Before my 2yo and 4yo started attending TLE of Hillsborough, there were some reviews that made us think twice before sending our children there. Pay no attention to those reviews as those days are long over and it is a completely different center now. Lead by Ms. Vrinda and her assistant Ms. Orian, this center is growing what seems like by the day. My children LOVE it there and the teachers show love and care for both of my children. The curriculum is outstanding as my 4yo is coming home demonstrating sign language, knowledge of the 50 states and their capitals, Spanish, and even some reading! The center looks and even smells clean when you walk in the door and that's great for a daycare! Stop in to see Ms. Vrinda, Ms. Orian, or even the owner of the center and a really nice man, Mr. Jeetu. Take a tour with one of them and see their awesome indoor playground called make believe bullivard or their colorful and large classrooms. You won't be disappointed. read more

We are thrilled with our experience at Hillsborough TLE. The staff has so much heart and genuine caring mindset. My son eagerly looks forward to go to school. The teachers engage the kids individually, fostering their development. The management ensures a safe, fun, and loving environment. KINDERGARTEN .... They trying to implement kindergarten for TLE Which would be accommodating for anyone and everyone especially due to before and aftercare. It is very affordable, safe, fun, trusting. I personally feel like when I leave my son in school, I have no worries because TLE is an extension to our family. It would be amazing if more people signed up so they can make it happen. This is not an advertisement. My son has been going to TLE Hillsborough since he has been two years old and he is now turning five and I am hoping to not say goodbye as of yet if we don't need to. My son was enrolled at TLE for 2 years and as soon as I was able to I sent my daughter there! the staff is great and I have no doubt she is well taken care of throughout the day! they update the app regularly so you know what is going on and she has learned so much since she has been enrolled. Our daughter is in the Infant Room at TLE Hillsborough and we have loved our experience! ALL of the staff members are kind and seem to love being at work. Every time you walk into the school you are personally greeted and a short story of something your child did that day is shared - because even if the staff aren't classroom teachers they are present with the kids at all time. They really know the students and strive to develop personal relationships with the families. Specifically in our daughter's room - they take care of her and are so attentive to her ever changing needs (as the needs of an infant are constantly changing). They encourage her to explore and learn and we are so excited for her to continue her early education in such a warm, welcoming and loving environment. =) read more

My daughter has learned more in one month since being here than more in a year since she was at her last preschool in the area. The teachers are always smiling and engaged with the children. My daughter loves going to school and seeing Ms. Kristy. The classrooms are so vibrant and welcoming. The director is always happy and welcoming all families. I see other reviews speak negatively about the school but that was with previous owners and directors who are long gone. I can't wait to see my daughter flourish even more! read more

Yelp deleted my first review due to me "promoting" the place we took our child after The Learning Experience. So here's my original review, copy & pasted, with the promotional stuff taken out. Keep in mind, my experience is from about 3 years ago, so things may have changed at The Learning Experience since then: We took the tour of the place and it seemed decent, as were the hours. We enrolled our toddler (he was 1 year old, going on 2) and we pulled him in less than one week. He would cry like crazy when my wife dropped him off - we assumed this was normal behavior (although he didn't cry like that when we used to drop him off at the in-home daycare we had him in previously - we had to take him out of there because the girl was moving & closing her business). My wife would walk to the main entrance area and watch on the TVs and see him being left there to cry. The workers would call for him to come over or whatever, but that was it. They did nothing to actually COMFORT him. That's the key word here... there was absolutely zero comforting or one-on-one being done with him - and he wasn't even 2 years old yet and this was his first week! They were content to let him cry until he got over it. When I arrived to pick him up, I remember seeing this girl who must have still been a teenager, sitting there lifelessly blowing bubbles at the kids. The kids were just standing there looking at the bubbles, hardly even wanting to play with them. The girl's eyes were empty of any emotion, she wasn't talking to or playing with the kids, just literally sitting there blowing bubbles AT them. It was one of the most miserable and depressing scenes I've ever seen. We had no hesitation in gathering up all his stuff and leaving, only days after starting. I thought this may seem awkward so I tried joking with one of the female staff members in the room about it - and what she told me was very telling. She said this wasn't the first time, and was definitely implied that "it happens". Also of note: my wife was a former daycare employee herself (not here though), and she was appalled about how these one-year olds were being neglected... not health or safety-wise, but emotionally. Maybe this place is better for older kids, but don't consider enrolling your baby or toddler here. read more

I just want give update on this review. They have a new director and things have improved a lot. They have opened up new class rooms. You can see the difference when you enter the building. They had many fun filled activities recently. They had someone talk about veterans, kids learned about fire safety and many more things. The difference with other day care centers is that The Learning Experience offers enrichment programs and foreign languages. It is safe to say that most of the kids learn to read before they go to Kindergarten. I like their Show N Tell app. They provide constant updates during the day. You can see the activities on your app. Hillsborough TLE is completely different from what it used to be an year ago. read more

This was the first time my son was away from being in the care of someone other than my wife or I and grandparents. We were at first nervous to say the least as my son is incredibly shy. But even after the first day you could tell the teachers care and tried to make him feel welcomed. He has learned so much and think the class is well structured to which allows him to have fun but still learn at the same time. We are so happy with our decision of bringing our son here. read more

Our 3 year old son just started going to TLE Hillsborough and WOW what a change! He's been going to another day care since he was 6 months and it was a great place but we felt that he just wasn't challenged enough. We made the decision to try this school based on the reviews and what we have read and just blown away from the walk through and sit down during our initial consultation. Navigating through a new school where you have structure, process and learning seemed intimidating at first for our son because he is used to a family orientated daycare Where it was just fun and carefree. He was reluctant to go in the beginning but the staff was extremely helpful and loving and helped ease his fears and have made it so he absolutely loves going to school every day. What a huge change in his learning. The staff is very personal and professional. He loves his teachers. I can't say enough positive things about this school and would recommend it to every one! read more

Both of my kids have been going to this school for more than 3 years now. To start with i would like to share about my elder child,the school he went to before this one (in Hillsborough itself) did not potty train him at all. The main reason for changing my child's school was in fact because they were not potty training him at all and kept blaming him for it. After being fed up with them i started looking for another school. Met with Krish the owner of TLE at Hillsborough and he assured me and my wife that our son would be potty trained soon and the staff would take all efforts to make it happen.within 2 months of joining TLE my son was fully potty trained. That was a big milestone to reach and my son has been hitting each milestone after that. Nutrituous meals starting with breakfast lunch etc is provided throughout the day and lots of fun and learning activities make sure you child is always learning something new. They recently started the STEM lab which is really good since it gives exposure to kids at a young age. For my daughter she has been going to TLE at Hillsborough when she was 9 months old and i see tremendous improvement in her already. read more

The Learning Experience has gone downhill drastically since last year. The turnover rate is absolutely horrendous. The owner yells at people and attempts to get more money from them even though they signed a contract. This will be the last month my daughter goes here. read more

Hillsborough has the best teachers who genuinely care about their students' growth and development.

My son learned to speak in 3 months. He was enrolled and virtually non-verbal and he started in september and he was expressing words by December. The toddler teachers worked with him to make him feel safe and empowered. My older son has Ms. Kristy in PreK and she is amazing. She's friendly and knowledgable and my son loves her. her classroom is clean, informative and welcoming. Since taking over, Mr. Krish has worked really hard to make TLE Hillsborough a great place for kids read more

TLE has been a huge part of my daughter and I day to day life. My daughter is in the toddler class. Many centers don't have curriculum for that ago but TLE has a great curriculum for all age groups. Everything is learning based and the Teachers and staff are phenomenal! State requirements are met, building is clean, stuff very helpful. This center is like a family! Everybody knows each other and all the kids personally. I couldn't rave about this center anymore than I already do. After just one visit you can just feel and see for yourself that TLE is the way to go. I highly recommend this Center not just for toddlers but for all ago groups accepted. TLE even has a wonderful summer camp program with daily activities and surprises to keep your little ones happy all summer long. read more

I just have to say that TLE in Hillsborough is great and I highly recommend this daycare to anyone! My wife and I checked out many daycares before choosing The Learning Experience and it was certainly an easy decision. The teachers in my sons class greet him every morning with a smile and makes him feel so welcome. It really helps our morning go smoothly. He is learning so much, every night at dinner, he tells us something new that he has learned! You can tell the teachers truly care about each child. It makes us feel so great that he is in such good hands. He has made some good friends and loves going to school. We are expecting our third child in a few months and we will be sending the baby there when my wife goes back to work. I can't say enough good things- we love TLE Hillsborough! read more

Our daughter had been enrolled in this daycare since 2011. At the time, it was run by a wonderfully competent center director and truly caring teachers. That center director has since left and the center was transitioned to a franchise. The current center director, promoted from a classroom teacher when the center changed to a franchise, is incompetent in daily operations and lies to parents in order to cover her incompetence. When asked to manage an ongoing classroom issue that she had been aware of as the teacher for that classroom, she fabricated stories about children in the class. Eventually, she worked out an acceptable solution and the center franchisee contact us to ensure our satisfaction, even following up in email. That Saturday, he emailed us to arrange a meeting and when we called him, he expelled our daughter! He provided no documentation or details, despite repeated requests, and ignored our communication stating that he had expelled our daughter. When we involved corporate, this center franchisee lied, claiming "confusion." Unfortunately, corporate said they would manage him based on their internal policies. At one time, we recommended many family friends to TLE. The teachers are wonderful but their morale is low: the center director and franchisee do not abide by ratios and often don't provide teacher breaks. The center franchisee has not paid his teachers on time and "forgot" to sign their checks once. He spent his first month of ownership threatening parents with unprompted tuition hikes. It's such a disappointment, but this center is not what it once was. Avoid at all costs. read more

As recently as a year ago I would have given TLE five stars. With all the recent management and staff turnover, however, the place is on a downward spiral. The teachers have been jumping ship and there have been five center directors in under a year - with the most recent stating that she believes the center should and will close. The worst has been since this location went from corporate owned to a franchisee. The current "owner" is clueless. I don't blame the staff for leaving in droves...I would not stay at a job where I did not get paid on time. They are also constantly out of ratio and being asked to supervise more children than they are legally supposed to. As to the "rumors" brought up in another review, these are not rumors but actual events that transpired at the center. There were several recent issues between children and instead of taking any steps to resolve these issues, the owner decided to simply expell the child who's parents requested a resolution. Tuitions have been increased arbitrarily and when questioned the owner simply responds "so take me to court... I'll win". . Several children were not fed lunch one day and instead of the center director taking accountability, she threw her staff under the bus. These are just a few examples of recent incidents. I have not experienced or heard anything positive since the new owner took over, but I do know he offers discounts for positive reviews on social media. It is extremely sad that a once excellent child care center has deteriorated so rapidly. read more

I 100% agree with this review. We dropped our 1 year old off the week of Sandy, thinking that it would be an easy week to transition her since most kids would not be there and we would be home to pick her up as needed. When we got there the teacher was dressed in pajamas and did not even introduce herself to my husband and I. We left to do paperwork and of course she began to cry...the lady at the front dest assured us it was normal and that she would go assist the teacher. I asked her if the teacher was overwhelmed because of the storm and she told us that she shouldnt have been because more than half her class was not in. I told them I would be back later that afternoon. As I drove off I got a pit in my stomach and waited only 25 minutes to return. When i came back in the lady from the front desk who was supposed to be helping her treacher was back at her desk and my daughter was found covered in her pee crying in the corning with no one watching or compforting her. There was also a student sitting under the sink playing with the hardware. The teacher was shocked I was back and pretended to care...so glad we never paid, she is now happy at the Montessori school near Stop and Shop. read more

I was planning on transferring my daughter from a TLE in Woodbridge to this TLE in Hillsborough NJ. I had gone in on a Friday at 2 PM and gave a check for the registration fee. Once I left the location I notice the monthly tuition was higher than the one my daughter was currently enrolled in. I called that same Friday at 5 PM and told her I won't continue with the registration process. With no worries the girl said fine. Tuesday the following week I noticed the daycare negotiated my check. I called the daycare who said it was up to corp to decide whether I get a refund. I called corp who denied me for a refund and a transfer of funds to the other TLE center. Although I saw they negotiated my check Monday and the fact that I called 3 hours after visiting the center they made it impossible for me to get my check back. This center has no remorse or compassion for a working mother. Ovid location!!!!! read more
