These truly give you a warm home feeling, from the convenience of parking to the wood fireplace and big living spaces. My family and I have lived here for a year and a half and love it! The office staff is very friendly and helpful. If you need to place a Work order it gets done within 24-48 hrs. Also the amenities are incredible! My family and I sit out on the court yard all year! There's a yearly heated pool and fire pits for the winter. I can't talk this place up enough. When we initially signed our lease last year it was only going to be for a year but after our year was up we couldn't pass this place up. So we signed again! I am writing this as I sit in bed listening to my downstairs neighbor blast their TV...again. Called the courtesy patrol over an hour ago, and nothing gets done. Do not move here. There is zero enforcement of their so called "quiet hours" and you are ignored when you complain. That's not all, the dumpsters are constantly over flowing, and broken sprinkler heads frequently waste who knows how many gallons of water by shooting it straight into the air. Not to mention the gates that are supposed to protect your vehicle are frequently broken for months at a time. For over $1600 per month for a half remodeled apartment, you can do much better. read more

I need to preface this by saying our apartment was okay. It looked really nice, but we did have a lot of spiders in the apartment in the summer (even after having our apartment sprayed for bugs 5 separate times). The real problem was the staff. They were awful. This is long and a little all over the place, but in short, we were lied to by the staff repeatedly, the staff doesn't keep up on much around the complex, and we saw a mouse by the front office. We got a dog about a month after moving in, and they disregarded the fact that the lease contradicts itself. I found a location that said we wouldn't incur extra fees, but they pointed out a spot that said we would and wouldn't offer any sort of remedy. They didn't take any stock of the dogs in the complex, so while playing with a few dogs in the complex, our dog got pinned by a more aggressive dog (who was not registered with the front office) and fractured our dog's front leg. Even a year later, from time to time, she limps for a few days because of this injury, and a vet has told us that this could continue to be an issue for years. When I told the staff that a bunch of dogs aren't registered with the front office (I saw Boxers, Pitbulls, and other restricted breeds), they said they're just service dogs (and then were surprised when we told them the dog lived in the apartment he lived in because no dog was registered there). Even after gyms had been allowed to open for months, they kept their fitness center closed because, as far as I can, they were too lazy to clean their fitness center. We moved in March 2020, asked in May about BBQ rules and were told that we were fine to get one, but the staff forgot to mention that they changed the rules in APRIL (it just happened) and that we wouldn't be allowed to keep it past our current lease. They don't monitor parking at all, and when the roads are icy, it would be very easy to lose a little bit of control and hit a car parking where they're not allowed to. In general, there is dog crap all over the place, but this is especially true in the "dog park" (a small dog run is a better description, its half turf and half concrete, not really suitable as a dog park, especially when that's the only area they're allowed off-leash in the community). There have been times when I've seen 5 separate piles of dog crap in the dog park. We told the front office about this, but nothing changed. As we were moving out, I saw a mouse running around by the front office. Anytime there was a problem, I would talk to the front office, but they never had authorization to do anything at all. The only thing they were authorized to do on their own was offer a slight decrease in my rent increase. The staff sent out my lease renewal offer less than a week before we had to give our notice that we'd be moving out (they later tried to say that they sent the offer a month earlier, but they sent a notice saying essentially that it would be coming soon, but there wasn't an offer of any kind), and they proposed an increase of $140 per month. When I said that was ridiculous, they instantly offered to have a $100 increase (apparently, this was previously approved by the management company). I said that was better but still not great, so I tried negotiating, but they didn't have any authorization and had to act as a middle man between me and Lyon Living. It took days to get responses, and our notice was due, and even while waiting on a response from their management company, the front office staff couldn't authorize an extension of a few days. Because of this, we turned in our notice saying we wouldn't extend our lease, we moved, and we're much happier (paying less in rent) at our new complex. In short, if you can be sure that you won't need to talk to the front office staff or have any issues at any point, then this could be a good place potentially. Realistically, everyone needs to talk to the front office staff at some point, so I'd recommend finding another apartment. You can pay the same amount (or even slightly less, like we did) and get the same quality of apartment with better service. read more

My son and I moved in Halloween! They have went out of their way to make us feel at home since we got here from Florida! Maintenance guys have been there any time we needed them, usually for simple stuff. And they always wave and say Hi. But the other day was my birthday, I'm an old man, retired, don't know anyone around here. But I got a bag of candy and a card wishing me a happy birthday from everyone here! Unfortunately my time at this complex has ended on a very upsetting and poor experience. I became a tenant here in 2020 and moved into a 1 bedroom apartment with my 6 month old Son. The tenant below me was a chain smoker and second hand smoke with seeping into my apartment and it was up to me to buy air purifiers and Ionizer just to make the place livable. It was a very sad time In my life as my Baby developed horrible asthma and would wake up having coughing fits from the smoke below us. (Which I would never even rented with the complex if I had known they allowed this) but Shelley sure never disclosed that to me while selling the apartment and sure didn't care what I was dealing with after many phone calls and inviting her to come smell the cigarette smoke. So we transferred, we moved into a two bedroom. Upon move in the blinds were falling in almost every room. Which creates a huge safety concern for my small child. At one point after another call that the blinds have fallen and was supposed to be fixed, I had the blinds fall on top of my head In the kitchen. Thankfully none of the heavy blinds fell on my small child. What's even worse is the smell of sewage i have had to live with and made many complaints about that only up until that last month they did more then pour solution down the toilet. All these issues encouraged me to stop renting and become a home owner and break the lease. It's very sad that given the circumstances I've had to endure with my infant and live with Management is not willing to be fair in the break lease amount. Even though I've held up the expectations that the complex requires of their renters. I would be cautious moving into the apartments as they allow the tenants to smoke on the decks which is also a huge safety concern as well as please make sure before moving in you have it safety checked so you don't have the same issues as well as put everything I writing, since I started to put everything in writing it was only till my last month they wanted to fix the sewage smell. Very, very disappointed in this complex. read more

I have been here since 2009. I got a dog a year ago, so I walk this property four times a day, from 5:30 am to as late as 8:00 pm. I just read the other comments and do feel that I need to respond to some of them. I will point out right now that many of the negative ones are really old. I feel totally safe, having never experience any problems in that area. I'm on first floor, in an apartment that is in the lower portion of the property. I have only had one flooding issue (a portion of one bedroom), which was about two years ago. At that time, the ENTIRE COUNTY was under a flood warning. I have Comcast for cable, phone, and internet and work at home with large amounts of data; my service has gone out maybe every 1.5 years, for a maximum of 5 hours. I have not heard of anyone not being able to get Comcast in the complex. It is an older property. I had the guys over once to tighten towel bars in the bathrooms. I have had my AC, microwave, and dishwasher replaced because of old age. But with an older property you also get mature trees and a larger square footage for the money. The apartment does run cold. During the winter I do run a small electric space heater in the living room in the evenings and weekends. During the summer I often do not need to turn on the AC until mid afternoon. It evens out. There was maintenance staff turnover, around this time last year (maybe spring 2017), but it has been seriously for the better. The few times I have seen bushes with heavy snow covering the sidewalks has been in the late evening or very early morning while it was still snowing. What I have consistently seen are people out on Sunday and out early on any day clearing sidewalks and staircases to the upper floors in all types of bad weather. I do think Lyon Living did not keep up on preventative maintenance and property improvements like they should have. That is being rectified right now. The office staff - don't understand that comment about their work hours being flexible. I've been in there several times late on a Saturday afternoon and there is always someone there. They are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful and responsive. Work orders are responded to promptly, not that I put many in. The office folks communicate well with the maintenance staff. The entire staff is professional, friendly, and goes out of their way to be helpful. They care. Neighbors are friendly. It is the type of place where you can choose to just stay to yourself or meet people. I had a problem earlier this year with my upstairs neighbor; I alerted the staff and they stayed on top of the issue until it was resolved. It is quiet. Location is great and having two entrances to the bike path is wonderful. I'm happy! read more

Do not live here. They only give one reserved stall per household and there is never any open parking because they didn't make enough stalls to accommodate the amount of people living here. By 4pm all the stalls are taken and I've had to park miles away from my apartment and walk in the cold/ dark which is extremely unsafe as a young woman. If you have more than one car in your household be prepared to never have parking remotely close to where you live. This has become a safety issue and the management will do nothing about it. read more

Moved out in January of 2023. Lived here on and off throughout my childhood mom lived here 2008-2011 and dad lived here 2012-2018 moved back in thinking that it would be ok. Car got towed in the middle of the night for not having a parking pass. Saw a few cars in there without license plates that sat there for months with no parking pass. Put in multiple maintenance requests to fix my toilet and they never showed up was broken for about 3 months. Couldn't use my bathroom. Plugs fell out of outlets and half of them didn't work. Got a bill for my move out it's over $12,000 have reached out to a lawyer to sue them. Heating bill in the winter is disgusting because of the windows. Was told to "put up better insulation" for the windows. Front door had a huge gap between the door frame and the door. Boyfriend once spent the night and his car got towed for not having a pass. All in all really shitty place to live and management has been there since the Stone Age and won't adapt to modern apartment living. Property management company is based in California and I've looked this is the only out of state property they own and they don't understand our weather. DO NOT LIVE HERE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND WONT DO ANYTHING TO FIX IT YOUR APARTMENT IF IT HAS ISSUES!!! read more

If I could give this Apartment Community a negative I would. I have lived here for a almost a year. If you have a complaint the management will not take your seriously and will not follow up with you. All they care about is getting your rent. This is not a community I suggest living in. There hours during the day are from 9 am to 5 pm so if you are working you have to take time off your job. Which is not conducive to most people schedules. They close there office at the first sign of snow and taking care of the walkways are not a priority. I will start by saying I had to move into an apartment after owning my own home for more then 12 years. I hadn't lived in an apartment since my 20's and that was the experience I was expecting. All I have to say is that it was nothing of the sort. My building was always quiet and these are old builds ( maybe the 1980s ) so they built them thicker and I almost heard no one above me or on the sides of my apartment. It was a nice surprise. The pools are fantastic. The one in the front is bigger and a little nicer then the one in the back.. But they are always well kept and heated for the winter.. The staff at Autumn Chase was fantastic.. All the ladies in the front office Stephine, Shelley and Nancy are stellar. Could not thank each one of them enough for all their assistance. The maintenance staff is extremely helpful and on call 24/7 with fast response time. I had a maintenance emergency at 12 am on a Saturday night and Teo was there in 10 mins ready to help. John was fantastic in fixing my stove when it went out.. All in all if I have to move back into an apartment my choice would be Autumn Chase. read more

I urge anyone to avoid these apartments! Not worth the cost or inconvenience. Avoid anything associated with Lyon Communities (the company which owns Autumn Chase). The only positive thing about this complex was the maintenance crew and some of the staff members, ex. Shellie (I believe her name was). Even though the maintenance guys have done great work and been extremely attentive to problems, the issues that Lyon Communities refuse to fix are way over the maintenance crew expertise. If you rent here, be prepared for your apartment to be flooded every time it rains. From a small amount of rain, over 35 units flooded (that have been reported so far) because of large cracks near the siding and base of the apartment. This happens almost every time it rains or snows or hails. This issue WASN'T caused by large amounts of rain, it's from the poor quality of the apartment. As a result bedrooms are disheveled and belongings are sopping wet. Lyon Communities has avoided the root of the problem, yet rent is frequently increased for all. When talking to Lyon, they talk of a lot of plans but aren't following through. The same issues keep occurring year after year without any action from Lyon Communities. I realize Autumn Chase and carpet cleaners can only do so much but the root of the problem needs to be fixed. Not to mention bushes cover the sidewalks with heavy snow and there's NOTHING done about it. If you're elderly this will be a HUGE problem for you. People have fallen not becuase of ice but because we have to hike on piles of snow around the bushes. If you work nights you will be slipping as you try to hike around the bushes when you come home. Autumn Chase has known this is an issue and does nothing about it. Also, you might not get cable in these apartments. Comcast says there's an issue with the buildings that Lyons Communities refuses to pay to fix and you will most likely have to have a cable cord running across your living room. I REALLY urge anyone to save your time and look somewhere else. read more

Being an out of state visitor she even provided me with suggestions of where to go and what to see and had the pleasure of dining out with her. Today is a snow day -- huge piles in driveway, on walks, steps, in parking lot. Needs shoveling NOW! Office is closed and does not call back. They closed because of the weather --- leaving renters in their apartments stranded. In fact, the management is violating a town ordinance that says they must shovel snow off walkways and parking areas. The "management" of this place is basically anti-customer and has put out some ridiculous "rules" in the past. They actually blame renters for not following their "rules" and now no decorations, plants, trees, bird feeders or hangings are allowed on our porches. We do not recommend this anti-customer apartment complex. The neighborhood has many other more friendly and appealing apartments that do value their renters. read more

I moved out a few months ago. Pros: -Conveniently located right off the highway. -Backs up to a jogging/biking trail that leads to the mall (and Krispy Kreme). -The apartment was bigger than we could have gotten for the same money elsewhere. -The neighbors are super friendly and very quiet. No all-night parties. -The leasing office was always helpful with any questions I had. -They have doggy bags and trash cans everywhere (for free). -The layout in the 1-bedroom apartment felt more like a home, with a separate living room, kitchen, and dining room, rather than one big room for everything. -I didn't have any surprise charges when I moved out. -They have real wood fireplaces! Cons: -The building is a bit older, so the insulation isn't great. In the winter, you can definitely feel a difference when you are close to a wall/window as opposed to the middle of the room. -Sometimes the parking lot wasn't plowed in the morning, so I had to be VERY careful for the 30 feet to the road. read more
