Staff knew about it but the very pregnant employee certainly could do anything about it in her condition & I wouldn't want her to. Whoever put it there never should have. The stuff looks moldy and gross. Given the mess with the rest of the laundromat, I doubt anyone will disinfect that space once the insulation is removed. The chairs throughout the laundromat appear to have never once been wiped down and there is a ton of garbage and food in between them. The parking lot has litter all over it. It appeared that at least 1/5th of the dryers and washing machines were out of order. With so many laundromats in Rome, there is no need to go back to this one.

I come to wash oversized comforters that doesn't fit into my wash machine. The prices in my opinion are very reasonable and I think on Wednesday's there are discounts. I have forgotten my detergent both times, no problem, they got you covered. they have machines or you can purchase individual detergent pods from them. It's located in a shopping strip behind the Waffle House and the ever popular El Don Mexican restaurant is a couple of doors down from the place. There are ample of parking and even though there are no parking spots directly in front of the store; still it's not a far walk...I say about 3-4 yards at the most. (This is important if you have lots of stuff to wash and have to haul your stuff back and forth.) You can however park right in front of the store-unload your stuff on the side walk and then go and park. This is what a lot of people do here. The store is unattended and open 24 hours with surveillance cameras all around the store. The store is cash only. They have a couple of quarter machines at the front. I was there about 11 AM and there shopping center was pretty busy. Lots of people around and no bums hanging out begging for change or smoking cigarettes.The area is pretty safe during the day time. But still I would definitely exercise common sense.... (There is a Food Depot Grocery store across the street and the store manager says people come in all the time asking for quarters and getting change to do laundry. I was able to buy detergent there and got cash back with my debt card with no problem.) When I was there the lovely owner Derrick was there sprucing the place up and doing some minor repair work. The place was very clean with no visible trash on the floor and the top of the machine where people pour their soap was clean too. I used 2 of their four loaders and 2 double loaders for this trip. The vending prices are of the following: $2.50 for double loaders. $.50 extra for the super wash $4.50 for 4 loaders. $4.75 for super wash. 7min. per quarter for dry. I was able to wash all the bedding, blankets and a two weeks worth of dark clothes in under 2 hours. The dryers were nice and hot. My stuff got dry in no time. Best part...I still had about $11 left out of $25.00 so off to the taco truck I go....reward time! Be back in a week or so to wash more bedding! Thanks Derrick and team! I did appreciate that the attendant was helpful, it was a comfortable temperature inside and a relaxing vibe in there However, some of the washers were leaking, several were broken and some of the dryers were out of service. There was also no soap in the restroom. I wasn't also shocked to see that the machines were coins only.

So maybe remove that from the wall or fix it Ceiling has water spots where the sailing is falling down, definitely some landlord special kind of fixing that has happened around here. Exposed electrical, painted over cracks, bugs visible under the dryers..etc. They have WiFi but you may get a bug from it. One toilet for everyone to use. Overall it'll work in a pinch. But expect to drop $10 on one load of laundry to wash and dry.

While the facility is clean and the staff is wonderful, I am giving this a 4-star review instead of a 5-star because of a frustrating issue with the dryer timers. ​Whenever you open a dryer door to pull a few items out early, the timer keeps ticking down. You end up losing precious minutes that you paid for while the machine is paused. I have mentioned this before, and I really hope the owner can find a way to remedy this so the timer pauses when the door is opened. ​Aside from that issue, the facility itself is great. It is about two years old, filled with excellent new machines, and kept incredibly clean. I also appreciate that when the owner adjusted the dryers to 10 cents a quarter, he lowered the washing machine prices from $5.75 down to $5.00. Another big plus is the late hours, with the last wash at 8:00 PM and closing at 10:00PM ​The absolute best part of this laundromat is the staff. There are three ladies who work here, including Elena, who opens in the morning. They are the heartbeat of this business and work incredibly hard. ​Recently, the owner seems to have secured a new hotel contract because flatbeds and trucks have been arriving loaded down with massive trailers of dirty laundry. Even though their workload has easily tripled, these three women don't skip a beat. They keep the place spotless--constantly wiping down the machines inside and out, cleaning the dryers, and keeping the floors immaculate--all while being warm and friendly to everyday customers. ​Because the laundromat is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, these ladies are putting in long, demanding days, with Elena often working past her shift to handle the commercial laundry.
