Eventually, after training Fidget at home for a while and other training, I decided to train her as a service dog for my social anxiety which is recognized by the ADA as a disability. Working privately with Michael has been amazing. I couldn't believe how much his knowledge about dogs has made such a huge difference in Fidget. The change after just one lesson was evident. I've learned that the e-collar isn't a punishment but rather just a tool to get her attention. Kind of like a tap on the shoulder.
