The state was called for investigation and despite the case still being open, they called me and said we had to leave. The director, Alyssa Barlotta and VP Lauren Standfast are absolutely horrible and unprofessional people to work with. This all happened in purple cats classroom. Do NOT send your kids here. If you ever put your kids safety as your priority and question/complain they will kick you out. Believe me, we don't want to pay people all this money to be constantly stressed out over our Children's safety and well-being only to be treated this way by people who clearly don't care about children. At the end of the day this is a business for them and they will do whatever it takes to make it seem like they are not at fault and protect their employees. I find it interesting that another review with 1 star also had a similar experience and was asked to leave because she complained! I also had a daughter in the infant class and there was 1 teacher in particular who was not equipped to handle infants properly and when I expressed my concern, that teacher was so rude and nasty with both me and my husband. Anytime we came to drop off or pick up our daughter she would roll her eyes, ignore us, or give us attitude. It's sickening that these people are in the business of "taking care of children. She…read morewas "shocked" to learn that I had concerns about the lack of consistency in classrooms and teachers, although I had explicitly discussed this with the director. I have also spoken with other parents who told me that they have brought this concern to the director as well. I should clarify that it has been 13 teachers and 5 classrooms in two and a half years, not three. Of those 13 teachers, only 4 are still employed by Lightbridge. Additionally, the owner proudly told me that they have an average tenure of 1 to 2 years for teachers, which strongly highlights a management issue. While the director "reinforced" to me that she had wonderful relationships with the teachers, it does not change the fact that I have had teachers cry to me in the parking lot of the school about the lack of respect from the administration. The teachers spend all day, every day with these children and have strong relationships with the parents. The administration is completely out of touch with their staff and the parents if anything in my review surprises them.

Our child was completely unsupervised for a total of 28 minutes and left outside in the cold, dark, back playground with all gates open for any predator to come in and have potentially kidnap her. Two teachers were unable to account for a measly eight students. This was absolutely terrifying and at no time did the center nor district director attempt to rectify the situation and just said sorry and that they would write up the two teachers that failed their protocol of doing a face to name check going out and coming back in the building. This just goes to show that just having bodies and not qualified intelligent individuals are sought out after for the care of our children. No one knew where she was when we couldn't find her when we went to pick her up until my husband walked past a window and my daughter saw him and immediately started hysterically crying. Total neglect. To make matters worse there is no transparency made to the parents of this incident and what actions will be conducted moving forward to avoid this from happening to another child and instead is all hush, hush. Unless you decide to disenroll your child, don't expect a call expressing a sincere apology or rectifications to any of your concerns or serious ill events such as if your kid gets forgotten outside completely alone. The assistant director was the only one with the decency to call and actually ask how our daughter, myself and husband were doing. Although she was also ultimately responsible for this horrific event, she is the only one that owned up to this mistake. Not the teachers, not the director, nonetheless the district director. If you're a parent of Kindercare I suggest questioning all of your gut feelings and having them addressed immediately. I have seen videos of same exact instances with Kindercare in another state and other daycare establishments with news stations involved for children being left outside for a total of 3 to 8 minutes during the day! Can you imagine how serious this is for 28 minutes in the cold and dark?! What could have happen that didn't, thank god?! Let this sink in as you read all the other positive reviews as did I. It takes seconds to make a life altering mistake for a family that entrusts their heart, body and soul with utter and complete strangers. Shame on you all. Our daughter is 2.5 and couldn't tell us what happened during that 30 minute time frame she was outside in the dark nor are there cameras over looking the playground with gates open at all times incase of an "emergency". All other centers have alarms on the gates at the very least. Simple, cheap, effective way to avoid kidnappings when your kid is forgotten outside by their caretakers. An investment that will hopefully be made very soon after this inexcusable mistake.

I could hear this while standing outside the building during pick-up and I also heard it when inside the building in the halls. My child started as a very young infant and the 2 caregivers that worked with her most closely seemed annoyed that she was struggling to take a bottle, or cried, or wanted to be held, or struggled with the texture of some foods when she was later starting on solids. All normal parts of development, learning to eat, etc. Caregiver would make negative comments to my baby in front of me at drop off if the baby started to fuss when separating from me. The 3rd caregiver she had at the school did seem caring and attentive and started to do sensory activities daily. Prior to this, it seemed that there were no books read, songs sang, games played, sensory activities. Staff wanted babies to lay and play by themselves. When I entered the room on a few occasions, I saw most staff scrolling on their phones while sitting on the floor rocking babies in rockers or on their bodies, and with older babies crawling around and not being interacted with. My child seemed traumatized by the lack of nurturing caregiver with whom to bond on her first times away from her mom.

Overall, my wife and I were very happy with this facility and if it were still practical to send our son there, we would. As with any new parents, we were very nervous about picking a daycare as everyone has a horror story. Two things stand out about LB of Freehold which ultimately eased our concerns: 1) The owners care. From day one Vita and Nicole were incredibly welcoming and professional. Not a day went by where we were not met with a friendly greeting. If there was a concern, they were always receptive and willing to set aside time to listen and take action when necessary. 2) The facility was modern (opened around 2015) and very clean. Every night each classroom along with all the toys were cleaned and disinfected. Did our son get sick? Yes, of course he did, it's daycare, but it was not excessive and was not a result of the facility being dirty (I'll hold the commentary on parents dropping off kids that are already sick). The teachers my son had (Infants / mobile infants /1.5-2.5 years) were great. All cared and all were in control of their classrooms and there was no turnover during my son's tenure (Ms Meryl in the infant room was incredibly caring and really helped our sons transition to DC). The owners made good hires. Some turnover was noted at the teacher aide level, but that is to be expected. Finally, and most importantly our son enjoyed being there. He never protested going in the morning and was always happy when we picked him up. Being around other kids on a daily basis has helped him develop socially. This is evident when I see him around other toddlers who have not spent time with their peers. If you have reasonable expectations, this is a great daycare and I would recommend to anyone looking in the Freehold area.
