Extremely frustrating experience…read more Before signing my lease, I made it very clear that having a reliable A/C system was a necessity for me. I explained that I understood repairs could take a few days if something needed to be fixed, but I never expected to deal with ongoing A/C problems for more than 2 months. Since moving in, the A/C has repeatedly stopped working. I have now been informed that drywall will need to be removed so that ductwork can be installed to vents that were apparently never connected to the A/C system. Finding out that the home has missing or improperly connected ductwork after moving in is extremely concerning. I also never received a move-in inspection before taking possession of the property. Because I rented the home sight unseen, I expected there to be an opportunity to document the condition of the property when I moved in. That never happened. Now I'm almost positive I'll lose my security deposit even with all the videos and pictures I took prior to moving my stuff in. If you are considering renting through Marshall Reddick, I would strongly recommend documenting everything yourself, keeping all communication in writing, and thoroughly inspecting the property before signing or taking possession. And if A/C is a BIG make-it or break-it, like it is for me, then good luck trying to get them to put it into your lease contract. They'll just reassure you it will be just fine. Then months later during the summer you barely have A/C.

Me and my wife were excited to move into our new home, but our entire move in experience with…read moreMarshall Reddick has been extremely frustrating. From the very beginning there were issues that should have been handled long before we arrived. First, the security system situation was honestly unacceptable. I was told in writing that there was no alarm system installed. I still have those messages. Then on move in day, when I walked in with my new keys, the alarm immediately went off. I was never given a security code, no instructions, nothing. They also never communicated to me that the security system code was the same code as the house code. The alarm was blaring and warning that police would be alerted, and I had to literally guess that the house code might disarm it. Thankfully it worked, but being told the system didn't exist and then not receiving a code made for a very stressful and unnecessary situation. Next, basic maintenance in the home was not taken care of. Every smoke detector was low battery on move in and I had to pay out of pocket to replace them. Both HVAC air filters were extremely dirty. They eventually mailed a filter, but that does not fix the fact that this should have been handled before we moved in. We also did not have any bathtub plugs, which they sent after I requested them. The fridge water was turned off, so my father in law had to pull the fridge out to get it working. The fridge light bulb was out, and while they offered to reimburse it, again this is something that should have been ready on move in. With our thermostat, it would have been helpful to be informed of the make and model ahead of time so I could at least look up how to use it. This particular smart thermostat was not nearly as simple to figure out as it might seem, especially with no instructions provided, and the battery in it was dead as well. Having to troubleshoot and research all of this on move in day added even more unnecessary stress. There was also confusion about key pickup. I was originally told to pick them up at their office. When I reached out closer to move in, they forgot they told me that and instead said to use a lockbox at the property. This would have been more convenient, but I only found out because I asked. If I hadn't reached out right before move in to remind them about the key pickup, I might have driven all the way to their office in Clarksville only to find out the keys were actually at the property. This is something that should have been communicated clearly without me having to chase the information down. On top of that, the alarm system was still under the previous resident's account. Again, nothing was communicated about this and I had to figure it out myself when the system would not set up correctly. The biggest and most stressful issue has been our HVAC. Since early November we have had constant problems with our heat. It has gone out five different times. We have had to rely on space heaters just to sleep and stay comfortable, and this has been incredibly concerning especially with my wife being pregnant. We have put in multiple maintenance requests and yet we still have not had consistent heat for the entire month and a half we have lived here. As I am writing this review, the heat has gone out again. This has made us extremely uncomfortable in a home we are paying full rent for. To be fair, they offered to reimburse the fridge light bulb, sent bathtub plugs, mailed an air filter after I asked, and they have been communicating with me throughout this process to try and resolve these issues. That effort is the reason this is not a zero star review. Still, none of that changes the fact that nearly every issue I listed should have been handled before move in, and it does not undo the stress we have been under because of the HVAC problem. If you plan on moving into a home in Nashville with Marshall Reddick, I strongly recommend doing a very thorough inspection before committing. Check all batteries, confirm every system, make sure you are given the correct codes, and definitely verify the HVAC is working properly. I hope no one else has to experience the level of inconvenience and discomfort we have gone through.

I saw someone else write it but it is true - 5 stars isn't enough. Sara was absolutely amazing to work with. We were relocating to the Nashville area with very limited time and little local knowledge and she exceeded every expectation. She started with thoughtful, thorough prep to help us understand the different areas of the Nashville metro, then efficiently took us all over so we could quickly get a real feel for each neighborhood. She helped us narrow our search even further and ultimately guided us into contract on our dream home -- all while we weren't even in town. Sara was exceptional in helping us think through negotiation strategy. She supported our asks, clearly explained the risks and tradeoffs of different offer approaches, and made sure we felt confident and informed every step of the way. She truly understood our needs and advocated for us. After we went under contract, she didn't disappear -- she connected us with fantastic contractors and vendors to help us make improvements to the house. Her network for home improvements is incredible. If you're relocating, buying from out of town, or just want someone who genuinely has your best interests at heart, use Sara and Moving Music City. She is knowledgeable, strategic, supportive, and an absolute joy to work with. We couldn't recommend her more highly.

My partner and I began our home search in January 2025, knowing we wanted to buy eventually but not feeling rushed to find the right place. Hanna was patient every step of the way and never once made us feel pressured - something we appreciated so much as first-time buyers. Early in the process, she connected us with a fantastic mortgage lender who helped us navigate the complexities of getting pre-approved with non-traditional freelance income. Hanna was always available to answer our many questions and made sure we felt informed and confident throughout the process. She was incredibly generous with her time, always making herself available to tour homes with us and carefully pointing out anything that might be a concern. It always felt like she was truly looking out for us and protecting our interests. This February we finally found our home, and Hanna guided us through what felt like a very fast and sometimes wild process with total calm and expertise. She offered thoughtful recommendations when we asked, but always respected and supported our decisions rather than ever pushing us in a direction we weren't comfortable with. Thanks to Hanna, we are now proud first-time homeowners. Beyond her professionalism and expertise, Hanna is simply a genuinely kind and caring person. During our home search our dog became sick with cancer, which slowed down our process for a while. Hanna sent the sweetest care package for our dog, and that gesture meant so much to us during a really difficult time. We truly could not recommend Hanna and the MMC team more highly.

During the house hunting process, Brooks was always available to discuss my needs and show me homes at my convenience. She was an amazing advocate for me as I looked for homes, especially considering how competitive the Nashville real estate market is. Once we found a home, Brooks guided us through the buying process and helped answer any questions we had. Beverly was with us for the inspection of the home and she was just as great to work with. We recently sold our home with Spellings Real Estate, with Brooks as our primary contact. She made the sometime daunting process so manageable. During the process, when the photographer came, Beverly offered some great tips on staging our house for photos and showings. She really made our home shine! From the moment we met with Sam, he gave us an extremely thorough run down of what this process would entail and what to expect during each phase of the home-buying process. Sam takes the time to really listen to your ideas, wants, and needs while also providing extremely valuable input. When viewing homes, Sam really helped us try to envision them as if they were our own. He would ask us "So what would the set-up look like in this room?" etc. He would also point out different details regarding repairs/ work that would need to be done to the home based on his experience. This was very helpful as most of these details are things we would likely have never noticed. When we were ready to submit an offer, Sam walked us through each step and gave us helpful tools to make our offer stand out. Sam is quick to respond and was always there to reassure us or answer our questions. He has the biggest heart; you can tell that he truly cares for his clients. We will absolutely be recommending Sam to anyone who is trying to purchase/sell a home. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we have Sam to thank for that!
