Other than parking sometimes being impossible, not one of the bad reviews clicked with me after all those years. Some of the staff is volunteer, but mean-spirited?? never. Not one bad teacher yet -- all pros. $20 a class -- uh no, try 4 or 5, or zero.. but do keep up the bad reviews -- its getting kind of crowded with all us happy seniors.

Senior centers are a good thing, but the Culver City senior center is problematic. Well, the…read morebiggest problem is to join; you need cash, they don't take credit cards, and nobody uses checks anymore except maybe older seniors. Membership will run you $20, $5 for parking, and an additional fee for the gym. Another problem is quite a few classes are clicks, and they're not exactly welcoming to new people. Here's a big one to consider. If you plan on going to the gym, be prepared to pay more than $100 for an old boys club. Also, there is an additional fee for them depending on the class, so you're not just paying for membership. You're paying for the course as well. For instance, a yoga class can run you five bucks per class, but some classes can run you $10 or $20 per class.

Searching for places to go and things to do for a couple of my senior citizen friends, some who worked their whole lives but find themselves financially strapped, I checked out this senior center. First there is no longer any vans or other transportation to this or any other CITY OF LA Senior Center due to City budget cuts. Second, the only senior classes are EXERCIZE classes. Some of these classes are very reasonable - a dollar or two a class. Other classes, like YOGA, started out reasonable and have gone to $5 an hour class. THERE ARE NO CLASSES that are focused on ENRICHMENT for seniors. Don't know the process for getting a class going here, but most likely you have to present your idea and go through some sort of approval process. My senior friends say they miss classes they took in the past at Senior Centers such as creative writing, going to plays and discussing them, and working on knit and crochet projects with a leader and a group.

How sad there is only one other review. I live just a few miles from the NOHO Senior Center and…read morehave no idea of any activities. Whoever is in charge of this center should Google the Pasadena Senior Center. That's where I have to drive to for activities. The city of Los Angeles should be ashamed of their Recreation and Parks.

From the moment we met Dawna B., we knew we were in good hands - she was compassionate, professional, and walked us through every step with clarity and empathy. The entire team is attentive, warm, and truly cares about every resident's dignity and well-being. The staff consistently go above and beyond - they get to know each person individually, are responsive to needs and preferences, and always greet family and residents with a smile. My father's routine, grooming, meals, and engagement in activities have all been handled with genuine care. I'm so grateful to have found a community where my dad is happy, safe, and thriving. Thank you, CityView, for the exceptional care you provide!
