami Gardens location. I paid $15.99 for lemon pepper wings and fries. There is a $3 up charge on all items you see on the menu. Upon arriving around 9pm in what seems to be not the best neighborhood, we (3 out-of-state) females were made to wait outside by armed security guard. We were the first in line and waited over 20 minutes before someone addressed us and where we needed to stand (some type of cone system). Apparently, you have to wait outside until summoned inside to just start your order. Another group with 6 persons came up after we did and since they were asked to be seated were allowed to go inside and make their orders ahead of us. Not to mentioned, there were several people who had been waiting for on or about 40 minutes and still hadn't received their orders. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, we decided to leave as the bad customer service and looking at the line of people waiting was just not worth our time or safety. My favorite dish is the fried conch dinner with Mac & cheese and corn. The conch is fresh and always perfectly cooked. Fried lobster is also a big hit here and people order it a lot. Also recommend the mystery drink which is a rainbow-colored virgin fruit juice. The place has dine in or take out. Place is usually packed at night but less busy during the day.
