We agreed on a price/date. On the date/time the work was supposed to be done, the guy doesn't show up and states he's doing another job right now. That's fine, I get it. Shit happens. Should have given me an update at the very least, no? Especially since I told them I had another company that was willing to do it but I chose Barricella once they were able to meet the price. The least they could do was show some courtesy here and give me a heads up so I could plan accordingly. I live in NJ and drove to NY and canceled some plans expecting work to be done but they weren't even going to show up. Because it's in NYC and I needed the super of an apartment behind my home to allow for easy access for the removal of the tree, the super (who wasn't a live-in super) had to travel to the building only for me to tell them, face-to-face, Barricella wasn't going to show up. Nice. No apology, no nothing. Just a "We can't show up." Totally disregarding other people's time. I ended up just calling the other company and within a few days, they completed the job. No hassle, no back-and-forth nonsense. My brother has a home in Long Island and we've already set up an appointment to remove a handful of trees. Do better, seriously. Edit: To prove how even more unprofessional this business is, they sent me a message claiming I was posting a fake review. I responded by uploading a photo of our conversation. The owner is now claiming that the photo is also fake. Not only is this immature and unprofessional, it tells me they are taking zero accountability for their mistake and are doubling down on being unprofessional.

Hairline sized cracks led to full on chunks breaking off as my fairly newly constructed home settled over the years. My concerns grew about their safety. I hit up Yelp, and requested quotes for the project. James was one of the first to reach out and even when my hectic work schedule made it difficult to chat, James was flexible and began to communicate with me via text. He quoted me a fair price, unlike some of the other contractors. We were set and ready to go until Mother Nature (ie. rainy days) delayed the start of the work. Once it was all clear and sunny days were back on the horizon, the repair work began. It's almost impossible to get in touch with Eli, and even when you do and ask for a copy of your bill, don't expect to receive it. I've requested my 2025 invoice several times, and as of August 3, 2026, I still haven't received it. You might wonder why I've stayed with this company for so long. The answer is loyalty. I've tried calling, leaving messages, and following up multiple times, but nothing has changed. If you're looking for a company that provides reliable communication and follows through on customer requests, this has not been my experience.
